LOS ANGELES, Aug. 24 (AP) - (Kyodo) The Los Angeles County coroner has ruled Michael Jackson's death a homicide with a fatal combination of drugs given to the pop star hours before he died in late June, the Associated Press reported Monday.
Quoting a law enforcement official who spoke on condition of anonymity, the report said the powerful anesthetic propofol acted together with at least two sedatives to cause Jackson's death, adding that criminal charges will likely be filed against the doctor who was with him when he died.

Whoa bud! The King of Pop done in by... manslaughter, I guess.
OK the doctor did it with his little syringe. Surprise surprise! Now can we please stop talking about MJ?
WHO CARES???????
Motive?
Oh great.
How many more years of hearing about THIS crap and reliving this perverted has-beens life?
I guess I should avoid television completely for the next two weeks, huh? Except for things like the Mayberry RFD rerun channel.
Wow, could this lead to a “trial of the century”? I wonder if the doctor would face murder charges. Perhaps manslaughter or whatever the legal term is for doctors administering drugs improperly. I briefly heard a news report that Jackson had high levels of some anesthetic drugs in his system, and , that these drugs normally are never used outside a hospital setting when someone is having surgery. So this doctor will have lots of explaining to do, if he’s to avoid indictment or prison.
Since the Doctor was making x amount of dollars per month what was the motive to knock off his cash cow?
Perhaps, he kept Michael alive longer than others would have? Michael had enough money to srround himself with people who always said yes.
Yeah, I know. Can’t tarnish an icon’s image. Have to find someone to blame.
Clearly, Michael would never make a bad choice or assert his will over anyone or thing.
Perhaps the doctor had just concluded a life-cycle talk with MJ and postulated that he was becoming a drag on his family, so end-o-life was MJ’s conclusive decision. He was said to be ahead of his time, so he was already agreeing with ObamaCare’s forward thinking...?
You can only abuse your body for so long before it starts abusing you back.
Don't you just wish? With this finding we'll have wall-to-wall MJ on TV for the next 2 years at least. This is like manna from heaven to Nancy Grace and that cohort. Greta will be on it like a lawyer chasing an ambulance. Oh wait, she IS a lawyer.
I can’t imagine a murder charge sticking, it’s manslaughter at best. But the Jackson Family is pushing hard for it to be murder to try to protect MJ’s reputation, they are overreaching big time.
Perhaps a good place to start is with those who open a thread like this.
Stupidity?
Unlikely, the proper call here would be criminally negligent homicide, equating to manslaughter, 2d degree, at best. No malice aforethought, no heat of passion, no "depraved indifference to human life", just simple negligence, with a fatal outcome. There's no way that equates to murder...

Oh, God help us. Now MJ will be a martyr and we will be subjected to MJ tributes for the next frackin’ 5 years.
They have no idea if it is murder. They just want to have a big hollywood show trial to keep their names in the papers.
Racism is what did it. Black against black/s
If you’re gonna inject propofol ya gotta make sure you have
equipment to intubate the patient and breath for them in case they don’t breath. Adding it on top of lorazepam is asking for trouble.
He sure tried hard to be otherwise.
They only call it “manslaughter” because because “pervertedandrogynousfreakslaughter” is not in the statutes.
More black on black crime. Will it never end?
It’s a weird but somewhat fitting end to his strange, life - Michael Jackson, inadvertently euthenized by his own private doctor on his Neverland Ranch.
Michael Jackson was REQUIRING these illegally obtained drugs. This doctor just happened to be in the hot seat when he died. Yes, he was an unethical doctor but that was the only kind that Michael could enlist to feed his drug habit.
Oh my God... Michael Jackson is dead????????
it didn’t occur at Neverland...
If reports are true, based on the variety, types and amounts of drugs administered that night, this was no treatment for insomnia and an addict’s “tolerance” wouldn’t factor in....someone wanted MJ to sleep...permanently.
It was just a matter of time. This doctor just happened to be the unlucky fellow to lose the game of musical chairs that’s all.
It’s Michael Jackson....facts don’t matter. /s off
Man, they really kept a lid on that. You would think the media would have made a circus over an event like that.
And why weren't charges like these not leveled against Ted Kennedy in Mary Jo's death?
No way to convict of murder...it’s just ridiculous.
No law says propofol can’t be administered by an MD anywhere.
Best this rises to is poor medical judgment... a malpractice suit is as far as it can go.
I’m still waiting for Bubbles’ tell-all book. He promises to name names...
I’d like to see his medical college admission file.
I’m wondering if this guy is an aa hire.

Who's Michael Jackson?

Racism? Uh, could you really call Micheal Jackson BLACK at the end?
Generalissimo Franco is still dead! :)
“no “depraved indifference to human life””
I’m not too sure about that. Depraved indifference, it would seem to me, would be calling in MJ’s young son to do CPR on the BED and waiting something like an hour and a half to call an ambulance???
It’s a travesty. The doctor was administering a cocktail of benzodiazpines plus the anesthetic to help him sleep.
I have no idea how this guy expects his malpractice insurance to cover him, if he’s sued.
I heard that he was in debt to his eye balls, so they’re not going to get anything out of him.
The state board should revoke his license.
While "depraved indifference" is sometimes used, it's fuzzy enough that most prosecutors are disinclined to go that route, as its difficult to establish in the mind of a jury how it would apply in a given case, high-profile cases in particular...
