Gridline Corp. offers broadband and TV over electric lines. No modems, cables, or dishes. Has been working in Britian for years. They did the China Olympics with no problems. Somehow they can’t get financing here in the U.S.
What’s the big deal about broadband???
One can only surmise why this is at the top of anyone’s list as a stimulus project....unless they want a way to track us or mass email their minions.
Only apparently they're not. They don't know where the "needy" are, and they can't guarantee the speed. But they're going to to ahead and award the contracts. Is this the Algore tax? Or some other scheme?
All I want free from the government is my most basic needs.
A small modest home, cable/internet/phone, medical care, a dependable economy car, maybe a given base line of govt. supplied electricity and gas/water and a little gasoline for basic, local auto use, but nothing more than that.
Everything else I will pay for myself. Well, except maybe a few govt. coupons every month for a free fast food meal and food stamps I guess, but that would be all.
