"This used to be America," argued a protester outside a health -care town hall meeting in Reston, Va., after a security officer threatened him with arrest for holding up a sign with a picture critical of Barack Obama.
The officer's response?
"It ain't no more, OK?"
Get the prescription for reclaiming America's heritage of liberty before the what the officer said is true Joseph Farah's "Taking America Back," autographed only at the WND SuperStore.
A video of the town hall held earlier this week by Rep. Jim Moran, D-Va., shows an unnamed protester standing on school grounds carrying a sign that read "Organizing for National Socialist Health Care The Final Solution" and depicted Barack Obama in the Joker's makeup.
Officer Wesley Cheeks Jr. then told the protester that even though others were holding signs, his sign was unacceptable because of the depiction of Obama.
"But you got this with a picture," Cheeks said, explaining why the protester was being singled out from the others. "That's the difference. This has got a picture on it. That don't have a picture on it.
"Sir, leave the picture down," the officer said. "If you put the picture back up, you'll be charged with trespassing."
Video of the exchange can be seen below:

Does anyone have a “clean” link to the joker face?
I mean, hypothetically, if one wanted to print out a few to post around his or her ‘berg...
Hypothetically...
Yeah...does someone have a link to a high rez version? Thanks
The officer's response?
"It ain't no more, OK?"
TIME TO SUE. WE NEED TO GET A REAL 1st Amendment lawyer and SUE THE PANTS OFF THE IDIOT...
later view.
One morning last week we woke in our neck of the woods to over fifty of those pesky little joker faces plastered up and down a main parkway. They were ripped down in two days but sure was fun to see. At the teabag rally this weekend they were selling t-shirts with the little guy on them.
Let me guess the race of the Police Officer.
Need to use the Good Glue next time.
[Let me guess the race of the Police Officer.]
Correct.
Where is the ACLU?
Next, try to guess his IQ! Probably similar to Zero’s.

Wow, is this thing a real American. The crap is coming. Whoops, it's here.
Sorry - it’s not for the cop to decide... Most cops are union members - and vote for dems. It’s not his place to make calls on the political content of posters...
You are kidding right. Sarcasm? So it’s up to the authorities to decide what political expression is acceptable and which are “below the belt”?! “Personally insulting”? Big deal. “Say absolutely nothing”? It was found to be offensive because it did say something.
So you think this is a cop’s job? WOW!!!
Not a big fan of the Constitution, I see. Nice. Not.
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." |
The man should know his rights were violated and tell the cop, sorry the constitution alows me to do this.
That’s where I got mine.. it’s my screen saver at work !!!
And grounds for ARREST, by an AGENT OF THE STATE?
Who is the one in the video? I want to call that communist!
I don’t get the outrage. The only ones who should be insulted by that poster are whites since Obama is being depicted in whiteface. We all know how it would go over with blacks if a white person did an Al Jolson impression today.
So the guy cant read...the picture offended him but the message on the sign didnt.
I’m also against flag burning , and other
‘rights’ written into the law by the ACLU.
BTW the "officer" is a school dostrict employee who clearly objected to the image not the presence of the 'demonstrator". Way above his paygrade to determine Frist Amendemnt issues.
Someone out here explained in detail on how to do it by using condensed milk (pet milk). Saturate the back with a sponge, flip to front and re-apply milk to front. They said it works so well you need a sandblaster to get them off.
bump
Cops are not agents of the state. They are hired by 'chief of police', who is hired by the 'city council', who are elected by the people. All local, and as it should be IMO.
His pen had slid voluptuously over the smoother paper, printing in large neat capitals _
DOWN WITH BIG BROTHER
DOWN WITH BIG BROTHER
DOWN WITH BIG BROTHER
DOWN WITH BIG BROTHER
DOWN WITH BIG BROTHER
Over and over again, filling half a page.
He could not help feeling a twinge of panic. It was absurd, since the writing of those particular words was not more dangerous than the initial act of opening the diary; but for a moment he was tempted to tear out the spoiled pages and abandon the enterprise altogether.
But he did not do so, however, because he knew that it was useless. Whether he wrote DOWN WITH BIG BROTHER, or whether he refrained from writing it, made no difference. [
] The Thought Police would get him just the same.
The State = government at any level.
The State = an entity with the power to use force, legally, to enforce its will.
So, what grounds for arrest would YOU support in this case?
Arrest = surrender your liberty to the State or face lethal force.
Not for you to decide what is what isn’t allowable. Even if you do object to it, it is not against the law.
I believe, hypothetically, that image would do nicely...
Oh, please. How many nutty libs over the years have displayed protest placards far more over the top than this one with no consequences (as should be the case)? The cop was out of line, and his statement about this not being America anymore is very telling. The Left in this country is slowly but surely showing their true colors. They aren't Americans at all, it would seem.
Check his posting history.
He thought that if only we’d stop encircling Russia with NATO, they’d magically turn into nice people and good neighbors...
What image? did I mess up with copy and paste again? darn, its tough being a senior citizen always misplacing a file!
No, being on slow dial up, I normally don't download videos.
I have, in most cases, more faith in the 'cop' on the beat, than the '9th circuit court'. The cop, I can do something about, a political court is more limited.

If Obama backs off on Nato encircling Russia, and the missile shield, it would be good for America.
That IS lib thinking, alrighty...
If only we’d stop resisting collectivism,
the collectivists would stop trying to enslave us.

Man, are you in the wrong place!
If you find that as personally insulting, then that's your problem. You are choosing to distort the intent of the poster by reading something into it, that isn't there.
He also seems fascinated with Milosovic and Demjanjuk.
can he be prosecuted for impersonating a police officer? A school security guard is not really a cop in most places...
But he's only been for a short while...

I’ve got fifty copies of this image on 11x17 on self adhesive paper ready to put to work in ACORN infested areas. My local non-union printer was happy to hook me up. Now I just need to make use of a little capitalism and charge slightly more than the printer billed me. Ha!
The law is what the cop says it is. If you don't like,it take it to court. If I were on the jury, I'd side with the cop in this case. We don't need wackos carrying around a racially insulting sign in an area where the cop is responsible for maintaining orderly conduct.
