CLARKESVILLE - U.S. Rep. Paul Broun, R-Athens, walked into a North Georgia Technical College auditorium Tuesday evening to a standing ovation, holding three thick white binders.

"Folks, this is Obamacare," he said, holding the binders over his head.

"Let me start this by telling you what I think of this bill and Obamacare," he said, and slammed the binders on the ground.

With that, Broun set the tone for a town hall meeting on health care reform. The Democrats' proposal is too expensive and will threaten millions of Georgians' jobs and lives, he said.

"This is a stinking, rotten fish, and they don't want you to smell it, and they want to shove it down your throat and

If it looks like a dead fish and smells like a dead fish...

Read the comments at the end of the article. A good number of them show the mindset that can allow Hellcare to pass. We need to counter that “misinformation” with facts every chance we get.

The year Obama was born,Kenya became independent from the British Empire.
Before this,Jomo Kenyatta, the popular choice for the first leader of the new state, tried to prevent the same mass murders of Muslims (remembered bitterly for their evil and cruel creation and perpetuation of the East African slave trade)that latter occured in Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar when Tanganyika was also blessed with “uhuru.”
So he ordered some of his beloved old Mau Mau Marxist Muslim comrades to leave—but out of appreciation he did provide them an income.
Some got enough from the old Mau Mau Mandarin to settle in Hawaii.

You mean there is actually someone who will stand with us?

How about that?

Whoa - do I detect the sound of a Republican who really understands politics? [Clutches chest.]

I live in northeast Georgia, and Broun is my rep. The comments on the article are from our local Athens paper. Athens is a university town and is a liberal enclave in many ways. The comments reflect that. But most areas outside the campus area, including our area, are conservative. At least we constituents don’t have to wonder where he stands. He is a member of my church and is a doctor who actually made HOUSE CALLS before he ran for office!

I have notice that the Republicans are not having any town hall “problems”. So far it is only the dimoKKKRATS.

Of course up here in Maine, Snowe and Collins, our two RINOs, fully complicite with the Dems, are not having town halls. They along with the two moonbat reps are in hiding.

Marsha Blackburn had a town hall meeting today in Franklin, TN, which was not like the ones we've been hearing about, according to the Nashville channel 5 website (www.news5.com).

The other day when Ann Coulter was asked about rising stars among Republican women, she failed to mention Marsha Blackburn.

I loved one of the comments in particular:

“There’s no need for Dr.Broun to have a townhall in Athens...why cast his pearls before swines....Athens has too many social liberals....”

The author obviously opposes Dr. Broun. The article is slanted.
