The leader of the Pakistani Taliban, Baitullah Mehsud, is dead, two of his senior commanders have told the BBC.
It is the first time that the militant group has acknowledged his death.
The commanders, Hakimullah Mehsud and Waliur Rehman, said that he had died of injuries sustained in a US missile strike earlier this month.
Hakimullah has been named as successor to Baitullah Mehsud, who was Pakistan's most feared militant, accused of scores of suicide bombings and other attacks. Hakimullah Mehsud, who is believed to be in his late 20s, said Baitullah Mehsud had been critically wounded by the missile strike but died only on Sunday.
Waliur Rehman said that Hakimullah Meshud had his support as leader, and denied reports of differences between the two men.

Likely leadership: Hakimullah will run the Taliban N of N Waziristan and Punjab operations, Wali-ur Rehman will run the Taliban in S Waziristan. The N Waziristan Taliban will be split between Nazir, Gul Bahadur, and Bhitani.
Unlikely there will ever be another overall leader.
Hakimullah is 28, his code name is Zulfiqar, his real name is Jamshed and family calls him "Jammo". He comes from Khatki village, S Waziristan, Ashengai sub-clan of the Mehsud Pakhtuns. His twin brother is a Talib commander in Afghanistan. His first cousin is Qari Hussain.
Hakimullah schooled at a madrassa at Shaho village in Hangu. He has a strong hatred for Shias and is ideologically affiliated with Lashkari Jhangvi, and close to its leader Qari Zafar. He has led the Taliban in Khyber, Orakzai and Kurram. His first wife is from his native village, he recently married another girl from the Mamozai tribe, Orakzai.
Hakimullah started the beheading tactic and hates PakMil more than Nato forces. He is less jihadist and more criminal/smuggler driven. He likes the spotlight and drives a Humvee. He personally commands about 8,000 fighters and has a $120,000 bounty. He is very mobile, well connected with Punjabi LJ fighters all over Pakistan.
He will be trouble and with Siraj Haqqani at the top of our HVT's.
Baitullah is arabic for “fish food of God”
Gotta love a happy ending.
Heck, if Obama comes up with a health care system like that, I'm signing up.
He’s dead, Jim...
But you doesn't have to call him "Johnson."

LOL We should make the whole of Afghanistan & Pakistan’s NW frontier area (pashtunistan) one big theme park: a cross between Las Vegas, Disney World & the Red Light District of Amsterdam. Every village shall have a bar named Porky’s.... make every woman (under 50) wear a bikini.....vodka served with those kebabs........can you think of more. Oh pray 5 times a day to Michael Jackson? (fugettabout that one)
Isn't it wonderful that he had so long to suffer?
Well, at least he won’t have to worry about the CIA depriving him of sleep. He’s taking a long dirt nap!
Plus churches. After a couple hours of rampant sin, head to your nearest church or synegogue, confess, then go and sin some more. The priests/rabbis/pastors will make a fortune selling their memoirs.
Well....do we believe this report?

I’m willing to believe Baitullah is really dead this time. Haven’t seen too much about him still being alive, and his death has been confirmed by several sources and the Taliban’s got a new leader.
Re: the photo—has Hakimullah ever heard of a barber? LOL

Eric Holder will launch an immediate investigation to get to the bottom of this criminal act!
And Obama wants to know where to send the flowers.
