Obama again uses race to turn America’s Republican White middle class suburbs into Detroit
The Collins Report ^ | August 14, 2009 | Kevin "Coach" Collins

Posted on 08/14/2009 6:10:35 AM PDT by jmaroneps37

In June we got peek at Obama’s plans to destroy America’s white middle class suburbs.

Now we have new evidence Obama is using race to turn America into the socialist gulag in his dreams for America.

The first plan unveiled the idea of the federal government demolishing large sections of Flint Michigan and Detroit and relocating their residents to middle class suburbs.

Today comes another plan to flood traditional Republican suburbs with exactly the people these middle class Americans moved away from.

No place to run

The Department of Housing and Urban Development has been changed into the Department of SUB-urban development after completing an extorted agreement with Westchester, a county immediately north of New York City.

Westchester has “agreed” to build hundreds of “affordable houses” which is of course code language for barracks for Obama’s shock troops of destruction. In a glorious understatement both HUD and the victimized people of Westchester said the federally arranged “agreement” will “have far-reaching national consequences.” Count on that!

Make no mistake this is a huge victory for those who are bent upon pulverizing America’s upper middle class. Westchester County has some of the most affluent small towns in America.

An Anti-Discrimination Center of Metro New York spokesman said: “Westchester can no longer hide from the ugly reality of continuing residential segregation,” Translation: “White middle class where ever you run to we’ll find you and make you pay for the destruction of your own neighborhoods.”

Westchester has announced it will either build or acquire 750 residential units in its quaint peaceful neighborhoods over the next seven years. Of that 85% must be in neighborhoods with less than 3% Blacks and less than 7% Hispanic.

The Clintons live in Chappaqua, just such a town, but it’s doubtful they’ll be any “Movin’ on up” to Chappaqua.

This assault is going right under the radar. Years back in New York City this practice was called Block busting. It was illegal and sent a few real estate brokers to jail. What they would do is buy a house in the middle of a White neighborhood and then sell it to a Black family. Then they would hand out flyers offering paniced Whites "The best price you are going to get." They would buy low and sell high to Black families.

Moved out of Dearborn two years ago. There are not many of the white middle class left. The only reason some are still there is that they cannot sell their houses. Many are just walking away. We were lucky. We saw the writing on the wall. Sold but lost 40K. Husband took early retirement and we moved back home to Kentucky.

I live in a rural area of a midwestern state.

Over the past year, the black population has EXPLODED, and they are all moving into Section 8 housing from the big cities on either side of the state.

And they all have new cars, without any visible means of support.

And drug-dealing and drive-by shootings have become commonplace.

We have to starve the federal government of funds. Maybe that means we all quit working for a couple of years. We have to kill the beast.

I am jealous of the “moved back to Kentucky” part of the story. I’m hoping to do so one day but for now I’m stuck in southern California.

We lived in 29 Palms for a while. Hubby was stationed out there, and I really liked it. I love the desert. But at this point in our lives it was best to come back. Unfortunately, too many liberals are moving in and trying to take over. All us conservatives are moving east of Louisville.

Every step he takes is outside the Constitution. Isn’t there anyone with the cajones to start impeachment action against this man? Can citizens bring about impeachment charges? I know...we can’t.

I hear tell that this was tried in my neighborhood 40 years ago. It didn't work. There is one black family down the street who've been here since the early 70's. They're the only ones left. Nice, decent people who maintain their property. What more could you ask for in neighbors?

What, you don’t think it’s OK to sacrifice the health and safety of white children to the Gods of Political Correctness?
You are exactly right. White flight happens because those who CAN escape the decay do so.
I know white parents who intentionally choose to send their kids to majority black schools so that they may experience “true diversity”....

These places are already demolished. Cleaning up the rubble would be a better description.

Take a good look at what 0commie did to a neighborhood of "homeys."

Obama's "community organizing" left Chicago neighborhoods in ruins.

Grim proving ground for Obama's housing policy (Boston Globe)

"About 99 of the units are vacant, many rendered uninhabitable by unfixed problems, such as collapsed roofs and fire damage. Mice scamper through the halls. Battered mailboxes hang open. Sewage backs up into kitchen sinks. In 2006, federal inspectors graded the condition of the complex an 11 on a 100-point scale - a score so bad the buildings now face demolition."

Good.

Not just good, GREAT!

Lots of those folks have their head in the sand. You have the wealthy upper class libs who want “the best” for the poor, as long as it’s not in their back yard.
You also have the disillusioned conservatives who stayed home and said: “Obama won’t be any worse than McCain”.

Ha! Now let’s see how those folks feel in 2010, or 2012.

Years ago I had a particularly onerous boss who made us all post a picture at our desks of something we would like to have (fancy car, vacation, etc.) to motivate us to get more sales. I had posted a picture of a large, elegant house. He would walk by and look at it and say “Real Estate? Excellent! Great Investment!”

What he did not know was that my goal was actually to buy the five houses closest to his, and donate them to the HUD Section 8 program.

Little did I know the day would come when our President would do that for me.

I’m stuck in southern California.

not really... you just look at the cost benefit ratio and it suits you.

SoCal has fantastic beaches, great weather, tons of activities........ it also has flaming liberal assh#les, cr#ppy place to raise kids in an environment without having to monitor everything, taxes that make your cost of living astronomical and the fact that you are surrounded by libs that just know how smart they are compared to everybody else.

Kentucky/Texas/Idaho/Missouri/Alaska and a lot of other places are different... that's what makes our country great. We have choices and if we're willing to move can chose how much liberal cr@p we have to tolerate.

Its just the nature of the BEAST. And you could see it comming all along. Obumma’s are like Roaches, we’ll never get rid of them now. His boys (acorn & seiu) will take over the polls at the next elections. You will most likely have to have a tatoo on your arm to vote, sound similar to WWII.
This is just the tip of the iceberg.

Some of the people who really get screwed in this kind of arrangement are the black middle and upper classes who have earned their place in the suburbs and towns by their own efforts. With an influx of ghetto kids into their schools, suddenly the children of black professionals get subjected to the guns and knives, drugs, teen sex and all the urban ills their parents worked so hard to shield them from.

Here in Maryland, the Democraps accomplish this task by gerrymandering school districts. If a good school evolves in a safe neighborhood, the Democrats target it. They threaten discrimination suits, then redraw the maps and bus routes so that the school imports up to 80% "disadvantaged" kids from other towns. Next thing you know, all the houses near the school that sell in the normal course of turnover start going to a different type of buyer -- immigrants and single-parent households with dozens of relatives moving in and out, with unknown persons arriving by car with loud thumpers at 1:00 or 2:00 in the morning on a week night, that sort of thing. If the community association tries to enforce the by-laws to have the lawn or property maintained, they get accused of racism. Sale prices drop. The pace of turnover then escalates.

And who is to blame? You guessed it.

I would imagine that part of the motivation of this is to dilute republican leaning voting areas. It looks like people gerrymandering. It fits the pattern. The dimrats are targeting American citizens that typically vote for republican candidates.

Have lived in Ky for many years now. Town is appx one half of one percent black. We average about one murder every two or three years. Naturally there couldn’t be any connection. All of those killings and shootings in Chicago, Detroit, New York, Oakland...just happenstance don’t you know!!

The interesting thing to me is that what you notice is factual. You aren’t making things up, nor are you using nuance or context to distort any conclusion.

However, in America today, anyone in public life who would make that same observation is immediately branded a racist.

The development I moved into couple years ago is still having construction going on. Here's the humorous part. A large percent of the occupants in my neighborhood are Hispanic, but they are good, decent, hard working middle-class people who take just as much pride in a nice neighborhood as I do. Many of them moved out of ‘bad’ neighborhoods to give their kids a nice place to grow up. Now the city is looking to start building cheap, ‘cookie-cutter’ houses in the development to ‘encourage’ people in the rundown neighborhood to move there. Problem is, all my hispanic neighbors are hell-bent against the idea.

This makes my blood boil. How many Americans have had to pick up, sell their houses, (often at a loss,) pull their kids out of their schools and away from their friends, endure the stress and expense of moving to a new place, (which also means switching jobs or enduring a longer commute,)etc., etc., because their neighborhood was purposely ruined in this way?

I’m a working class person, I live in an apartment, I’m not one of those people who lives in a nice suburban neighborhood. But everything about this screams unfairness. If a family works hard and achieves the American dream and manages to live in a nice, safe area with good schools, it’s like the government purposely wants to spoil it for them. We’re turning into a nation of fleeing people, fleeing to the suburbs, fleeing to gated communities, fleeing to other states, only to have to flee again. Where does it end? How do we fight this?

Same here. One couple brought up three really good kids, the other couple ran a business, finally retired and downsized and moved.

This is just like the immigration issue.

It’s fine to have people of other cultures come into our country or our neighborhoods, but only as a trickle, and only as fast as the ones that are already there take to be assimilated into the prevailing culture of the country or neighborhood.

Businesses are currently doing this as well - placing moratoriums on hiring from specific large employers that are laying off, in order to preserve their own corporate culture against the influence of the newbies.

My neighborhood has always been mixed race. It was relatively peaceful as well. Largely lower middle class. Mariachi music, hard rock and soul could be heard as you cruised around. But neighbors got along well.

The goobermint bought a compartment building and turned it into section 8 housing - three blocks from my house.

It wasn’t black people who moved in, it was hispanics, largely NON-ENGLISH SPEAKING hispanics. Can you say illegals, anyone ?

Since then crime and vandalism have increased dramatically. Some of the fast food joints employ folks whose English is unintelligible. HUGE crowds (50-60 plus) of illegals infest the Ross parking lot, the bus top and the back of the convenience store, where they hang out and harass women trying to shop or catch the bus.

But with our close proximity to downtown, the neighborhood has also seen a dramatic change. 60% of the houses are NEW. The new residents are again mixed race, but with a lot more dough.

Guess who’s our congresscommie ? Sheila Jackson-Lee ! I have high hopes of turning her sorry “Queen Sheila” ass out soon.

As long as the illegals don’t get to vote.

Don’t know. My daughter and SIL bought a huge home in downtown Detroit. When it was almost finished, there was a suspicious fire and it was destroyed. They moved into an apartment and ended walking away from it because of the insurance. Too bad, because it was a beautiful house. Now it is boarded up, and falling down.(They accused my SIL of setting the fire, but couldn’t prove it. Why would they have risked their lives sleeping in the basement when the wanted to burn it down??? They loved that house.)

The race thing can go the other way too. When we were selling our house a black guy who looked at it, made it very clear to us that when he brought in an offer, we had better take it or he would sue us for discrimination.
He said that he would tie up the sale for months and would eventually get the house for nothing. He was very upfront about it. My wife was panicked.
Fortunately we got a good offer the same day from somebody else, and never saw an offer from this guy.
