You forgot to mention an article about the fact that Petrobas, the Brazilian oil company was awarded the second highest value of leases in the Gulf of Mexico, that were released for drilling on Aug. 19 and the company is also buying the old ARCO refinery in Pasadena TX. So, what really happened is Obama gave the Brazilian company our tax dollars to buy our leases and purchase a refinery to go with the leases. I know he said the money was for drilling off of Brazil, but that sounds like pure BS.
I heard Leland was going to be gone most of this month, so I’ve not listened much to his show. I hope there is a large turnout in DC.

We generally left the “offer and acceptance” process to our HR folks and they are pretty stringent to their rules. As a result, in our case that would not have been a good idea. So, I would say that you should just ask for an extension to your response due date. If they ask why, just tell them that you want to make sure that when you do commit to them, that you want to be fully committed to them.
I would say that the bigger the company, the more difficult it will be to delay or vary from their normal procedures. If it is a smaller company, then you may be able to have a meaningful dialogue regarding this issue.

...Doing good. She did the first round of chemo and came home. In three days, she was dehydrated and couldn’t eat. Back in the hospital for four days. Two units of blood and saline she bounced back. The tumor is almost gone. Eating well, back to work. Went from 80 to 100 lbs. Hopefully this second round will not be as bad. Keep her in yer thoughts...
