"Are we really still debating health care when a man brings a handgun to a church where the President is speaking?" -Communist Katie Couric

I would ask Couric are we really still debating abortion in this day and age when all stigma of out-of-wedlock pregnancy is gone and the sole reason for an elective abortion any more is for convenience?
If P.T. Barnum were alive today, he'd make a trillion dollars.
What is disruptive to any health care bill discussions however, is Obama and other Democrat senators busing in loads of SEIU union thugs to stick megaphones in peoples ears and chat stupid slogans over and over, and beat up people who are there to question these senators about the stupid things in this bill.
Seems you, Katie Kookric, don't have a problem with this government trampling on people constitutional rights by hiring thugs to prevent them from doing so.
She used to be on the TODAY show NBC until Dan Rather lost his job ;^) Now she’s the anchor for Cbs.
After we’re done with ObamaCare (God willing) we need to move on to protesting the lamestream media.
Katy is full of it
What the hell is she doing reading the news to us?

Yup, Katie, because the non-event of an unfired, holstered gun simply is not equivalent to the groundswell of millions of citizens voicing their objections to the socialization of America. Not even in this day and age of the Left’s propaganda machine.
I don’t recall the media worrying so much about other, left wing protesters. Most of them were bussed in and paid to participate in the “cause of the week”.
Why the dire concern about where “normal people” come from or why we are so pissed off?
What did Katie say when someone hurled a dud hand grenade toward Bush while he was speaking overseas?
Oh well.
More than just protesting, Lobbying and demanding that judicial inquiries be held into MSM's conspiracy to install a Marxist regime, to destroy the nations constitutional republic, trample on the citizens right to choose and elect a representative government based on unbiased, complete and accurate news, using the power of media to sway the outcome of elections. There are traitors to imprison, and laws rewritten to prevent such a thing from ever happening again.
BTTT!
When is Obama going to be asked if he should abandon his "radical" agenda for a more mainstream, centrist position - as was asked of Bush at virtually every press conference of his presidency?
who cares about what katie couric has to say? Americans are more interested in Palin’s facebook page
Know thy enemy etc....
It's an interesting thing, what has happened to the "media" since the writing of the 1st Amendment. Back in the day, there wasn't such a thing as an "impartial" media. All the media outlets were actually quite "partial", quite partisan. Some were well to the left, and others were well to the right, but none pretended to be something that they weren't - as is the standard today. I imagine that the Founding Fathers didn't envision a time when the media would be so homogenized, and camouflaged under the guise of impartial or neutral arbiters of fact.
What I believe is inarguable, is that the media has - with the election of Barack Obama - lost it's status as the so-called Fourth Estate. It very much is now just a propaganda arm of the left.
They truly have and refuse to recognize it. I have papers from the Times reporting the Civil War in the day. It is reported as fact. They are long gone away from that.
The reason why they bus people in is because they are on the losing end of an issue. When the Proposition 209 was a hot button issue, our Republican club had the school ban people who were not students. We were on the winning side when the left did not their big guns. in addition, we had “scouts” within each group and they would feed us tactical information on what they had planned.
Were Democrats really debating national security when they called our president a Nazi, a liar and so forth for doing what all active military analysts saw fit to do in defense of our nation? Where was Katie Couric when that side show drowned out the main event?
What hypocrisy, what pretentiousness, what... frankly.... ignorance she’s put on display.
The fact that liberals throughout the nation harp on this idiot’s every word is even more sickening.
More words of wisdom from Americas Eva Braun.
I’d like to see her birth certificate. That hag has got to be at least 70 years old.
So, are the Secret Service people unarmed?
What do you have in mind, for putting media on track, government control???
Public redicule. Exposure on a large scale. Show the masses the 'man behind the curtain' at every opportunity.
The only people dumber than Couric are the people who hired her
AND the people who believe what she says.
Katie Couric - “I put the BS back in CBS.”
Really? I blame stupid, Rotting Meathead members of the “mainstream” media, like Couric, for the fact that ordinary citizens feel the need to go to Town Halls and raise a ruckus, because all the Democrat elite perverts in Washington and in the “mainstream” media, intentionally and arrogantly ignore the Will of the People!...and ought to be (censored).
I'd say the country is pretty united... against Obama. ;-)
There was a time when CBS News would have covered the revolution now going on in the US vs. criticizing it.
The only thing we have to fear is the ignorance of people like the not so perky one.
Jack Torry, writer for the Columbus Dispatch, essentially picked up Couric’s “ignorant and fear” themes in an article printed in today’s Dispatch. Is there a trend developing?
Howard Dean was in Columbus yesterday; I suspect he wrote Torry’s article for him.
How about “Are we still debating minority voting impediments when uniformed Black Panthers armed with clubs threaten voters and get a pass from the US Attorney General?”
Well said.
You mean someone heard her say that? I didn’t think anyone watched her anymore. Her ratings are the lowest of all TV news reporters. And no wonder the reason they are...with talk like this.
It is when she tries to think then utters what passes for the results of the effort that causes problems...
“Damn!”

When you want someone to REALLY drive your ratings down, SeeBS, got a pro ...
(NOT a photoshopped pic)

Is she dumb enough to believe comments like this will win her any viewers? Some of the town hall protesters are her beloved libs and independents, not just the evil conservatives she maligns on a daily basis.
Maybe she wants controversy, anything to show she’s relevant.
Obama Insists He’s Honest Despite Softball Questions
Jillian Bandes
Friday, August 14, 2009
Obamas town hall meeting in Montana was filled with lengthy cheers and softball questions, despite the administrations vows that questions would not be pre-determined and that tickets would be handed out on a first-come first-serve basis.
We havent pre-selected anybody, Obama said when starting the Q&A session after a lengthy address that highlighted his views on health care legislation
Culture of Corruption by Michelle Malkin FREE
Yet, five of the seven questions taken included compliments for the President. Welcome, and thank you, and I believe in reform as well, said one participant when addressing the President. Thank you Im someone who had a job as the result of your stimulus program, said another. Towards the end of the session, Obama actually had to solicit a question that voiced more dissent ostensibly so the event could appear more legitimate.
The man he selected put together a question that was virtually made in Hollywood.
Im someone who makes a living selling private insurance, said the questioner, and then he asked Obama why he has changed his rhetoric from health care reform to health insurance reform. Obama said there had been no malicious intent there, but simply that he thought insurance companies needed a push.
Because Obama is a constitutional scholar, said one Montanan, another participant in the town hall wanted to read him the opening lines to the Montana State Constitution.
We the people of Montana grateful to God for the quiet beauty of our state, the grandeur of our mountains, the vastness of our rolling plains, and desiring to improve the quality of life, equality of opportunity and to secure the blessings of liberty for this and future generations do ordain and establish this constitution, she read.
What a great way to end this town hall, Obama said.
Some commentators said the event was slightly more heated than the Tuesday town hall meeting Obama held in Portsmouth, N.H. The staged nature of that event is likely what led Obama to be so insistent that this town hall was legitimate.
