Inhofe: U.S. headed toward revolution

Inhofe: U.S. headed toward revolution @ 1:01 pm by Eric Zimmermann

The overreaching of the federal government is pushing the U.S. towards a revolution, Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) said today.

"People are not buying these concepts that are completely foreign to America," Inhofe said at a townhall in Chickasaw, Okla. "We're almost reaching a revolution in this country."

Inhofe has been one of the Senate's most strident opponents of climate legislation and healthcare reform.

Inhofe added that he didn't need to read the full helathcare legislation before deciding to vote against it. Public opinion and news reports, he said, provided all the information he needed.

"I don't have to read it, or know what's in it," Inhofe said. "I'm going to oppose it anyways."

Most of the versions of healthcare legislation making their away through congress are about 1,000 pages long.

I agree on so many levels. First, this is very interesting: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G44NCvNDLfc

Second, the TEA parties were more anti-government than anti democrat. Then you have the ten year old quote from Claire Wolfe:

“America is at that awkward stage. It’s too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards.” — opening lines of 101 Things To Do ‘Til The Revolution by Claire Wolfe

Add to that what gerald Celente says about the future (search his name on Youtube) and his comment about when people lose everything and have nothing to lose, they lose it. When this happens to enough people (and it almost certainly will in the next 6-9 months) this thing will reach critical mass.

Then things really WILL get interesting.

I doubt if anyone here has read the full legislation either, but we have read enough of it to know that we are opposed to it. Besides, most if not all of us oppose a public option so ANY bill with such we would oppose without even having to read it.

The moral high ground is that government has neither the right nor the constitutional authority to seize control of the nation's health care, turning citizens into cattle in the Federal barn. It DOESN'T MATTER what's in the bill or what it costs.

Contrast with McStupid and Lieberdumb
Neither of them have any credentials - only know how to count votes.
So Back Off on Inofe. At least he’s willing to learn

I question what his definition of Revolution is?

Does he mean...
A)the overthrow of a government by those who are governed; or
B)a fundamental change in power or organizational structures that takes place in a relatively short period of time.

One would be US and one would be THEM.

If we are to prepare for a revolution, we must prepare ourselves for the executive orders that will follow:

The following Executive Orders associated with FEMA would suspend the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. These Executive Orders have been on record for nearly 30 years and could be enacted by the stroke of a Presidential pen:...

EXECUTIVE ORDER 10990

allows the government to take over all modes of transportation and control of highways and seaports.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 10995

allows the government to seize and control the communication media.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 10997

allows the government to take over all electrical power, gas, petroleum, fuels and minerals.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 10998

allows the government to seize all means of transportation, including personal cars, trucks or vehicles of any kind and total control over all highways, seaports, and waterways.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 10999

allows the government to take over all food resources and farms.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11000

allows the government to mobilize civilians into work brigades under government supervision.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11001

allows the government to take over all health, education and welfare functions.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11002

designates the Postmaster General to operate a national registration of all persons.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11003 allows the government to take over all airports and aircraft, including commercial aircraft.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11004 allows the Housing and Finance Authority to relocate communities, build new housing with public funds, designate areas to be abandoned, and establish new locations for populations.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11005

allows the government to take over railroads, inland waterways and public storage facilities.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11051

specifies the responsibility of the Office of Emergency Planning and gives authorization to put all Executive Orders into effect in times of increased international tensions and economic or financial crisis.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11310

grants authority to the Department of Justice to enforce the plans set out in Executive Orders, to institute industrial support, to establish judicial and legislative liaison, to control all aliens, to operate penal and correctional institutions, and to advise and assist the President.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11049

assigns emergency preparedness function to federal departments and agencies, consolidating 21 operative Executive Orders issued over a fifteen year period.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11921

allows the Federal Emergency Preparedness Agency to develop plans to establish control over the mechanisms of production and distribution, of energy sources, wages, salaries, credit and the flow of money in U.S. financial institution in any undefined national emergency. It also provides that when a state of emergency is declared by the President, Congress cannot review the action for six months. The Federal Emergency Management Agency has broad powers in every aspect of the nation. General Frank Salzedo, chief of FEMA’s Civil Security Division stated in a 1983 conference that he saw FEMA’s role as a “new frontier in the protection of individual and governmental leaders from assassination, and of civil and military installations from sabotage and/or attack, as well as prevention of dissident groups from gaining access to U.S. opinion, or a global audience in times of crisis.” It was consolidated to incorporate the following:

National Security Act of 1947

allows for the strategic relocation of industries, services, government and other essential economic activities, and to rationalize the requirements for manpower, resources and production facilities.

1950 Defense Production Act

gives the President sweeping powers over all aspects of the economy.

Act of August 29, 1916

authorizes the Secretary of the Army, in time of war, to take possession of any transportation system for transporting troops, material, or any other purpose related to the emergency.

International Emergency Economic Powers Act

enables the President to seize the property of a foreign country or national. These powers were transferred to FEMA in a sweeping consolidation in 1979.

In a time of deceit telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

What we are witnessing is a good, old fashioned coup d’etat by a group of dedicated communists who have planned this since the 1960’s, if not before.
We must realize, and understand that we are in the fight of our lives here. We are fighting for the very existence of America. For her very soul. We the people, are now fighting back. Not because we love peace less, but
because we love Freedom more.

In the end, we will either be victorious, and save America, restoring the rule of law, and the Constitution, or America will fall into the depths of communist hell.

America’s shining light of freedom, a light that has inspired the entire world for 233 years, will go dark forever.

It really is that simple.

Yep. Not many know about all the measures that have been put in place (and used on occasion) to override the Constitution and put the country under a state of virtual martial law. As you point out these things get done then forgotten but they don’t go away - they just go unnoticed.

I guess a lot of people are hoping that if it ever did come to armed rebellion that most law enforcement and military organizations would join in and support the rebels. And this could happen. But history also shows that tyrants never lack for henchmen. I am quite certain there will be many police and military types who would support the central government and would not shrink from mass arrests and the use of whatever force necessary to “restore order”. And they are almost certainly going to start out better organized than their opponents which will be a very big advantage. Plus they will be able to claim they are on the side of “law and order” and the bulk of the media will give them plenty of support.

Being able to declare yourself on the side of “law and order” is the main reason that we need to work through our state legislatures and state governments.

When the state level gov’t tells the fedgov to go pee up a rope, and the fedgov responds with force, then those acting in defense of the state have a legitimate political entity under which to operate.
