Pink Blankie Alert

Ooooooh, the CIA is so mean that we want to beat them with a flower, and beat them every hour. What did CIA do now?

They interrogated a suspect, brandishing a power-drill and a handgun, and fired a single shot in an adjoining room to get the suspect to believe another suspect had been executed.

Media is in a flap, CIA is in a flap, and surely it's just a matter of time before Congress is in a flap. Let the denials, different versions, excuses, recriminations, special prosecutors etc. begin.

So here we have a suspect refusing to talk, what should the CIA have done? Brought him his pink blankie, bunny slippers, and hot cocoa so he shouldn't feel threatened?

Does anyone in this sense-forsaken media and government remember a time, not much over half-a-century ago, when New York's Finest didn't just show a suspect a drill, but used it on him to perform "emergency dental surgery"? Do they remember the days when Boston's Finest would club you to within an inch of death if you didn't move fast enough to satisfy them? And this was the police, not a front-line agency in the war to defend America.

Had the CIA interrogators actually executed another suspect in front of this particular one to make him talk, there might be the glimmerings of a story. But not a particularly interesting one to people like the British Special Air Service. They neither read suspects their, nor do they arrest you, they simply shoot you down on sight, and there's none of this "suspect put his hand in his waistband as if reaching for a gun" rubbish either. We can't think of a single nation aside from the EuroWimps bar the French where if a terror suspect refuses to talk some very bad things will happen to him.

The American people are simply horribly confused about what is going on with this terror thing. It is a war, and it needs to be fought as a war. What's simply wrong about Guantanamo is the simple fact of its existence. These are enemy combatants. They are NOT entitled either to Geneva because they fight from within civilians or to constitutional protections given to ordinary criminal suspects. They should have been executed on the battlefield. It is depraved, inhumane, and degrading to America to treat them the way they have been. Americans love to call themselves "warriors". Anybody bring to mind that being a warrior means granting a clean death to your captured enemy?

And as for the AQ planner and financer types, what America has done wrong is failing to break them quickly with extreme brutality, and then shooting them if they don't break, or shooting them after they have talked. Anything else is pure sadism, and we are very sorry to say, Americans seem both to have a taste and a flair for this.

May we also ask: what has this country come to when it (a) develops a program to assassinate its enemies; and then (b) subcontracts the actual killing to a private security firm? What is the matter with this country? Everyone is now running around saying the program was never activated and so Congress was not lied to, as if anyone cares about the pompous, bloated, eaters-at-the-public-trough who represent us in Congress. That's not the outrage. The outrage is the hiring of Xe aka Blackwater to pull the triggers. A country whose government cannot pull the trigger is not just degenerate, it is as good as dead.

Did you know Xe is maintaining and arming the UAVs CIA uses from Shamsi, Pakistan and its new base at Jalalabad, Afghanistan? What next? Xe operatives flying the UAVs? US Marine Corps subcontracting Helmand operations to civilians? Why not hand over the ICBMs and the Tridents to civilians too, while we're at it? And why not hand over the government, Congress, and the Presidency to subcontractors?

And purely peripherally, what is this stupidity of Blackwater naming itself Xe? Are they a division of a Japanese video game box company?

Enemies of America: your victory is assured. Do a few ops now and then, sit back, and watch America use its weapons not to kill you, but to blame itself to death

Suppose this sums it up. However, one does wonder what else they do that we don't hear about.

Well if I worked for the CIA, I would be using my talents to create a new Id, move all my assets to an offshore account and resign. They are starting with a few targets right now, but you can bet, they have a list from their Dum infiltrators.

What’s sad is that the entire world is warning us, but nobody seems to care.

As I joked when the news broke about the SF run prisons at Bagram and Balad would send lists of prisoners to the UN/RedCross, if they’re doing this, what other prisons do they have in Diego or Djibouti.....

Granted the witch hunt Obama has begun is focusing on the CIA.....

According to our speaker of the house, the CIA just lies so what would be learned in any investigation?

Potential for a BIG backfire on this.

Americans, IMO, do NOT want to go after the guys on the frontlines.

Even though Many have forgotten how shaky the country was in the couple of years after the Attacks, rekindling those memories is not something we Americans want.

The nice thing is Obama is planting ice; he’ll reap the whirlwind, too.

Wonder what Panetta will do....resign, as an earlier thread suggests he’s threatened?

And as for Holder, Whaddya expect from an AG who called the entire country a nation of cowards?

It’s just another on his hit list for total destruction. Tear it to the ground so he can build it up HIS WAY.

The ‘MEN’ of the democratic party stride forth to battle.
There loins girded with silk as they swing their bags and scream as one - Lawyers destroy our own and the enemy will be gentle as a flower.

Islam is sort of like a hedge.

Every hundred years or so, the gentlemen of the West had to sally forth to trim back the worthy oriental gentlemen, lest they overrun the garden. Unfortunately, the West is running out of gentlemen who are willing to go out and do that, and the hedge is out of control.

At the same time, thanks to our oil money, the worthy oriental gentlemen are now able to equip themselves somewhat better than they were able to in the past, and again thanks to our oil money, they now have increased and multiplied to a very dangerous point.

We have to plan our very own Battle of Lepanto somewhere and deliver a smackdown that will last quite a few generations. I say, how about Iran?

Target: The Well of the 12th Imam. The Shiites are looking for an Armageddon and martyrdom. Let's provide them with that which they want. With mushrooms.

cr*p. The Turks and arabs and Berbers were all part of the West until the advent of Mohound. And, the Chinese, Hindus, Thais, Vietnames, Philipinnos, Ethiopians, etc have been fighting the hordes ofislam for as long as Europe has.

To turn the tide, convert Iran -- bring them back to Zoroastrianism. Iran influences the rest of Central Asia and it's influence is felt as far as Egypt (cultural influence -- and since I said culture, that can't have anything to do with ezzlam)

Tell them to keep up the good work! Missed them sorely at Tours, Vienna, Lepanto, Mohacs, etc. But given the poor cellphone service at that time and in their areas, I forgive them completely. I do hope they will, in turn, forgive my Eurocentrism.
