from conflicting information on the net, it seems that it depends on how they are counted.

For example, if you count the kitchen staff and cleaning staff, then it can add up pretty quickly.

If you only count the ladies in waiting, then I think that Laura Bush only had a few...... but then again, I think that mich. obamanation is very high maintenance... and also some of hers might be ladies in waiting to her daughters and her mother.

Who knows.... I would bet that she will accumulate as many as she wants no matter what anyone says or thinks. After all in her opinion America “is a mean country”.

That honorable man drove himself home to MO after his tour at the WhiteHouse and, until 1960 or so, his only pension was $13000 from the Army. Then Congress gave him a $25000 pension. His only asset when he died was the family home, inherited from his wife’s parents, where they lived the entire time they weren’t in DC... He refused to make money off his service as President, unlike some of those who followed him (LBJ, Billy Jeff come IMMEDIATELY to mind, Eisenhower I don’t think did, I KNOW Nixon didn’t but I’m not sure how you’d classify Jimmy Earl... Reagan I think just retired to his ranch, then his final illness set in and he wasn’t capable. The Bushes, too soon to tell for W, but I think Bush I made a little off his one term.
