Last night in St. Louis, Missouri, a reverend and member of SEIU was assaulted at a town hall. The incident, along with a town hall in Tampa, Florida, has been all over the radio and cable news shows. GOP operatives are rushing to paint it as SEIU "thug" violence. That couldn't be further from the truth.

The Social Medicine Portal
An Alternative to Corporate Health
The meeting began with a welcome from Paula Mayo, Director of the Interchurch Center, and introductory remarks by Dr. L. Toni Lewis
1.Social and economic conditions profoundly impact health, disease and the practice of medicine.
2.The health of the population is a matter of social concern.
3.Society should promote health through both individual and social means.
As might be gathered from these ideas, social medicine was not simply an academic pursuit. Its practitioners were political reformers, radicals, activists. Virchow believed that the physician was the natural advocate for the poor. And this defense of social justice would stamp future generations of physicians and health care workers.

The SEIU contains a lot of old communist party supporters, esp. Dennis Rivera of the old Local 1199. Ask about 1199’s first founder/president Leon Davis, Mr. Support the CPUSA himself. Ask about Davis’ red buddies, the Foner boys, Henry, Moe, etc. Ask about the CP’s David Livingston and Al Evanoff (longtime CP supporter) in the Distributive Workers of America District 65.
SOmebody ask the SEIU why there are so many reds in it? Oh, I forgot. It was an amalgamation of old CP unions with socialist ones. Go to Wikipedia and read about the SEIU’s history. The old unions were CPUSA-dominated ones.
Now they are the red-shirts (along with ACORN) of the communist/socialist movement. It’s the 1930’s all over again, but this time Hitler is Obama, and Himmler is Holder and Emanuel, and Pelosi is Eva Braun.
This is red fascism at its finest and it’s coming to your neighborhood townhall soon.

And it's a reminder of how GOP scare-tactics ("the government will kill the elderly,!" True. Obama himself said they might have to deny life saving treatments, and give them a pain pill.
"the government will choose your doctors!"
More likely your doctor will quit treating you rather than lose money on the government plan. Many will quit medicine altogether. You will be forced to select from a ever shrinking pool of doctors willing to continue to work under the government plan.
or "the government will ration care!") use fear to overpower the truth.
Obviously, with fewer doctors, set prices, and more patients, they will have to ration.

Health Care Push
Propagation of class warfare by Dr. L. Toni Lewis, MD of SEIU Healthcare. It is interesting that this supposed doctor was e-mailing me as a part of the lobbyist group Healthcare United, now she shows her affiliation with SEIU. Is Healthcare United a front group for SEIU? See some of the grinding verbiage I have highlighted below:
Dear Interstellar,
When was the last time you got a paycheck for $9,600?
If it was last pay period, the health care reform bill in Congress may not be for you. But if you’re one of the 98% of Americans who make less than $250,000 every year, you stand to save a lot of money.
The health care reform bill being voted on in the House this week will save you an average of $2,200 per year.[1] It would have people who make more than a quarter of a million dollars help pay for reform by rolling back Bush’s tax cuts for the rich. [2]
The bill is headed for a vote in the next few days. Click here to write a letter to your representative and urge them to pass historic health reform so you can save money.
For decades, giant corporations have refused to pay their fair share of rising health care costs. All the while, workers, small business owners, and our families have picked up their tab.
We can change that. But we’ve got to act now. Click here to tell Congress it’s time everyone - even millionaires - did their part to fix health care.
This bill guarantees us quality, affordable health care. It will cover the uninsured and significantly lower the costs for those of us who have insurance. Let’s pass this bill, so we can lower ours.
Thanks for all you do,
Dr. L. Toni Lewis, MD

SEIU is nothing but a bunch of parasites.
They do nothing but feed off of our tax dollars and in return do nothing good.
Most nurses are SEIU. They want Obamacare because they figure eventually they’ll become civil service employees and then they can not work, get paid and never be fired.

This is the link that I was given when I attempted to find out about health care:
http://www.barackobama.com/pdf/HC_OfficeVisits/OfficeVisit_CA.pdf
What really gets me about this is that they suggest that we should agree with them about Obama Care and that is the reason for the visit.
This is rather disgusting, as I would expect that our representatives would want to know what our thoughts are on this, regardless if we agree with them or not!
Is this the twilight zone?
As far as I am concerned, Dennis Cardoza is TOAST!

"Last Wednesday, I went to Wakarusa to protest the IIC's policies. SEIU/ACORN had bussed in at least 3 busloads of Obamessiah supporters. Yesterday I was told 2 buses were from St. Louis, one from Chicago.
Some of these same people showed up yesterday at Martin's grocery. Wednesday and yesterday they used the tactic of walking in front of anti-Obama protesters and raising their signs while shouting down the protesters. I saw this same tactic at our local July TEA Party, and when Obama spoke at Notre Dame. On Wednesday I moved away from the ACORN incursion, informing people that my job since 1971 has been killing Commies, and I was having some difficulty restraining myself.
As I've written before, it won't take much to toggle Civil War in this kind of climate."

Madame Speaker Nancy Pelosi (affectionately known as Nancy Pelo-cchio among us political terrorists on the Right) snuck into a Denver health care clinic today, where she was greeted by 200 grass-roots protesters against socialized medicine and a handful of Obama-bots and union members carrying identical HCAN signs.
I already noted this morning how one of the Obamacare activists yanked an anti-Pelosi sign out of a protesters hands. Brown shirt, anyone?
Theres much more.
Denver photojournalist El Marco was at the event and has an amazing pictorial essay detailing how Pelo-cchios Astroturf brigade had to be coached by professional organizers including several day laborers who didnt speak English and couldnt tell what the signs they were holding read. And they accuse Tea Party folks of being puppets?!

Authenticity!

Elsewhere in Colorado, Rep. Jared Polis gets and earful.
And mobsters in Longmont respond to the Democrat smears.
August 9th, 2009
As we noted back at the time of the Congressional recess of August 2007, the usual anti-American Democrat operatives put together an organization to stalk pro-war Congressmen at townhalls, at their homes, around the clock to try to turn them against supporting the Iraq War in general and the surge in particular.
And guess what? This was organized by the very same people who are now leading the charge for Mr. Obamas healthcare reform.
Here is how this development was reported by the ever discreet Reuters:
U.S. lawmakers get no respite at home on Iraq debate
By Richard Cowan
WASHINGTON (Reuters) Anti-war groups knew U.S. Rep. Timothy Murphy was going home to Pittsburgh for this months congressional recess, so they baked him a cake.
Rep. Murphy Welcome Home Bring Them Home, was the Iraq troop withdrawal message written in green icing that greeted the conservative Republican at his district office on August 8.
For the 535 members of the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate, the August break traditionally is a time for family vacations, foreign travel, campaign fund-raising and meeting with voters.
For Democrats and lobbying groups working to end a war now in its fifth year, August has been a chance to challenge supporters of President George W. Bushs war policy on their home turf and in the run-up to Congress war funding debate next month.
Congress is catching up with public sentiment against the war and Democrats have several times won approval of troop withdrawal plans only for them to be vetoed by Bush or tripped up by Republican opposition. Still, there is a bipartisan realization that tens of thousands of U.S. troops are likely to stay in Iraq for many years.
Iraq is at the top of most voters minds right now, said Doug Thornell, a spokesman for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, which wants to expand the partys hold on the House in the November 2008 elections
For Tom Matzzie, Washington director of activist group MoveOn.org, its a clear choice for Bushs party.
The question in September is, will Republicans follow Bush off this cliff? said Matzzie
Moira Mack, a spokeswoman for Americans Against Escalation in Iraq, said her coalition of liberal groups has distributed at least 25,000 support the troops, end the war yard signs in states where Republican could face difficult re-election bids.
Sen. Norm Coleman, one Minnesota Republican who could face a tough campaign next year, arrived home in St. Paul to see one of the signs in his neighbors front yard, Mack said
Doesnt this article make it sound like our elected officials are facing the wrath of the people and that the system is working as it should?
Of course that is a total lie. The groups mentioned are paying people to stalk Congressmen who support the war and the surge.
[Note: many of the links to AAEI have been expunged from the internet. But some pages of their site can still be (for the moment) accessed via the Internet Archives Of The Wayback Machine.]
Check out the aforementioned Americans Against Escalation In Iraq:

Take A Stand Campaign
The Take a Stand Campaign is a nation-wide organizing drive to demand that members of Congress and the Senate take a stand with the vast majority of Americans who want a safe and responsible redeployment of American Forces from Iraq.
Across America, over 100 Iraq Summer organizers are working to involve thousands of ordinary Americans in an effort to pressure targeted members of Congress to vote to bring a safe end to the war. This Take A Stand Campaign will culminate with Take A Stand town meetings to be held on August 28th, immediately before congress reconvenes.
There are lots of ways to get involved from attending a Take a Stand town hall in your area to helping organize and spreading the word about the event.
Compare and contrast.

From the AAEIIs website, via the Wayback Machine:

Americans Against Escalation In Iraq About Us
Americans Against Escalation in Iraq is a national campaign comprised of a variety groups from across the political spectrum that are committed to opposing the Bush-McCain plan to escalate the war in Iraq and to work for the responsible redeployment of American forces. Americans Against Escalation in Iraq includes Veterans, students, some of the nations leading anti-war voices, and progressive organizations which traditionally confine their activity to domestic issues. Many of the organizations coming together to lead Americans Against Escalation in Iraq include those which successfully mounted a national campaign in 2005 to defeat President Bushs effort to privatize Social Security. Using that same campaign model, these organizations are joining with more traditional anti-war forces, Veterans and students to mount this campaign because the stakes are so high and because the future of a generation of Americans is on the line.
Americans Against Escalation in Iraq, which includes the Service Employees International Union, MoveOn.org Political Action, VoteVets.org, Center for American Progress Action Fund, USAction, Win Without War, Campaign for Americas Future, the United States Student Association, Working Assets, Americans United for Change, Campus Progress Action and Nation Security Network has banded together to launch a multi million dollar effort in thirty states to apply pressure through paid advertising and a firestorm of grassroots mobilization opposing President Bush on his plan for escalating the war and on Members of Congress who must stand up to the President and insist on a policy which responsibly brings our troops home.
And yes, you too can sign up for free housing and a nice salary, if you will devote your time to harassing an elected official 24 hours a day, seven days a week:

Jobs Iraq Summer
There will be a major new organizing initiative to end the War in Iraq Iraq Summer
Americans Against Escalation in Iraq (AAEI) plans to deploy 110 organizers to the Districts of critical House and Senate Republicans who still support the Presidents disastrous policy in Iraq. There job will be to execute a national program to help fracture critical elements of the Republican base of support for the war by early fall.
Take A Stand
When the President announced his escalation plan in January, many Republicans said that we should give the policy six months to work. By late August the Presidents escalation policy will be 7 months old plenty of time for Republicans to give the Presidents policy a chance to work.
Just as important, as they approach Labor Day, Republicans will begin to look right into the cross hairs of the political disaster that they face in 2008 if they continue to support this disastrous war.
AAEI plans to demand that by late August every one of these Republicans are forced to Take a Stand to break their ties with Bushs war.
The Iraq Summer Project will organize that Take a Stand campaign on the ground.
Recruiting Organizers for Iraq Summer An Opportunity to be Part of History
AAEI together with MoveOn.org, USAction and Americans United for Change are a currently recruiting the organizers to execute this project.
We are looking for the best of the best.
Candidates must be tough, ready to work long hours, go wherever they are needed, devote themselves completely to the task, have use of a car, and be passionate about ending the war. They need to report for training June 16th and be available through Labor Day (September 3rd).

For a little more background on the HCAN/AAEI, here are some excerpts from Discover The Networks:
AMERICANS AGAINST ESCALATION IN IRAQ (AAEI)
Established in January 2007 with the aim of bringing about an immediate withdrawal of all U.S. troops from Iraq, Americans Against Escalation in Iraq (AAEI) describes itself as a major, multi-million dollar national campaign to oppose the Presidents proposal to escalate the war
After Democrats had won control of Congress two months prior to AAEIs founding, President Bush did not, contrary to many leftists expectations, announce that he would end Americas military presence in Iraq. Instead he responded with a plan to deploy an additional 21,000 troops in an effort to quell the insurgency there. This prompted MoveOn.orgs Washington, DC Director Tom Matzzie to create AAEI. Says Matzzie: We realized we needed a big campaign on the war because there was this mandate out of the election, but the Democratic majorities were thin and they hadnt been united on the war, ever.
Prior to his work with MoveOn and AAEI, Matzzie had been an Online Mobilization Director for the AFL-CIO. In 2004 he worked as Director of Online Organizing for John Kerrys presidential campaign. In 2006 he worked on behalf of antiwar Democrat Ned Lamont, who was seeking to take a Connecticut Senate seat from Joe Lieberman, the Democrat-turned-Independent who favored Americas involvement in the Iraq War.
After forming AAEI, Matzzie quickly recruited a large team of leftwing activists to join his new organization, which is structured as a coalition of groups devoted to a consistent antiwar objective. Though AAEI claims that its member groups represent points across the political spectrum, its coalition members in fact hail exclusively from the political Left. These members include the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), MoveOn.org, the Center for American Progress Action Fund , USAction, Win Without War, Vote Vets, Campaign for Americas Future, the United States Student Association, Working Assets, Americans United for Change, Campus Progress Action, and the National Security Network.
From its earliest days, AAEIs principal source of funding has been MoveOn.org. SEIU has also contributed heavily, as have a number of individual donors whose identities Matzzie refuses to publicly disclose. By September 2007, AAEI had spent $12 million on a combination of grass-roots organizing, polling (Matzzie hired the prominent Democratic pollsters Stan and Anna Greenberg), and television advertisements aimed at persuading the American public and Washington legislators that U.S. involvement in the Iraq War was bad policy. Matzzie states that shaping the medias coverage of the war, and thereby influencing the environment that the debate is taking place in, constitutes a huge part of what we [AAEI] do.
In the summer of 2007, AAEI launched its Iraq Summer campaign, a three-month organizing initiative to end the War in Iraq. Explained AAEI, Those of you who are old enough will remember Mississippi Summer that helped pass the civil rights laws, and Viet Nam Summer that helped end the Viet Nam War. Iraq Summer will be the 21st century edition of those historic projects. Aiming to help fracture critical elements of the Republican base of support for the war by early fall, AAEI deployed 110 organizers who were trained at the Maritime Institute in Baltimore a union training facility to the 40 Districts of key House and Senate Republicans who steadfastly supported the Presidents disastrous policy in Iraq. In all of these Districts the organizers used field operations, coalition building, paid and earned media strategies, volunteer events and cutting edge online organizing to turn up the heat on Republican members of Congress who are blocking a safe end to the Iraq [W]ar.
AAEI gives each of its organizers a $125 video camera called The Flip camera which can be plugged into a USB port on a computer. With this equipment, AAEI activists have produced (and posted online) hundreds of videos showing their confrontations with supporters of the war.
According to a September 2007 New York Times piece: [AAEI] coordinates extensively with Democrats on Capitol Hill. Matzzie himself meets with Speaker Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid, the Senate majority leader, maybe once a month, he says, adding that he talks to their staffs once a day, or at least a couple times a week. (Senior Democratic aides sometimes even join AAEIs conference calls.) This might entail discussions of political strategy or more substantive policy briefings by experts from AAEIs member think tanks.
AAEIs modus operandi bears little resemblance to that of the Vietnam-era antiwar demonstrators, who adopted a counterculture hippie image and took to the streets in massive numbers. By contrast, AAEI heeds the advice of the late organizer Saul Alinsky, who advised radicals to adopt the dress and appearance of the middle class, so as not to make themselves vulnerable to the charge that they are nothing more than fringe extremists
But you see, the people who are opposing their strong arm tactics are the real thugs.
They are the astroturfing professional agitators representing special interests over the interests of the American people.
All of our watchdog media say so.
For the record, you can still find many of the video clips from this systematic paid stalking of Congress on YouTube.

Obamas OFA cooked up plan to astroturf community organize Congressional offices [Darleen Click]
You knew this was coming. I got the email Sunday afternoon click on image for full email

Well provide everything you need: the address, phone number, and open hours for the office, information about how the health care crisis affects your state for you to drop off (with the option of adding your personal story), and a step-by-step guide for your visit. [...]
Many representatives are pushing hard toward reform, and they are taking a lot of heat from special interests. They deserve our thanks and need our support to continue the fight. But those who are still putting insurance companies and partisan point-scoring ahead of their constituents must know that voters are watching and that we expect better.
Of course, I clicked through the embedded link to sign up!

Lets look at the money line again
Choose a day and time to sign up this week we want to have someone at each office throughout the day all throughout the week.
Heres the link
Obamas plan is to flood Congressional offices, every hour of every day of the break with form carrying OFAers.
Noooooo. No astroturfing here! Move along, nothing to see.
After I filled in the form and scheduled a time, I received the two-page plan. Also, they asked for a contact phone number so an organizer can check up on me.
Understand, I am going to contact the good Congressman and tell them what to expect from the OFA, and I am going to take the call from the organizer.
But I dont think s/he is going to hear what they expect when they reach me.
Indeed.

There is offensive language on this video, so if that bothers you, you are warned. To my way of thinking the physical violence is more offensive:
Source: The indispensable Hot Air
The day after the attack on a fellow selling buttons and Dont Tread on Me flags (and which immediately preceded this event), Health Secretary Kathleen Sebelius held a conference call to the SEIU, during which she greeted her union brothers and sisters and said keep doing what youre doing!
Culture of Corruption, anyone? By the book.
From time-to-time I get commenters telling me what a horrid Catholic I am, because I dont like the policies and practices of our president, and I dont delicately mince my words about it. I seem to lack nuance or something.
I wonder if Catholic Sebelius tacit endorsement of physical violence and intimidation bothers these folks as much? Oh, wait, let me anticipate the response: Obviously Sebelius could not possibly have known about the previous nights beating, video of which was all over the internet, or she would have chosen her words differently, because no reasonable person could ever believe that she would actually be endorsing thug-tactics, which were probably staged and false, anyway. And there were no so-called thugs running interference in Tampa, either!
That about cover it?
Okay, now, this photo essay is breathtaking youll want to send it around:
So, Sebelius tells the unions to keep doing what theyre doing, and then Nancy Pelosi (another Catholic with life-issue-learning disabilities) who called the protesters Astroturf who carry swastikas (ahem) gets some help with GENUINE top-down-manufactured, David Axelrod-designed Astroturfing by her own team. Check it out, and see just who is being organized by powerful interest groups (and community organizers) and who are the grassroots protesters.

The organizer is demonstrating the use of a bullhorn to a man who appears totally unfamiliar with its use. For a grassroots campaign, this sure is organized! . . . This is the first time in my life that I can recall a government in North America organizing protests of one group of citizens against another. This is standard operating procedure in countries with left-wing governments.
This clinic is adjacent to Denvers day laborer pickup street, Park Avenue. Being fluent in Spanish, El Marco asked these guys ¿hablan ingles? casi nada was the reply from our amigo on the left. I asked him if he could tell me what the signs said. ¿Quien sabe? (who knows?) was all he said to me, with a big grin. Im kicking myself for not asking them how much they were getting paid to support the grassroots.
Check out the organizers puppet, meant to accuse the grassroots folks of being same. If it were not so demented, so dishonest, so disingenuous, so insulting and so very, very troubling, it would be hilarious. Of course, there is nothing hilarious about people getting in their faces ala Obamas campaign command, and blasting out their ears with bullhorns.
My organizer called me. I said Youre kidding. She said, No, look: hes right there -pointing to the guy with the bullhorn hes from Organizing for America. At this point, a number of the astroturfers departed, including Laura. She told me that transportation was waiting to take them to Nancy Pelosis next event at Highlands Ranch.
What unconscionable dishonesty from Nancy I-think-theyre-astroturf Pelosi. Everything she and her party says they hate, they are. Everything they accuse the opposition of doing, they do. I cant even call it projection because in truth, projection is often innocent and unconscious. There is nothing innocent or unintended in their duplicitousness. This is such breathtaking dishonesty that it makes Bill Clinton at his lying worst look like a piker, like a mere Tom Sawyer.
Meanwhile, based on nothing more than their Obamalovin hate and the goofball numbers they can pull out of their asses, the increasingly whacked and utterly indecent Chris Matthews and his guest decide that hey, 45-65% of these protesters? Raaaaaacists! Yup. Yup. Yup!
So, you see, if you oppose Obamacare, youre a bad person; if youre a bad person, you can be labeled anything the left and the press (but I am redundant) want to label you. If you protest this presidents policy and the way he and his minions are going about suppressing dissent, then you are raaaacist. And if you suggest that Kathleen Sebelius and Nancy Pelosi are organized-movement cheerleaders you will probably be called a seeeeexxxist.!
I am waiting for some gay/lesbian/transgendered community organizer, astroturf-participant or member of congress to wade into this debate with an accusation that opposition to Obamacare is somehow opposition to gender-tolerance, so we can be called hoooomophobes, too, and win the Racist/Sexist/Homophobe Trifecta of Nasty Namecalling and Libelous Labeling an award the left generously and incessantly enjoys handing out to the stupids on the right
What creepy, creepy people.
And if you dont like that, if you think Im a baaaad Catholic for spelling it out, well I feel absolutely no need to confess anything more than my contempt for what is going on in this country under the guise of false hope and nefariously dishonest change, and for the busy little useful idiots who carry this disease like wide-ranging cockroaches.
So, you should probably flag me to the government. And go ahead, report me to the pope, too, after you shake your head sadly and tell me how disappointed you are in me.
I am more than disappointed in you. But you know what? Ill still never thug you up.

Apparently they are “scrubbing” the negative comments on the link from the article posted as fast as they can. Funny that. Meh.

Hmmm, there must have been a website malfunction because my previous comment disappeared. No need to restore from backups, I’ll just post it again:
Wow. I can’t believe you included the St. Louis violence clip in your little propaganda video. You do realize, don’t you, that the clip clearly documents an assault by one of your union members. If you replay the video a few times and watch closely, you can see that at 1:03, the guy in the blue union shirt rushes into the picture, grabs Mr. Gladney (in the brown) and violently throws him to the ground. An unmistakeable assault. Way to go!

I think this is only the tip of the iceberg of ugly. The thugs are not going to live this one down, no matter how they spin it. More and more people are beginning to pay attention....even those who normally aren’t political. Too bad our elected representatives are not listening. Of course they’ll be thrown out of office and receive an appointment as a czar.

VOTE AGAINST ALL INCUMBENTS
To: Daffynition
Too bad our elected representatives are not listening. Of course theyll be thrown out of office and receive an appointment as a czar. You know, I have pondered that mightily, because at heart politicians are much the same- they cling to power & office, and normally ignoring a majority of voters is suicidal...
All I can figure behind this seeming indifference to The Will of The People is that they calculate on Zer0 appointing them to unelected office if they lose their seats, or that we will be so much in their thrall that they can ignore us.

VOTE AGAINST ALL INCUMBENTSYears ago, I belonged to US Term Limits, and as interest waned in the cause, mine did too, but honest to God, something has got to be done to get those jackals either out of office entirely, or get them home to the people they supposedly represent so they can hear them, and not a bunch of DC Fat Cats who currently have their ears.

There is no such thing as “red fascism”. Communism is one form of socialism, Fascism is another - both are distinctive political philosophies and are mutually exclusive. Of the two, Fascists are far more benigh than Communists.
Number of people murdered score:
Nazi Fascist Hitler - 20,946,000
Communists Stalin & Mao - 138,613,000
Japanese Statists - 10,000,000
SouthEast Asian Communists - 5,300,000
Socialism to 1987 - 212,559,000
(give or take the odd million here and there)
You must be able to name your enemies accurately and consistantly or you will never be able to defeat them.

“Most nurses are SEIU”
That might ought to read “Most nurses who are unionized are SEIU”.
My wife is an RN, and I can tell you right out that most nurses are not unionized. In fact, as for our experience, only those in CA are.

I still see the states’ rights movement as the only way to rid ourselves of these thugs and parasites.
Simply make their behavior, nay, their entire CULTURE unacceptable in your state and tell the feds to piss off when they attempt to force a state to accept them.
