Honor killers rarely care. Their burning hate and lust for blood is greater than their fear of reprisals.
It’ll never happen. A father that killed his 2 daughters, here in America, is still free and on the run. Muslims will protect him and the government will look the other way.
It would be quite easy for them to simple take her back to Sri Lanka and kill her there.

You are so right, in fact I did not read it at all. (Having read half a dozen others about her today.) Emancipation is out. Therefore the old standby should apply: protective services dragging their heels until she’s 18 and they can cut her loose. A few months in foster care and it’s all over.
Instead, it says she will likely be returned to her parents’ home.
It’s absurd to send her back to a place where she says she’s been threatened with killing.
Protective services in the spotlight are very unlikely to go out on a limb and risk placing her in mortal peril.
It just goes to show that when you're running for your life, trust no one. You don't have to lie, but you don't have to tell anyone your life story, either. Sad story.

There’s an idea. Marry someone, and you’re an adult...even in Ohio. I think.
That should be the situation. I know that here in Oklahoma, the courts will emancipate 16 and 17 year olds who are in bad home situations. There is even a charity that provides assistance to emancipated kids who want to stay in school.
Yeah, surrre they will. They’ll claim she ran away again and her body will be found. Gosh, who could have done that????

That's not worth anything. Its an honor killing... honor, get it. The father will gladly turn himself in and be crowned a hero by the muslim community.

Here again we are equating God and allah — they are NOT the same. As long as America does not understand this fact it is ripe for the plucking by Islam.
