President Ronald Reagan and Sen. Ted Kennedy were good friends, according to Nancy Reagan. But that didn't stop Kennedy from trying to undercut Reagan ... with a little help from the Soviet Union.

According to Peter Robinson, a research fellow at the Hoover Institution and a former White House speechwriter, Kennedy offered to make a deal with then-Soviet leader Yuri Andropov in 1983.

Robinson, writing for Forbes.com, says Kennedy sent his close friend, former California state Sen. John Tunney, to Moscow with a secret message to Andropov: Help the Democrats battle Reagan in the 1984 presidential election, and in return Kennedy would help Andropov in dealing with Reagan.

It sure worked! With Soviet backing, Walter Mondale carried only one state!

There used to be a word for people who would seek to do this type of thing with the help of a sworn enemy of the USA... it is "traitor."

Liberals see conservatives as a bigger threat. Liberals are natural allies of commies and terrorist. Liberals all but admit that. Country means very little to liberals, it is more about agenda.

Traitor is one word, I prefer the compound version Traitor-Scum.

“Liberals are natural allies of commies and terrorist.”

Yet strangely enough liberals are the first ones lined up for the firing squads when the communists have taken over. Proof positive that liberals are deranged.

I thought we used to punish (execute) people like that. Since feelings matter more, they are lionized and treated well. Silly me.

It is still a good word in some circles.

I have always thought him to be a scumbag, now it is probable that he was also a traitor.

Unfortunately many of the democrats and I fear that some republicans are being paid off or blackmailed my islamic terrorist pigs. I love using hate terms that fit.

Oh, but Teddy was a lion !! If anyone turned the TV on over the past 3 or 4 days, it was nauseating seeing this man portrayed as a great person and America.
Too many Americans, especially those in Massachusetts feel for the name only. SAD !

And as the Obama Administration falters, expect help to come from overseas 'allies' (allies of the liberals) that will help Obama restore his popularity.

Not sure what to believe regarding this report, but if true that would make Teddy a traitor.

This was nothing short of treason.

Using such tactics against a challenger to the presidency would have been very sleazy campaigning. But this was against a sitting president with a clear foreign policy.

Pelosi and Rockefeller have done the same. Treason.

I was raised to see through the Kennedy B.S. These past few days have been nauseating. I was literally dreading the passing of this POS.

Treason seems to be a prerequisite for becoming a US Senator from Massachussets.

And now this traitor is lionized and buried in hallowed ground reserved for heroes. He should be dug up and thrown in a garbage dump!

“There used to be a word for people who would seek to do this type of thing with the help of a sworn enemy of the USA... it is “traitor.” “

All the Democrats are traitors...which is why (since the glory days of Jane Fonda) the left has been working to take the teeth out of the anti-sedition laws, etc. They are openly traitors to the USA and they label their treasonous acts as “patriotism” — Orwellian to say the least. They are fortunate to have a painfully dumbed-down electorate thanks to generations of public education, which allows these maggots to do what they are doing.

I agree up to the point he should never have been buried there in the first place. My chosen way would be to find a 67 Oldsmobile and hang it from the bridge in Marxist Vineyard with him inside it.

Let US not forget there was also a ‘Polish’ Pope who was working with President Reagan in tearing down the ‘iron curtain’. Old ‘red’ Kennedy was not only against US he was against his church as well.

And there was one that darn well accomplished the deed. Old Teddy has a lot of explaining to do.

[[President Ronald Reagan and Sen. Ted Kennedy were good friends, according to Nancy Reagan. But that didn’t stop Kennedy from trying to undercut Reagan ...]]

Ah yes- ‘friendship’ with a democrat- The Repub scratches the dems back, the Dem turns aroudn and stabs the repub in the back and expects the repub to thank him for it.

[[They are fortunate to have a painfully dumbed-down electorate thanks to generations of public education, which allows these maggots to do what they are doing]]

I submit that not all of htem are dumbed down, and some DO know they are traitors, and elect them back into office knowing they are electign traitors- which makes those folks who keep voting htese maggots back into office traitors to this coutnry as well too
