Schumer: “Borders Now Secure”
$1 Trillion in Extra Health Care Costs

Charles Schumer (D-NY), Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, says that the borders are now “secure enough to move forward on immigration reform.”
Mr. Schumer’s statement comes on the heels of the murder of U.S. Border Patrol agent Robert Rosas, who was gunned down by members of a Mexican smuggling ring in July.
Five suspects have been taken into custody by Mexican law enforcement officials.
Immigration reform for Mr. Schumer, according to the Minuteman PAC, is the granting of full amnesty to all illegal aliens who live within the U.S.
Mr. Schumer pledged that his committee will have the new bill ready by Labor Day.
Agent Rosas, 30 years-old, leaves behind a wife and two young children who may grow up wondering why the government their father swore an oath to serve left him under-equipped to handle the violent flood of illegal aliens, crime, and drugs coming at him every day.
Mr. Schumer’s proposal, according to the Minuteman PAC, represents amnesty for the 12 to 32 million illegal aliens who have already made their way into the United States.
An outline of the plan has been endorsed by President Barack Obama. “My administration is fully behind an effort to achieve comprehensive immigration reform," Mr. Obama said at a meeting with the bipartisan group of legislators. "What's also been acknowledged is that the 12 million or so undocumented workers are here--who are not paying taxes in the ways that we'd like them to be paying taxes, that that is a group that we have to deal with in a practical, way."

Yes. It does cover illegal aliens. Those are the people without insurance. The rest have their own insurance or don't want it, eligible for Medicaid, or are eligible for Medicare. Only the illegals are ineligible for any of these.
The baby boom is getting old. AARP can't hold onto them for the democrats forever. The democrats need a huge voting block to take their place, and fast. The only place they're going to get another huge "boom" block is through the immigrants.They've got to do it fast, which is why the Health Care bill must be done fast. Screw the details. It's not about health care. If the dems lose power in 2010, they'll not get another chance like this one.
That's why they're not even bothering to read the bills they pass. It's about their own power - not about the peasants who serve them.

A republican in congress introduced an amendment prohibiting benefits for illegals and the committee tossed it out.

The Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund in Chicago starts their education efforts in 11 Midwest states today.
A spokeswoman says it’s crucial minorities are accurately counted, but there’s mistrust of government officials, especially among some immigrants who worry the information will be used to enforce immigration laws.
Forms asking questions on race, age and gender are mailed to each household next February and March. The forms don’t ask about immigration status.
The states involved in the program are Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, Missouri, Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Nebraska.

The "unused" billions in Social Security money will pay for the illegals health care. After the amnesty bill, the democrats can claim the health care bill did not increase the size of the deficit one penny . They "found" unused money instead.

This is going to be a tough one to stop, with Chuckie, Conyers heading the committees , Reid and The Princess cheer leading in the congress and Captain 0 leading the charge as prez.
If they do get this passed , maybe this will be the impetus to get a congress elected in 2010 that will overturn the bombardment of bad policies we are getting flooded with.
