Lockerbie Victim's Mom Calls Obama Response 'Soft' Susan Cohen 'Furious & Sick' Over Bomber's Release In Scotland CBS News Interactive: Pan Am Flight 103
The mother of a young woman killed in the Pan Am 103 bombing over Lockerbie, Scotland in 1988 was blunt in her anger over seeing the mastermind of the attack return home to cheering crowds.
"I was furious and I was sick," Susan Cohen, whose daughter Theodora, then 20, died on the flight.
Cohen reserved some of her anger toward the Obama administration as well. Thursday, President Obama called the release of Libyan Abdel Baset al-Megrahi after serving eight years of a minimum 27-year sentence in Scottish prison, a "mistake."
Cohen called Mr. Obama's remark "soft," during an interview with CBS' "The Early Show" Friday, adding that she has pushed the president to do more. There is "no one even in prison for the crime," she said.

“Soft” is what you get from one whom when asked about abortion, postulated that it was “above his paygrade” to give a complete and adequate response.
Soft HELL, UnAmerican! Nice Obama! No Balls at all.
They know they can do this sort of thing with Obama in the White House, because he covertly approves of it and sides with the terrorists. In fact, who knows, maybe they informed him through back channels before they released him.
There is no question in my mind that he was consulted before the release and gave the go ahead on behalf of the US
The UK has rendered and submitted to Islam. Is anyone surprised?
That aircraft should have been removed fromt he sky and no gov’t should have mentioned it...........simply a dead fly.
Disgrace to say the least.
I saw someone talking about this yesterday on (I think) Greta’s show. He implied that this was an exchange that was made to get more oil flowing to Great Britain from Libya and that the US probably gave them a wink and a nod.
Absolutely disgusting if true.
Another critic of Zero.
How long before the administration starts calling this mom names?
Sometimes a “stern statement” just isn’t enough.
WEAK!
I don’t think he was cowardly in his lack of response as much as he is “consistent”.
He sides with and approves of the Islamist Jihadis.
Prepare for “Joe the Plumber ,Sarah Palin treatment” from the media/Administration hive, Ms. Cohen.
OH but don’t say that. And don’t let Glenn Beck say that he is a racist. The truth really irritates the liberals. “Telling the truth to a liberal is like teaching pigs to sing. First of all it can’t be done and second it irritates the pigs.” I love the irritation part. LOL
The Truth offends.
“for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice”
While I agree with everyone about Barry’s weak comment, it’s encouraging to see the lame stream media start chipping away at his credibility. Honey moon is over, eh? Like I’ve said before, “just keep talking Barry. The more you talk the harder it is for the media to ignore your foot stuck in your mouth.”
I don't know how much say the central government in London had in this situation.I think that it might be the *Scots* who submitted here. The Scots have,in recent years, proven themselves to be particularly weak, cowardly and limp-wristed in numerous ways. Why else do you think that Mr Sphincter of Pennsylvania cited Scottish law when voting to save the Perjurer-In-Chief's bacon a few years back?
If Obama were a man, a leader, and a patriot, he would send a CIA team to find this guy and “compassionately” dispatch him with a .50 cal round from long range. Osama bin Laden has not killed a single American with his own hands and we’re gunning for him (rightfully so, as he leads Al Queda), but a guy who actually put a bomb on a plane and killed 100+ Americans is off limits? WTF people?!?!?!

I agree with her, even if I have little time for the Cohens.
For that matter, neither do any of the others US families nor the British end (Lockerbie/British victim families).
May GOD bless you my friend. You are rare in deed. We fight the good fight. I am old and ready. I have no regrets.
That could be true...but is that justified? Although I'm not certain of this (I don't know enough about British government policies/practices) I think the *Scots* had enough authority, without involvement from London,to release this psychopath. The same would hold true of Schwartzenagger pardoning Charles Manson.Assuming he has the authority to do it under California law I don't think there's much that the POTUS,the US Senate, the US House or the Federal courts could do to stop it.
WWJCD? (What would Jimmy Carter Do?)
Yes, and Greta mentioned some legal maneuvers the U.S. might have made to prevent it. I absolutely agree that this was done with a wink and a nod from Obama, but they still want to be able to come out and protest that they did everything they could to prevent it.
