Heads up Texas Freepers.
Today, between 1-4 p.m., MoveOn.org will be busing in union thugs to hold a "protest" regarding the passage of Obamacare. This event will take place on the South side of the state Capitol in Austin.
Anyone who can counter these "paid volunteers?" please show up at this meeting to demonstrate how Texans really feel about this government takeover of our health system. If you cannot attend, take a little time to contact a few friends who might be able to.
Can you please cite your source for this information?
We in Texas were told the same thing two weeks ago and about 500 of us managed to get to Austin the next day and the “thugs” as you put it never showed up.
As we were dispersing several hours later, four college co-eds showed up with handmade pro-Obama signs and the only media outlet on hand, PBS, proceeded to film and interview them. It seemed to me that the media was called when a true grassroots crowd suddenly showed up on the capitol steps with signs and bullhorns.
I never found out where the false information came from..I’m just asking where you got yours. Thanks.
Anyone who can counter these “paid volunteers?”
video them arriving.
video them being asked where they’re from, who’s paying them, etc.

Obama’s SS! Its here boys and girls. 1930’s Nazi Germany has emigrated to Lady Liberty’s feet. Cuidado!!!
Here is something I KNOW is going to happen next week in Austin. Come on, Texans, bump and keep this up:
Join us for a Stand Up For Texas Tea Party
on the south steps of the Texas Capitol in Austin!
On September 5th, patriots and lovers of freedom will gather at the Capitol building in Austin to encourage our elected officials to Stand Up For Texas! Well address the federal governments power grabs regarding Cap and Trade, Health Care, stimulus packages and bailouts, and ask our elected officials to sign a pledge to Stand Up for Texas with their votes, whether in the local councils, state legislatures or the US Congress.
All Texans who are concerned about runaway government spending and the trashing of our Constitution can join us to make a loud noise that will be heard in Washington! All elected officials at every level should be invited to hear our concerns and sign the pledge, so make sure to extend an invitation to YOUR elected officials!
Date: Saturday, September 5th, 2009 (Labor Day Weekend)
Time: 1:00 p.m. 4:00 p.m.
Place: South steps of the Texas State Capitol
1100 Congress Avenue
Austin, TX 78701
If you are joining the March on Washington D.C. on September 12th, be sure to join us in Austin to connect with others who will be going as well! Well send you off in style!
I ask again, please verify your info on the “paid volunteers” gathering at the capitol TODAY?
Lloyd Doggett will be holding a town hall meeting today in the same general area just west of the capitol building at the First Methodist Church 1202 Lavaca at 3 PM. Perhaps the Moveon folks also intend to be at Doggett’s town hall meeting.
I heard about Doggett’s meeting yesterday on the radio and found it on the web at the Burnt Orange Report (barf alert). This is one of the few times I’ve heard about a Doggett town hall meeting ahead of time.
Bump!
Hello, UNscared. I’m curious to know if the group you posted about showed up at the capitol today. Please respond if you know and I’m still hoping to hear how the information came to you.
Thanks
Inquiring minds want to know
I’m not supporting Unscared’s posting but here is an article from the American Statesman about Lloyd Doggett’s Health Care forum sponsored by MoveOn.

Austin health care reform rally draws 2,000
Sunday, August 30, 2009
U.S. Rep. Lloyd Doggett got a rousing reception from about 2,000 supporters of health care reform at a forum in downtown Austin on Saturday afternoon.
The event, sponsored by the liberal advocacy group MoveOn.org, drew enough people to pack the sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church near the Capitol as well as two other nearby spillover sites with people still left on the sidewalks.
Thank you, deport, for this news article. It seems the info about the supporters meeting on capitol steps was wrong. I want to stress how important it is that we give out good information so guess we will have to double check everything.
