NEW YORK (CNN) The United Arab Emirates seized a ship carrying banned arms from North Korea to Iran, diplomats told CNN Friday.
The incident occurred in early August and was reported to the U.N. Security Councils North Korea Sanctions committee, Western diplomats at the United Nations said. The diplomats did not disclose which country owned the vessel.
It also was not immediately clear whether this was the first time such an incident had happened, or only the first time such a case had been revealed.
A U.N. resolution passed in July imposes an embargo on the shipment of arms from North Korea and broadens a ban on the import of weapons by the regime. The resolution followed a nuclear test and the firing of six short-range rockets by the country in late May.

As I've said before here: No ship or plane leaving North Korea or Iran should ever reach its destination. North Korean ship disappears at sea...Navy baffled...

Violation of UN Sanctions number 1,254,768 for Iran, and number 978,567 for North Korea - and what will happen to either of them? Hilary will be sending a strongly worded letter of protest. The UN will blame Israel, and George Bush.

Here’s an idea — since North Korea is under sanctions, sink all NK-flagged ships after they enter international waters. Or better yet, while they’re still in port.

The United Arab Emirates seized a ship carrying banned arms from North Korea to Iran, diplomats told CNN Friday. Don't we have any submarines armed with torpedoes in the area?

I wonder why Obama’s elite anti-terrorism units did not find the illegal shipment first?
Clinton must be ticked that his hostage for arms deal was busted by the Arabs.

According to the BBC:
The UK-based Financial Times reported earlier on Friday that the ship was seized “some weeks ago”.
It said the armaments included rocket-propelled grenades.
The arms had been falsely labelled as “machine parts,” the Financial Times reported, adding that the vessel was still being held in the UAE.

Sounds like a plan to me - just reroute them all to Texas - we will need them soon enough when forced to succeed from emperor obama’s evil empire

Well at least Texas will seal the bottom of the nation from being over run.
When O Day comes, we will get gun control, health care, control of talk radio, freezing off shore accounts, tax audits of political enemies, round up of "terrorists " ( conservatives) by homeland security. It will all happen so fast that no one will be able to stop it or even resist it.
Much of this will happen through executive order, with the Congress making the necessary laws after the fact.
If we do not stay calm enough, we won't have an election for the next 20 years, with martial law to chew on in the meanwhile.
And that's where this is all headed.
So when you say that Texas will secede, I take it without any grain of salt, That may be exactly what happens.

Even though I live in one of the most populace counties in the state, we can vacate within 25-30 minutes from the word go, and we have a nice place to go to...

BTW, I thought VT wasn’t all that bad...Wha happened??? ;-)

This is how you fix it.
Texas and maybe Louisiana secede and the marxists issue orders to bring them back.
The US Military instead rounds up the socialists and puts them on a plane to Cuba.
Provisional military government for 6 months, then new elections for all congressional seats and the WH, incumbents need not apply.
Only tax paying citizens and veterans are enfranchised in the new Republic.
All amendments other than the original bill of rights are repealed.
"Dueling" legalized within the Washington DC limits.
Problem solved

This whole "civilian" control of the military goes righ out the window when the "civilian" in control is a marxist crypto-muslim radical of dubious national origin.
The JCS and the military hold the real reins of power, the jokers at the White House and on capitol hill may get educated very shortly.

This does not surprise me at all.
When I was in the UAE a few years ago, I heard lots of concern on the street and in other converations about Iran getting aggressive. About IRAN, not the USA.
What many may not realize is that the UAE has invested billions into the tourism/business travel situation, plus they don’t want to get taken out in the midst of this fight.
This news makes lots of sense to me.
