Cindy Sheehan is heading to Martha's Vineyard this week for a three day cruise, 'limited interviews' and a little protesting of vacationing Barack Obama for not losing the war on terror fast enough for her liking.
According to Cape Cod Today, Sheehan will be co-captaining three days of sailing around Martha's Vineyard aboard the 'SS Camp Casey' from August 27 to 29 with "peace movement leaders, international news 'anchors' and pro-peace members of the public." as an acting Department of Peace. On her blog, Sheehan says they will be working on 'the first draft of the International People's Declaration of Peace.'
Sheehan is quoted as saying, "I am calling in the Peace Movement to encircle our country with our united demand for an immediate return of all U.S. forces around the globe. Bring every one of our troops home NOW! We need them in our families and towns. This world needs a permanent vacation from war."
Sheehan has the publicity services of the leftist Institute for Public Accuracy. The D.C. outfit put out a press release informing the media Sheehan will be "available for a limited number of interviews".
Sheehan will hold a press conference Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. at the same location where the traveling White House press corps is located, Oak Bluffs Elementary School.
The prospects for a media lovefest akin to her debut protest against a vacationing President George W. Bush four years ago in Crawford, Texas are doubtful. ABC News anchor Charles Gibson told Sheehan last week, "enough already".
Three day cruises, managed press availibilities, and a week on the Vineyard. Who could say 'enough already' to that? JambaJuice smoothie, anyone?

You have to admit the woman is a hoot and holler.
It seems as if she is being coddled, rewarded even.
She gets a nice little vacation and no dirt will stick to Obama from her tepid criticism if him.
Sheehan is consistent in her opposition to the war She shows that the DUmmies, Kos Kids, Moveons and the Dems cynically used her son’s death and her opposition to work against the GOP. Normally showing Dem hypocrisy is a plus, but what is going to happen here is the haloed one will come out with a statement that Cindy should support the troops and that American soldiers do not need or deserve the lack of support as demonstrated by Sheehan. Obama will come out looking supportitive of the troops and mainstream as opposed to Sheehan’s nuttiness.The hypocrisy will not even be noticed, let alone mentioned.

No. She is setting the stage for him to become the “true Messiah” He can come out in a teachable moment play kissy face and show the world he isnt like the rest.

This all smells like a teachable moment coming up to me.
When Cindy first came into national attention, I figured, hey, cut her some slack, her son was killed, and she’s struggling to handle a horrible grief that I can’t even begin to imagine. I like to think if I were in her shoes, I’d handle things better, but still....?
However,the vampires on the Left found her while she was in an extremely vulnerable emotional state and they manipulated her for their own purposes, and then when they had no more use for her or her grief,they kicked her to the curb.
The thing is, now, Cindy doesn’t seem to realize the scumbags who used her have since moved on. The losers that Cindy’s running with now are very low-level, crunchy-granola wannabes who never realized the 60’s ended 40 years ago.
I dont think they are done with her.
