Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin set off a frenzied debate about health care reform when she accused President Obama of planning to establish "death panels" via health care reform. Now, proponents of the president's health care agenda are taking to Palin's preferred medium to attack her claims, with a Facebook ad asking Palin to "stop lying."
The labor-affiliated group Americans United For Change is running the Facebook ad directly targeted at the more than 800,000 listed "supporters" of Palin on Facebook, according to Greg Sargent of the Washington Post blog the Plum Line.
"Health insurance reform is too important for outright lies," the ad says. "Send Sarah Palin a message; tell her to stop lying about 'death panels.'"
The ad reportedly directs people to a page on the Americans United for Change Web site with a submission form to send a letter to Palin.
-snip-
It has yet to be seen whether rebutting Palin's false "death panel" claims on Facebook proves any more effective than doing so through traditional media. As the Washington Post points out, the persistence of the death panel rumor is "a stunning illustration of the traditional media's impotence."

Here’s the link for the See-BS article:
This group is funded by George Soros through MoveOn; SEIU, and the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees.
Needs work.
As the Washington Post points out, the persistence of the death panel rumor is "a stunning illustration of the traditional media's impotence" to any more call the truth a lie and a lie the truth.
That's much more accurate.
well maybe people should dump facebook
Ah, so its Barry approved?
Website sent a message to SARAH, so I DID..
GO SARAH GO... KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK,, THESE LYING LUNATIC LIBERALS ARE CRAPPING IN THEIR DIAPERS!!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK ..
OH.. and .. IT’s not LYING if it’s the TRUTH.
They must be getting negative fallout or something.
Head’s up! We got incoming!
This is to rich, targeting the 800K plus that are supporters.......what a waste of money.
“Trust me, kids. That kind of request can go very badly for you.”

Stephanie Condon, CBS Staff writer
Sarah Palin can be believed...what a relief to find someone close to government that will tell you the truth.
labor-affiliated group Americans United For Change
Can the labor affiliated groups stop using the term labor as they are more intent on looting than working as the word labor implies.
And, they’re all wee-weed up.
Terrific ad. Hope they run it a lot.
Little better than forcing the enemy to buy ads claiming it isn't creating "death panels".
Americans United for Change (AUC) is a 501(c)(4) organization founded in 2005 “to fend off President Bush’s top policy priority at the time: privatizing Social Security,” its website states.
“In 2006, Americans United For Change broadened its scope to build broad public and congressional support for action on a wide range of long-stalled policy issues.”
AUC is a “liberal, labor-funded group” previously known as Americans United to Protect Social Security, according to FactCheck.org.
AUC is a member of Health Care for America Now.
Brad Woodhouse former President of Americans United for Change, is now communications director for the Democratic National Committee under Barack Obama. He was once communications director for USAction and also helped run Americans Against Escalation in Iraq.
Former MoveOn lobbyist - Tom Matzzie and Brad Woodhouse
Brad Woodhouse may be the most prolific e-mailer in politics.
Since 2005, Hildebrand Tewes Consulting has worked on issue campaigns for Americans United for Change.
Much of the anti-war group’s leadership hails from a consulting firm called Hildebrand Tewes Consulting whose partners Steve Hildebrand and Paul Tewes served as staffers for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.
More proof that Palin has completely rattled the left with her comments.
How can one shut down a facebook account?
Hoping she has a new post soon. There is so much going on, Id love for her to wrap it up in a little red bow!
That’s right Barry, keep throwing everything and the kitchen sink. Show the world how desperate you are to escape your Waterloo! Poor little Emperor, your vaunted calvary has been routed by superior forces.
Not funny is the fact that our taxes are probably somehow paying for this useless exercise.
Very funny is the fact that AUC feels an urgent need to respond to Palin’s social media utterances!
According to the Left, Palin is an irrelevant quitter that’s dumb as a bag of rocks. So of course they have to engage her.

"All kidding aside, when this goes national, I get to put it on my resume?"
About 2:41 into this video, you will see who provided the Tucson, AZ pro-Obama health care with signs etc. (link)
Stay focused Freepers, the anti-Americans are on the march...they want your freedom - these people are called communists in word, thought, and deed.
{I guarantee you they’re going to try and get Facebook to shut Palin down}
Palin could easily remedy that by setting up her own blog.
Still, these moonbots are perfect examples of cyber bullying.
You know I did send a message to Sarah by way of their website, In full support of her words. I also asked who is Caren Benjamin and Tom McMahon
The owners of Facebook are big-time liberals. I can see the moonbats pressuring them to shut down’s Palin’s account.
the ad says. “Send Sarah Palin a message; tell her to stop lying about ‘death panels.’”
The next ad will say “Send Sarah Palin a message; death panels will be good for the worker and good for the nation. Tell Sarah Palin to stop saying derogatory things about our death panels.”
I just sent a message to Sarah through that stupid webform, congratulating her for telling it like it is and exposing the libs as the real liars.
That will probably go over very well with this bunch.
Isn’t McMahon one of those “Democratic strategists?” Who did he work for? Query, is it a violation of trust for an officeholder to have a man call a person telling the truth a “liar?”
Yeah, she should have set up her own website, but I can understand using Facebook for now since she had to deal with the transformation of power and other stuff in Alaska.
Maybe someone can start a conservative social network like facebook.
I hope your wrong about them closing her acct. that would truly be a colossal mistake.

AUC’s “chief mission ... for the next two years is to amplify the progressive message - to contribute to a grass roots groundswell for progressive policies. Progressives need to redefine ‘common sense’ - by reasserting the primacy of the traditional progressive values that resonate with most Americans” and “define for the American people what Progressives stand for - both our policies and programs and our fundamental values.”
Increasing the minimum wage
Allowing Medicare to directly negotiate lower prices for prescription drugs
Preventing privatization of Social Security and preserving it for the future
Improving access to affordable healthcare for all Americans

According to Eric Schmeltzer, spokesman for VoteVets.org, a political action committee which “has 20,000 members, including 1,000 veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan,” the PAC is “part of a coalition of left-leaning groups organized by Americans United for Change that includes labor unions and liberal groups such as MoveOn.org,” Lyndsey Layton and Jonathan Weisman reported February 8, 2007, in the Washington Post.

Brad Woodhouse, the head of Americans United for Change, is leaving that post to take over as communications and research director at the Democratic National Committee, according to high level Democratic source familiar with the move.
Woodhouse served a stint in the communications shop of the DNC during the 2008 presidential campaign of Barack Obama but returned to Americans United, a liberal outside interest group, after the election.
Woodhouse has close ties to White House press secretary Robert Gibbs with whom he worked in the office of Rep. Bobby Etheridge (N.C.) during the 1990s. He also worked hand and hand with White House deputy chief of staff Jim Messina during the 2005 fight against former President George W. Bush's plan to reform the Social Security system.
More Soros initiated and funded BS!

Isn’t it hilarious how two words are totally bringing down the left. I mean, its just her opinion, can’t fault someone for stating her opinion. The fact that they have to do this is well, HILARIOUS and shows how desperate they are. Maybe they have polls showing those two words will end up bringing down the bill. If that is the case, I am building a statue in Sarah’s honor. Sarah Palin, a few posts on facebook brings down the President..freakin AWESOME!!
You got that right. Sarah currently has 824,000 people following her on Facebook, and rapidly growing. Many (including myself), joined specifically to follow Palin and push her numbers.
If the moonbat owners of Facebooks should shut down her account, that would be one hell of a negative business plan that would cause a huge conservative boycott of the site. I for one would close my Facebook account if they close Sarah’s account. But hey, if that’s what they want, go for it. As others have said, Sarah can just start her own website.
The requested document does not exist on this server. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay
It could have been worse. They could have used her own words against her. “Could ya just stop making things up?” or however she said exactly. That would have really been snide.
parsy, who says, Oh, well, life goes on
This is just another desparate, and pathetic attempt on the part of the loony left, not unlike the really pathic ad produced by MoveOn.org in response to Palin’s cap and tax op/ed a few weeks ago. If two little words have caused so much consternation on the part of the left, it demonstrates that they are extremely weak, and a house of cards. Palin can and should, push over that house of cards. Keep hitting the left on a wide variety of policies, expose those policies for what they are, and who is behind them. Keep the loons off balance and on the defensive.
That’s the way to do it Fur Shur.
They just can’t take it. Sarah’s doing her own thing on her Facebook page and they just cannot stand that she has free speech. They can’t stand it.
Stalinists have always had a problem with other people’s free speech.

They put me in mind of when you drop a crumb on the floor and all these ants suddenly show up and swarm on it. You think,”Where did all these little b*st*rds suddenly come from?”. Which is what I ponder when I think of them in this country, having been born and raised here even.
