Some of the country's biggest media subsidizers, including AT&T, P&G and Campbell's, have decided to stop advertising during Glenn Beck's program.
Beck, a pretender to the populist throne who has made a name for himself on YouTube through catchy remixes of his crying tirades, recently accused President Barack Obama of racism.
So Oakland-based ColorOfChange.org has arranged an advertiser boycott -- since viewer disinterest doesn't affect the bottom line of network or cable news directly. Which leaves Beck shrill and popular among his demographic, but likely losing money for News Corp. investors.
Never a good position to be in if your business is television.

And the author didn't realize color of change inflated their numbers by including companies that never advertised on Beck in the first place, and ones that have pulled from all opinion shows (that includes the libs)

Did any of the large advertisers pull their ads completely off FNC, or just move them to other FNC shows? If it’s the later then Fox’s bottom line isn’t affected at all.
I had never seen his program till Change of Life, or Change of Lightbulb, or what ever the hell the criminal operation is called, brought him to the top. We watched him several days this week.

As I understand it the advertisers haven’t left FOX, they’ve only moved to different time slots. Basically signaling FOX that Glenn’s detractors are too stupid to realize it.

I still see Geico, Progressive and other commercials on Fox News. I can’t say as they EVER were on Glenn’s show as I have a habit of tuning out commercials but I’ve paid attention this week to Fox in general. The majority of commercials here (north of Atlanta) on Glenn’s hour are local car dealers, the gold commercials and minor others.
Simple it points out the idiots at NBC for being the foolish lemmings that hey are!

I hope everyone will send an email to Glenn for the superb job he’s done this week.
I have to say watching him before eating dinner doesn’t do much for the appetite but the shows were well worth watching. I think he should have called the whole week “MAD AS HELL.” I never thought I’d see anyone (like the Network star) who wasn’t afraid to tell it like it is. I don’t want to hear what he’s telling us but we simply can’t afford not to listen and we have to take heed!!! We can’t say no one told us or warned us! It’s up to us to help him fight to stop the destruction of our country.
AT & T pulled their advertising from Beck? I have a contract with them (2 actually) and I’m going to call them first thing Monday morning and let them know as soon as the contracts expire, I’m dumping them. I’ve been with them for years - about 10.

Fox says they have lost no revenue. So they’ve lost nothing, but gained plenty of viewers (at least to Glenn’s show.) Someone will want those advertising spots considering the numbers he’s pulling.
