NEW YORK (AP) - About a thousand people rallied in Manhattan on Saturday in support of federal health care reform legislation.
The event near Times Square began shortly after the funeral for U.S. Sen. Edward Kennedy, and took-on the feel of a tribute to the liberal leader.
One person carried a sign that said, "TeddyCare for all."

Wow. What are the odds of finding 1000 liberals in New York City who want a new program they think will give them free stuff?
To: Free ThinkerNY
How many are paid? Funny how they are reported and the Tea parties are all but ignored.
Should have been titled 1000 commmies demand the tax payers pay their bill.

No one in America -- except Senators and Congressmen--
will ever get Kennedy-care = the care Ted Kennedy got.
Proton beam for glioblastoma (inappropriate)
Tumor Board from the entire East Coast (unbelievable)
The rest get "No-Kennedy-Healthcare-for-You Bill"

Notice the Professionally Printed signs in the video below and remember it is Time Square in Manhattan. There would be a lot of people there anyway.

We had more people than that in a SUBURB of SACRAMENTO - a tad smaller than NYC I’d say - show up against the plan at congressional town halls - yet this makes news.
No agenda here - nothing to see - move along.

Our government is already socialist. If Obamacare passes, it’s time to secede.

It looked like 300-350 to me.
In one of the most central, easy-to-get-to spots in one of the most liberal cities in the nation.

They made a kiosk of their signs. There were a few individually made signs but most were printed, a sure sign of astroturf. They seed number of their own people and take credit for anyone else in the area.
Watch their Rallys. The will function just like that.

2,000 came out (More than 6-1 against it) in Towson Maryland (just North of Baltimore). 1,000 in NY is an embarrassment.

"I guess the morons in the Lame Slime Media do not realize that they will be censured too. No wonder why they became journalist. There too stupid to know what is good for them. They rather do what FEELS good." So called "journalism" students are taught by their Marxist instructors (building on all the socialism they were brainwashed with throughout their educational upbringing) that their duty is to use the power of their pen to "change the world", not to just report the news.
This is why our so called "free press" is so corrupted today.
Very few journalists graduating today break rank and go on to begin reporting and writing the truth. Plus it's very hard for them to even get a job unless they conform.

In a city of 18,000,000+ people, only a 1000 showed up.
I think teddycare is dead people
To: Steely Tom
The key words were “up to 1000” So it could have been anywhere from 10 to 1000 accoding to media accounts. But they are bankrupt anyway so the numbers are irrelevant.

I didn't bother to read the story, because I know there are more than 6 million people in that city alone, and if they had said that thousands of people poured into Times Square in support of of this bill; well that might make me pay attention.
But then again,........N Y is still a big Liberal bastion. So no; I don't care what anyone in N Y thinks, says or does, concerning this bill.
