Martin County Sheriff's detectives didn't buy it when a 48-year-old Jensen Beach man claimed that his cat was downloading child pornography on his computer.

I don’t find the cat theory particularly believable, but it is certainly possible for malware to download all sorts of nasty stuff. I am leery of any child-porn prosecution in which the government cannot demonstrate deliberate action on the part of the defendant, since there are many ways one may end up with child porn inadvertently (especially if one has enemies who would have no aversion to dirty tricks).
