Will President Obama "seize power overnight" in a move to consolidate White House control of the U.S. government?
That's the fear of Fox News anchor Glenn Beck who discussed the issue at length today with another broadcasting powerhouse, radio's Rush Limbaugh.
"I fear this government, this administration has so much framework already prepared, that they will seize power overnight before anybody even gives it a second thought," Beck said.
His comment came as he was analyzing the changing nature of the media since Obama's election, citing the administration's close ties with the NBC network, owned by corporate giant General Electric:
If you watch what could only be called the administration's organ – anything involved with GE or NBC – you've got [GE CEO] Jeffrey Immelt on the board of the Federal Reserve, you have him in the Oval Office consulting not only on health care, but the financial situation, and they are an organ. If you watch MSNBC, I contend that you will see the future because they are laying the ground for a horrible event ... anything from the right, there's some awful event and I fear this government, this administration has so much framework already prepared, that they will seize power overnight before anybody even gives it a second thought.
Limbaugh responded, "I don't think they're going to be able to seize it overnight without anybody knowing about it."

When do the ratings for these news shows usually come out? I’m curious to see how much further through the roof Beck’s ratings have gone since he started this series this week. I’m so surprized at the sponsors who have pulled out. In our market, only the .coms, GM, and Ford have pretty much stayed with him.
IF they thought the elections would not even be held anymore they would get with the program.
I wonder about this too. Why are they so silent about what is going on? The news reports do read/sound like propaganda. I figure those who decide what gets on the air or what gets printed, are totally in bed with them, or fear for their lives.

I love Beck. He’s one of the few who really investigates his own stories instead of just passing around someone else’s news.
To laugh at what Glen has discovered and is exposing is foolish when we know these bastards are more than willing to slaughter alive humans to serve their political empowerment. Don’t be retarded! Healthcare is the ONLY instance that the democrats are questioning him about and that is because the people are rising up against it. Something with Obama is just not right and I felt this long before Beck expressed it. I believe wholeheartedly that this is a takeover of the US government by American enemies. Sorry to put you on the spot, but please explain to me as clearly and completely as your can, just how you think that Federal Elections can be suspended? Who do you think would enforce such a decision, if for purely conversational purposes, supposing it was possible to do so??
Oaths of Office are to the Constitution, not to an individual. Even the Military swears to obey the Orders of the President, not just the guy who happens to be President.

I agree. It does sound alarmist that Beck fears an Obama administration seize of power, but you cannot argue with the facts, and Beck sets forth fact after fact supporting his position.
He’s not overly emotional. He’s a realist, in a country where most people have their heads in the sand. He’s terrified, but with good reason.

Ive been thinking what beck is talking about for quite awhile. what scares me is that we are looking at it the same way.....
In that case grab your gun and hit the street. It’s that simple.
This is the big question. When Obama FedGov demands the seizure of firearms and the imprisonment of those who do not comply, will our local police forces just follow orders? Or will some (or many) side with the people against Obama FedGov?
Likewise the Army, National Guard, Air Force, etc. Will they turn guns or drop bombs on their own parents and grandparents?
Or will Obama have to rely on his ACORN Army to do the dirty work?

Beck substantiates everything he says with evidence - video clips of previous speeches and such - he isn't "losing it". He's simply displaying facts and putting together the pieces of the puzzle in a logical manner.
