Representative Eric Massa (D- NY) addressed an intimate group of Net Roots activists during their annual Net Roots Nation gathering in Pittsburgh this weekend. Mr. Massa reiterated his support for a single payer health care bill. He discussed the risks he takes for wanting to support such a measure in his "right wing Republican district."
According to Swing State Project, Mr. Massa won his 2008 race by two percentage points. The voting pattern index (PVI) is a Republican +5 seat. The National Republican Congressional Committee has the upstate New York congressman in their sights for 2010 along with 69 other House Democrats as reported by Politico. His people want us all to say, "Yes, Massa!"

A PETITION ON FACEBOOK FOR CONSTITUTIONAL RESTORATION
...and, hehehe, that is also why so many "fishy" posters, conversations, and emails are showing up all over the nation.

This guy is my rep, and I am completely disgusted. I’ve written letter after letter, and went to his town hall metting and he still does not listen. He is far worse than the RINO who voted for TARP that he replaced.
Do it Massa!! Do it and say goodbye Mo!
He sounds like a real piece of work.
“This guy is my rep, and I am completely disgusted. Ive written letter after letter, and went to his town hall metting and he still does not listen. He is far worse than the RINO who voted for TARP that he replaced.”
Sounds like he’s the one saying “Yes, Massa”

"You right-wingers are going to vote for me, whether you like it or not"!
What bothers me most about this is the sureness he has about voting against the constituents.
I’ve wondered for a while what Pelosi has promised and how she is going to deliver the votes next year.
It can’t be anything but fraud.
Just wow! I hope somebody sends this to his district's local GOP.
He does not care........because he knows the party will generate the votes dead or alive he has the votes.
What’s with all the zombies? They’ll do their evil master’s work and the heck with the voters. He needs to be shown the door.
And to make matters worse, the other end of the district (Chautauqua County) was cut out and combined with liberal Buffalo. Guess whose voters win that race?
He has totally lost sight of what "representative" means.
“Ive wondered for a while what Pelosi has promised and how she is going to deliver the votes next year.
It cant be anything but fraud.”
Absolutely. This is, as he says in this video, the most conservative district in at least the state (he says contry, but I think he exaggerates). Our RINO got the boot for not listening and I can’t imagine this guy doing the same thing and not sharing the same fate.
He’s the congressman from my district, but obviuosly not my representative. he’s a typical libhole.
What Pelosi has planned? You think all that “unspent” stimulus money will suddenly appear in all Dem districts at risk in 2010? I do.
Sweet makes them easy to target and identify for future elections.
Man the democrats are dumb.
They still think obama is playing chess ! ROFL
I’m in Rochesters’s southernmost suburb (NE Ontario County) It is NOT liberal. This ahole won by 1.6%, mainly by riding Obie’s coattails....
With garbage like this nitwit he will probably win because of the RAT political machine will find enough dead as voters or homeless to buy. Whoops forgot ACORN and unions, how can he miss?
dumASSa
Maybe the RNC sees even easier pickings elsewhere, but Massa and Higgins (NY-27) have been total lap-dogs for Obama on stimulus, cap n trade, etc... and their constituents here in Upstate NY are NOT happy. These two will LOSE in 2010 to any serious candidate.
Congressional clunkers are very shallow of mind, weak of reasoning, and mostly talking point spotting know nothings.
They live and die for their position in the WDC walled city politburo. It means everything to them.
That looks like the cast from “Goodfellas”.
At least that way he’d have some shabby excuse. They way it looks, he’ll go out and vote against his constituents and be proud of it.
I’ll be glad to see Massa go. Where do I make a contribution?
“I will vote against the interests of my district”
Steve Massa 2008 - 2010
His political epitaph.
I will ADAMENTLY vote against the interests of my district
My ex-wife’s Italian Grandfather would have said,
“I’ma tella you! He’sa dumassahole!”
Why Don’t we start a campaign to send nothing but pink slips to Washington with these words on each slip:
VOTE YES against our interests and
YOU’RE FIRED in 2010!
Now you see how the democrats got elected. Make yourself look moderate then vote liberal. This is what confused me about the stimulus and cap and trade bill. The democrats ran more moderate candidates, some with conservative positions, so that the choice was easier for voters. I assumed that they actually were moderate. Nope.
So any politician that thinks they can have a crooked life any morem, or say something that won't get back to the people is crazy. The only down side of this video is that no rational republican seems to have the skill to use it to beat this guy or like minded people in Congress.
Brain Surgeon. B.S.
Congresscritters who publicly go against the wishes of their constituents, with no apology ... how very strange.
Perhaps Tea Party organizers should visit their local voter registration authority, to do a little asking around. And do it soon.
Something tells me we might have already lost the 2010 election!
I ask because it sounds completely at odds with what Obama plans for medicare -- virtually gutting it.
“Do you have any idea what he means by “a medicare coupled public option?”
I don’t know for sure. I haven’t finished reading HR3200, I’ve read completely the one proposed by Ms. Eshoo, HR1321 Healthy Americans Act that deals with private insurance carriers and doesn’t include a public option.
My guess is that it means one of two things:
First, it could mean that he’s trying to tie the public option with medicare so he doesn’t have to drop the the public option. In other words, Medicare would become the public option.
Second, it could be that he’s saying that as double-speak in attempt to assuage the public fear that Medicare is going to be repealed and the elderly will have to face the “death panels” instead of being treated.
To me, they sort of mean the same thing.
That would be an even worse disaster. Obama sent a bill to the House last month authorizing the formation of the Independent Medicare Advisory Council, or IMAC. The group of five non-elected members would have total control over Medicare spending, and a freeze in any increase in spending would begin in 2014.
You can read about it here -- as David Broder of the Washington Post says in the piece, "...Congress will have to decide if it is willing to yield that degree of control to five unelected IMAC commissioners. And Americans will have to decide if they are comfortable having those commissioners determine how they will be treated when they are ill."
That is a garbage bill... This is the really scary part:
“...IMAC would annually recommend a set of broader reforms to improve the quality or reduce the cost of medical care. On each report, the president would have 30 days to approve or reject the recommendations, but he would have to act on the whole package, not pick it apart.
If he approved, the package would go to Congress and could be overruled only by joint action of the Senate and House within 30 days. Absent that, the secretary of health and human services would order the changes into effect. “
I have no reason to believe that this wouldn’t be a part of health care “reform” regardless of what they try to do with it. Whether they fold Medicare into a public option, or repeal it and dump everyone onto standardized insurance plans with private providers.
It all comes down to the government deciding what we do and don’t get... and more importantly when it’s time to just someone go.
I didn’t like what Rep. Kuhl did, but I held my nose and voted for him anyway because these libjerks scare the crap out of me.

He looks like Flounder from “Animal House”.
Ohhh Boy....
Look beside as*hole in the dictionary and his picture will be there. I want to see every single member of the House and Senate tarred and feathered and removed from office forever! We need to start over.
Rent me a cot in your garage and I will run against this idiot.
If the residents re-elect this moron they deserve to be euthanized when they reach old age.
Keep the pressure on this clown.
you really think we’ll win 69 seats in 2010?
