Question to Steele : What do you think about democrats trying to get something through on health care using reconciliation so they dont have to get the 60 votes. What do you think about that?
RNC Chairman Steeles Answer:
Do it. Have you looked at the numbers? Were down 20 in the Senate, 78 in the House. Dont come up in my face talking about Im an obstacle and we are blocking this process. You got the votes Mr. President, PASS THE BILL. Call (democrat chairman) congressman Ross who got the bill out of committee and get it to the floor. Up or down baby. Put it on the table. And you you dont think you have 60 votes in the Senate; you have the nuclear option, do 51 votes (reconciliation). Remember they wanted to do this in two weeks. They wanted to have this thing signed, sealed and delivered to the presidents desk by July 31. They could have done it, Why didnt they? Im waiting. You got the votes. So all this pushback on republicans, that Were the party of NO. Were creating the obstacles. Were not playing fair were not being bipartisan. You got the voters. In Washington its all about whose got the votes. You want it done. Pass the bill. But they know its poisonous and they know the American people wont tolerate it. And their scrambling now and turning on each other because they have a big political problem and they cant solve it

If you realize both parties in Washington think our money is theirs and you trust them to do the wrong thing, this list is for you.
If you think there is a Santa Claus who is going to get elected in Washington and cut a few taxes and spend a few trillion and jump start the economy, and get our lost money back, this list is not for you.

Friday I had two liberals tell me that 'republicans are the party of NO' and that the health care bill is held up because Obama is trying to be a nice guy to work with no good republicans (MSNBC says this nightly) . No, they dont even know it;s the congress that passes the bills, or doesnt pass it. Anyways, email this challenge to every democrat you know with . "You won two elections, stop blaming republicans, stop blaming Bush. You got the seats and you promised results. Let's vote."
Be damned...Steele sounds like a fellow who has a pair. It’s about time!
Paraphrasing some guy BHO doesn’t like to talk about anymore “the Democrats chickens are coming home...to roost”.
BRAVO MICHAEL!! About damn time he grow a sack. He is right, if the Dems want this crap bill so bad, no one is stopping them from signing it. They have the House, the Senate, and the White House. The ONLY reason they are not signing the bill is because they DON’T have the votes, so they are trying to bring Republicans in, it won’t work!
If they want to do something kill this bill. We the people know what’s in it and the POSs can always sneak amendments in if it is passed. No more government control over the people.
I sure wish Pelosi and some of the Congress people as well as the POTUS could be tried to treason and that goes for people like Soros too.
Now THAT’S what I’m talkin’ about!
Whining is so unbecoming Mr President, put up or shut up. Steele is getting better.
Pray for America and Our Troops
Where did he find his, in the laundry closet; or did he have to borrow a pair from Palin or even maybe from Savage?
Go Steele!
NICE!!!!!
About Friggen time!
Steele, way to go!
If he keeps this up, I will stop shredding those money request letters.
All very nice, but the POS traitor RINOs will ride in to save the day for these bastards.
John McCain, John McCain....Paging John McCain!
The Dems have been in charge since 2006. That should do it.
For some reason it always takes a loss of power for Republicans to rediscover conservatism. Next time around, we should elect Republicans whose conservative shelf life goes beyond a few weeks after taking the oath.
I’m willing to give them a chance. We can’t take much more of this liberal crapola. Why is it, the DEMS can do this much damage to our country and get a pass to re-election, but, if a Republican messes up, then he/she is toast? What lesson does it serve the Republicans to put the DEMS in power?
Sorry, I just don’t get the double standard, even from our side.
Not just the president and congress but the voters. There is a middle set of voters that move back and forth depending who is in power. They want gov spending, low taxes and low deficits,
The Iraq invasion, reconstruction, no WMDs and long delay before the surge, waiting till a major election loss, really split conservatives and got everyone else mad, Bush responded with the same Karl Rove method used to win 2004, spend more, and more(congress was already big spending by start of Bush 2000) . Then the economic meltdown and Bush/Paulson reaction. That left voters in a bind. What were republicans good for?
Now the democrats give many unhappy with republicans reason to rally against them. I wouldnt take that as them being for smaller government just yet. Maybe if the economy crashes again under Obama debt that may happen. And it wont last a decade.
Michael, I love the tone you take here...the brook-no-nonsense, you OWN it, bang the table and make the microphones jump.
You're doming into your own.
You could really make me happy if you'd go slap Collins and Snowe around a little.
Please don’t forget to include his leg-humping poodle named “Lindsey”...
