You can kill a young girl but the President will still give you the top civilian award. Sickening.

...And what did he do to deserve this?
He’s been a senator for a long time. If that’s the standard, why don’t the other old long serving senators get one?
The only thing this old fool has done that’s unique is kill a woman with his dammed car!

Obama has managed to taint even the country’s highest civilian award with murdering drunks, queers and who knows who else.
To: Jean S
If we listened to Ted Kennedy at the very least Eastern Europe would still be enslaved. In terms of the big issues from the 70s to today Kennedy has been on the wrong side.

What did Ms. Kopechne get? A decent burial and many mourners, and a wonderful reception from God.
My school bus passed her parent's house in Berkley Heights, NJ every day on the way to h.s. Her sister was 2 years older than I was so I never knew her but the family moved away fairly quickly.
I was in NJ about 5 years ago, their house is no longer there.

I was young when it happened, around 16. The rumors in our town was yes, they were paid off. Again, just rumors, but they had a small cape cod house and moved out of out town rather quickly.

That's rich - a medal of 'freedom' coming from BO who is hell bent on taking away our freedom.
top civilian award
Did Kennedy retire?
To: Jean S
So is Russia going to give the Cape Cod Orca a medal too? According to that KGB guy, ol’ Teddy (hic!) was quite the tovarisch. A shameful president handing out ‘honor’ to those that have none.
Yeah, it figures.

Too bad for the truly significant and respected recipients of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, like Stephen Hawking, that Komrade Obama has determined to turn it into just another leftist perk for the politically correct, the socialists and the Hate-America crowd.
He devalues it by awarding it to his fellow travellers like Mary Robinson and Ted Kennedy.
Might as well give them an Oscar or a Pulitzer Prize.

What a way to cheapen a great honor by giving it to a despicable human like Ted Kennedy.
I would love to know what this Ass has told his priest at confessional.
Probably lies to him like he has everyone else.
Well I hope Ted resides in Purgatory for all Eternity for sins so many they are incalculable.
To: Jean S
Just my humble opinion of course, but Ted Kennedy is one evil bastard who should die in shame wallowing in his own excrement.

These medals mean nothing, they are political. We should do away with all medals given by the US govt except for war decorations. Let some civilian groups give out whatever they want, but these are a waste of taxpayer money and time.

When he goes (soon), I'll tick off one more reprobate gone from that horrible family.
Does anyone wonder what Kennedy thinks when he sees a young woman in her late 20’s living her life in happiness?
He abandoned a young woman to die in his MOTHER'S OLDSMOBILE and got away with it.
The American people have paid for his crime and Massachusetts should be vilified for electing that rotten bastard again and again.
