CLARKESVILLE - U.S. Rep. Paul Broun, R-Athens, walked into a North Georgia Technical College auditorium Tuesday evening to a standing ovation, holding three thick white binders.
"Folks, this is Obamacare," he said, holding the binders over his head.
"Let me start this by telling you what I think of this bill and Obamacare," he said, and slammed the binders on the ground.
With that, Broun set the tone for a town hall meeting on health care reform. The Democrats' proposal is too expensive and will threaten millions of Georgians' jobs and lives, he said.
"This is a stinking, rotten fish, and they don't want you to smell it, and they want to shove it down your throat and

This is a stinking, rotten fish

He’s, obviously, been in the presence of Rahm (Beelzebub).
Ahhhhhh, so this is what the White House meant by fishy information that’s circulating out there! :)
Wow! I wish he were my Rep! Actually, mine is pretty good, just not that dramatic.
I wonder if he reported that “fishy” bill to flag@whitehouse.gov?
If it looks like a dead fish and smells like a dead fish...
Read the comments at the end of the article. A good number of them show the mindset that can allow Hellcare to pass. We need to counter that “misinformation” with facts every chance we get.
You mean there is actually someone who will stand with us?
How about that?
And? AND? You leave me sitting here with an AND?
Whoa - do I detect the sound of a Republican who really understands politics? [Clutches chest.]
I live in northeast Georgia, and Broun is my rep. The comments on the article are from our local Athens paper. Athens is a university town and is a liberal enclave in many ways. The comments reflect that. But most areas outside the campus area, including our area, are conservative. At least we constituents don’t have to wonder where he stands. He is a member of my church and is a doctor who actually made HOUSE CALLS before he ran for office!
I have notice that the Republicans are not having any town hall “problems”. So far it is only the dimoKKKRATS.
Of course up here in Maine, Snowe and Collins, our two RINOs, fully complicite with the Dems, are not having town halls. They along with the two moonbat reps are in hiding.
Well, at least one Republican has the balls he was born with.
I hope people are banging on their office doors daily.
The other day when Ann Coulter was asked about rising stars among Republican women, she failed to mention Marsha Blackburn.
It’s a crap sandwich, like the bailout bill certain “leaders” told us we had to eat.
I loved one of the comments in particular:
“There’s no need for Dr.Broun to have a townhall in Athens...why cast his pearls before swines....Athens has too many social liberals....”
The author obviously opposes Dr. Broun. The article is slanted.

I have long known of Dr Broun....
