Video: Dem wants to eliminate private health insurance altogether

Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) returned to the ObamaCare battle on MS-NBC’s Morning Joe today, preaching the public-plan gospel just as he did yesterday on CNBC.

However, this time, Joe Scarborough goaded Weiner into a little more honesty than he’s offered on the effort to “reform” health care.

Declaring that “health care is not a commodity,” Weiner says his aim is to eliminate all private insurance — which is why he will not yield on the public-plan option:

Because the government runs things so well, and because we really want all health care decisions being made on the basis of political considerations.

I wish I was a Communist like Weiner
That is what I truly wish to be
For if I was a Communist like Weiner
Then everyone could pay healthcare for me

What a shock, Obama and the left want to destroy all private health insurance. Didn’t he already say that a few years ago on video. We all know what the Marxists want, to take away health care from US and give it to the illegal aliens so that they will vote Democrat in 2012. That simple

How about outlawing ALL health insurance and reforming tort law? Everyone pays out of pocket. There are not enough rich people to allow doctors to continue to charge high prices for their services. Prices drop to reasonable levels and tort law reform eliminates the need for ridiculously expensive malpractice insurance.

Just an idea.

I think Anthony is just giddy that he will soon be able to turn to his wife and say “Huma Weiner” Hopefully they won’t name their first born son “Wherzma” “Squizma” of “Ulikama”

So he wants to eliminate private insurance. Why? The 2 centerpieces of Democrat “accomplishment”, social security and medicare, 2 government insurance programs are broke, can’t meet funding without ever increasing budget demands and taxes and combined are about $53 trillion in unfunded liabilities, but there is something wrong with private insurers in this little marxists mind? How do we continue to afford it you fucking moron? HOW?

All they have to do is pass a law that forbids insurance payments directly to the doctor/hospital...

That would bring the costs down almost immediately.

If my last name was Weiner, I'd change it.

This guy is just getting even for 20-odd years of bullying.

Bingo!

I too believe that is the only real solution. But good luck with that.

Even people who consider themselves fiscal conservatives are usually wedded to the notion of escaping responsibility for their usual customary health expenses.

It’s the Marxist mentality. He wants FULL control of every aspect of a person’s life, that simple. It’s been Obama’s plan since day 1, for FULL Government control. Even that idiot Gibbs is saying how that Obama supports a public option, otherwise known as a single payer option..DUH, he wants this to turn us into Europe

The good thing about this debate, is that it is highlighting the problems associated with Medicare (and Medicaid to an extent).

Once Obamacare is defeated, conservatives need to draw a blueprint on phasing out Medicare and Medicaid completely. I'd be happy with giving existing seniors some type of annual healthcare allowance, on a prepaid debit card, through a private insurance policy that the senior can sign up for that is tailored to his/her needs. Everybody else: Kill the payroll tax and let people buy their own insurance.

For now though, we need to drive a stake in Obamacare and hopefully this thug marxist Weiner should get the boot in 2010.

After college, he went to work for then-Congressman Charles Schumer, and, after more than six years working for Chuck in Washington and at home in Brooklyn, Anthony launched a long shot bid for the City Council.

[He’s never had a non-political job]

He has also fought to uphold New York values. The National Reproductive Rights Action League (NARAL) praised him for his vigilant efforts on behalf of a woman’s right to choose. He has won perfect scores from our nation’s largest environmental groups. And Congressman Weiner was given the “honor” of a grade of “F” from the National Rifle Association.

Someone correct me here if I’m wrong. One of the problems with Medicare for seniors is that once they turn 65, they have to sign up for Medicare. If they don’t, they won’t get their Social Security payments. True or not?

I’ve heard it said that any doctor who is not making $1,000,000 per year is just lazy. Remember the old days of house calls? Why did doctors do that? Answer: To make a living. This was a service that they offered in order to compete for income because, before endemic health insurance, they made a good living but were not rich.

Government has already taken control of health care for seniors. We are retired and have insurance through our employeer. When we turn 65 we are forced to enter the Medicare program. Payment will be automatically taken out of our Social Security. We have absolutely no choice.

My mom has problems finding a doctor who will see her because she is on medicare. So that will be our future.

If given a choice, we would prefer to continue to pay for private insurance and keep our current insurance coverage.

In this video, when seniors say don’t touch my medicare, it’s not because they love medicare.......it’s because it’s the only option available to them.

Marxists don’t consider health care a commodity and they don’t consider doctors, nurses or anyone else to be free and sovereign citizens. If health care is a right then health care workers are slaves who must serve that right for the sick and injured. Weiner’s view is collectivist, fascist and totalitarian.
