Yeah, you noticed too, huh?
She's once divorced, which isn't a good sign, but who knows? Maybe he should go down there and live with her a while. The Kirchners are doing what they can to turn Argentina into a Chavista hellhole, but, hey, the chimmichuri sauce is good.
“I know plenty of women who have gotten to mid-life only to become casual lesbians.”
I’m not going to cast any aspersions on Jenny Sanford, nor would I suggest that this happened to her.
However, I also know a few women who have done as you say. I refer to the ones I know as “the He-Women’s Man-Hater Club.”
Funny how the reverse rarely happens. You never see a bunch of bitter men banding together and going queer while being bitter about their ex-wives.
Kind of off subject - but to show the hypocracy with the press regarding Stanford and press he received - including his misuse of state money.
Ben Cardin/Sen. Maryland, his nephew - Jon Cardin/Delegate - Maryland used state police boat and helicoptor to propose to his girlfriend.

IMHO any person in public office who pulls a stunt like he did should get bounced out of his job on his ears.
If he is not going to take the most sacred vow he ever spoke seriously, why should we think he won’t turn around and screw the voters next time?
Fer cryin out loud, if the guy was a boy scout troop leader, he’d lose his job for what he did...
*She sounds a little sexist to me*
Your comment a litte misogynous.
Sandy’s wife gave birth to four sons.
She also ran his campaign and was the brains behind him.
Sandy is a twit from rich parents and never grew up.

That’s really uncalled for.

You know, if you make a strange and disjointed comment like that in the forum instead of by e-mailing directly to me, you do run the risk of getting your response in the forum (which can be embarrassing).
First, the governor’s wife sounded sexist because she mentions MEN as a subgroup several times. She lumps all men into a category that has problems dealing with mid-life crises, affairs, politics and personal issues not once, not twice but several times. That kind of discrimination is down right sexist.
Had she said, “When PEOPLE come to mid-life, they start to look back...etc. etc.” but she didn’t. She was specific about men...over and over...that IS sexism in any fair minded person’s book.
Your calling ME ‘a litte misogynous’ (I think you mean ‘a little’), for merely pointing this out is completely without grounds. To add insult to injury, you then go on to make loosely tangental comments about the governor’s wife without so much as substantiating your accusation.
Get your act together. There are grounds to say that this woman’s wholesale categorization of men as somehow flawed as a gender smacks of sexism. There are no grounds for calling any one who points this out misogynistic. The time for those kind of unfounded claims has past. Prove your claim in an intelligent manner or stow it.
First Sandy’s wife is the problem, then comments in response to yours on this thread is the problem.
Sandy is a good little boy, so we will just let him alone
and not speak ill will of him.
His wife and four sons can just suck it up, think good thoughts and it will all go away.
Ding ding ding ding ding! We have a winner!
To quote Benjamin Franklin, "The man who loves himself shall have no rivals for his affections."
Whoa! Nothing disjointed whatsoever -- and why should you feel your opinion should be protected from all other points of view? You've "run the risk of getting your response in the forum."

Sounds like you've been drinking the feminist kool-aid. In case you hadn't noticed, men and women are different! Conservatives expect men to honor and protect their women and children, not humiliate them publicly. If Jenny Sanford, who is in a postion to see plenty of powerful men who fool around on their wives, wants to make a generalization about it, you can survive!
...To add insult to injury, you then go on to ...
Oh, please! No one has made any insult and certainly no injury here! It was just a different point of view. You'll get through this....
Oh boy. It's pretty simple really. The fever subsides and the mate evolves into someone you never imagined yourself hitched to. A lot can happen to people in ten years...or even less.
Doesn't make it right, of course, but it's certainly no surprise in most cases.
OTOH it sure surprised me when a friend of mine, the most devout Catholic you ever saw (in the married state), turned out to be the sort who'd cheat on his wife at the slightest opportunity. Never liked her, she's neurotic, depressive, hypersensitive and an all-around witch to other women, but she adores her man and gave him 9 children; now that she's obese and menopausal, he's a tomcat. Maybe was before, who knows. I don't think he's missed a weekly mass in his whole life, yet he finds a way to hold his head up in this world. People not only cheat, they sanitize and justify the sin. After that example of my ultra-religious friend, very little shocks me anymore. :(
Your post makes some sense. You’re probably right. I’ve been engaged a couple times, but not yet married. I suppose I shouldn’t throw stones. Walk a mile in their shoes and all of that. It’s just that Sanford left a bad taste in my mouth and I felt bad for his wife.
As a friend once told me after I found out that he was “poking” the church secretary, both who were married: “Ain’t no place in the bible where it says you’re not supposed to get a little”. Made sense to me...I awarded him honorary “wings.
Thank you. Damn. White men take it on the chin from all corners. But dare and call someone else out for their bad behavior or discriminatory remarks and whoa! You’d think the wrath of God had come down.
I believe it also refers to a part of the male anatomy.
