Just passing this along...
"We learned this morning and have confirmed through press release from Rep. DeGette's office that Speaker Pelosi will be visiting Stout Street Clinic, 2100 Broadway, Denver 80205 at 2 pm tomorrow (8/6/09). Reps. DeGette & Polis also will be there. So, we've quickly organized patriotic heath care legislation protest welcoming party for Speaker Pelosi.
Meet @ 1pm at 19th & Stout"
Go Denver. Give her a “warm” Colorado welcome.
GO DENVER!
DENVER bump
Oh man, I wish I were in Denver for just a very short time today! I would love to freep her, show her what astroturf is.
Calling all freepers: what are some good, pithy and short slogans for signs?
GO DENVER
And kick out Ritter and Hickenlooper
Be on the lookout for ACORN reps who’ve been recruited to override the tea parties.
They’ll be easy to spot. They’re prone to violence and getting arrested.
Is this going to be a re-curring theme? Obamabots hold town hall meetings in hospitals? Or will Pelosi, fearing for the “President’s safety” decide to have invitaion-only town hall meetings? Finally, is she taking our Gulf Stream V to get to the meeting?

Good job Denver. Take pictures!
BUMP
Wonder if that’s why Michelle Malkin is there?
Jan-
Thought you may want a heads up about Pelosi coming to Denver.
Don’t shave or shower, and wear shabby clothes. Blend people!
;oD

I saw one earlier on FR:
PING! Ping everyone on this!
Ping others if you can!
I Like that !
I hope you have a HUGE crowd!
Nope, I guess not. I would actually opt for something like, "Swastikas? We don't need no stinkin' swastickas! " and make sure you wear old ripped up clothes, can't give that "Brooks Brothers" impression, can we?
I suppose sheis appearing at a clinic to prevent people from being loud. If you are loud, it shows how insensitive you are to the patients inside.
So sing!
Sing ‘It’s A Grand Old Flag’ and...what’s the one about the flying machine? In reference to her Gulf Stream.
I am sure Freepers can think of many more appropriate songs.
Just serenading the patients.
Thanks for the heads up buddy, I’ll be there. I’ll see if I can bring a couple of people along.
This time leave the normal Swastikas home. And, don’t dress to Republican like.
I see the Stout Street Clinic is some sort of homeless shelter.
Guess my Brooks Brothers will look a little out of place, hmmm, but what with all the high paying jobs out there, I threw everything else away!
And I don't live close by enough to attend, actually. I just want some good slogans so when there is a local rally, I'm ready.
bump
Tea Bag Her!
Denver to receive biggest snow job of the year Pelosi will be in Denver on 8/6 at 1 pm!
Rocky Mountain PING
It suddenly dawned on me the swastika she refers to could be the American flag. Give her a big welcoming committee Denver!
Sing Its A Grand Old Flag and...whats the one about the flying machine? In reference to her Gulf Stream.

Or “It’s not a mob until we get out the tar and feathers”
OK, that is like the greatest slogan for a T-shirt ever!
Wow is Denver that liberal?
Colorado House members bringing in Pelosi to campaign with?
I would think the only House members who would be seen in public with her would be Waxman and Kucinich.
Why don’t you just wear some $500.00 Michelle sneakers? They’ve been approved by the First Wife as appropriate homeless shelter fashionwear.
MAKE CONGRESS
ENROLL IN
OBAMACARE TOO
Report from Denver (one man’s take - mine):
I was able to get downtown for the Stout Street Clinic event. Stayed from 2 to about 2:45. I would estimate about 700, maybe 800 protestors. Estimate 75% were anti-Obamacare with 25% the other side. Good showing! I don’t think anyone made it inside, but chanting was LOUD with “Just Say No” and “Read the Bill” chants the most prominent. Pro-Obamacare people tried to place signs in front for media and Pelosi, but were outflanked and outnumbered. Saw no violence - only one slight pushing incident.
Also, I didn’t see any professionally-made signs by anti-Obamacare folks. None. But I saw very few homemade pro-Obamacare signs. Many professionally-made signs held by them.
No one that we could ID. They arrived in tinted vehicles escorted by police. Backed up to the door, so never saw them. I left a little early, so it is possible that someone else would see them.
YAAYY!!!
THANK YOU!!!
:)
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is headed to a Denver health clinic to talk health care with Colorado Democrats.
Pelosi and Democratic Reps. Diana DeGette and Jared Polis are visiting the Stout Street Clinic. The clinic treats homeless patients and has received federal stimulus money to keep its doors open.
Colorado’s congressional members from both parties say they’re spending the August recess building support for or against the overhaul proposal looming in Washington.
Earlier this week, Pelosi held a roundtable discussion at San Francisco General Hospital. Democratic leaders say the plan would extend coverage to some 50 million Americans with no health insurance, while many Republicans say the plan is meddlesome and too expensive.

Not a peep about the protests in the local news page.
Pelosi dismisses health care protests

Associated Press - August 6, 2009 5:54 PM ET
DENVER (AP) - House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says boisterous protests at Democrat-sponsored health care promotions this summer won’t derail a massive health overhaul looming when Congress returns to work next month.
Pelosi visited a Denver clinic for the homeless on Thursday, and was greeted by about 200 protesters cramming on four corners of a city intersection. The crowd was mixed, about half in favor of the overhaul and half against it.
Pelosi toured the Stout Street Clinic with two Democratic members of the House from the Denver area. Afterward, she said she welcomed protests but that Democrats would not be dissuaded from a health overhaul to extend insurance to some 47 million Americans with no health coverage.

And carrying Swastika signs!!!???
I made it there, and here is what one older gentleman in his 70’s or so did. I think it was the best idea there.
He had writen down all the highlights of the House bill, and then read them out loud. For example, “page 18, you don’t get to chose your own doctor”, etc. He had several handwriten pages, and just went through them all one by one.
Everyone within earshot listened closely, including me, including a few from the other side. I’d heard and read it all before, but it was very meaningful to have it spoken at the protest.
If I get another one to go to I’m going to bring along something like that, a cheat sheet with 50 or 100 key points, and the page they are on and read them to the crowd.
Now if I could only find where they are summarized...............
