Hannity, with Dick Morris, confirms earlier rumors. Senate Dems will pass Obamacare in three steps:
1. Dems will hide from constituants. If cornered, all have been issued laminated cards with Dem lies to calm voters. Lies ("no senior will ever be denied care," etc.) will never be incorporated into the Bill.
2. Reid will use budget reconciliation rule to pass Obamacare with 51+ votes -- with aid from committee chairmen -- once Senate is back in session.
3. Huge tax increase coming in 2011 when Obama suddenly discovers that healthcare is in the red. Those who oppose Obamacare and tax increase will be excoriated by Obama's press whores as "unpatriotic" or worse.
4. House members, after hiding during recess, will pass ObamaCare upon return. Blue Dogs rolled over with little fuss.
That's it.
Anything else is just a cheaper cut at a greater expense.
Since Dick Morris is involved I’ll stay concerned, but I’ll take this story with a grain of salt as well.
Looks like the revolution will be coming a lot sooner than most of us thought! Americans are going to take the country back! We’ve got to do it for our children.
I have just one simple question for our “esteemed” congressmen and Senators:
If you could not run a simple “Cash for Clunkers” program in which the original cost estimate was $1 billion that was supposed to last until November then how in the world can you accurately run, administrate and budget for a government run health care program that you have not read and project the costs for 10 years?!
Keep in mind the cost after 1 WEEK of the clunker (that program is disgraceful) program needs to increase by 300 PERCENT just to keep it going for another week or 2!!!
These people are INSANE!!

And, as a doc, I will never work as hard as I do now under that system. My life matters, and I gave most of my youth up to do what I do. I will not comply with what a bunch of marginally bright narcissistic fools in government push down the throats of the American public. I am perfectly happy working for nothing, outside of the system to help people, but I won’t become a puppet.
I gurantee you that they will pass it. No matter how great the opposition is. They do not give a damn about how the public feels about it.

Well, we have plenty of liberal politically minded Czars that can take the place of a talented physician who has taken the Hippocratic oath....

Unfortunately, Doc, it really does not matter that you choose not to practice under their system. They seem to have way too many Dr. Ezekial Emanuel’s among them who are more than willing to refuse care and let patients die. These same people refused to make people work for their welfare checks, so that sat at home and became obese. Now these same obese folks are being made targets of the government they trusted for their wellbeing. This is the cruelest of jokes committed by the cruelest of leftists.

What very few people are talking about WRT ObamaCare is demographics.
Demographics is at the root of the desperation of Obama and the Dimocrats to pass this bill.
Baby Boomers are beginning to retire and will do so in increasingly larger numbers over the next 10 to 20 years. This will totally break Medicare and Social Security.
Heck, in the past four months, more than 60% of the stimulus money given to States has been spent on Medicare obligations. States are going broke paying for Medicare expenses.
Meanwhile more retirees are claiming SS & Medicare, which will destroy both programs if nothing is done to reduce expenses.
The Marxists have developed a plan to solve both problems with one bill. Medicare expenses are reduced by billions by refusing health care and medical treatment for millions of retirees, resulting in the death of hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions, of those senior citizens. THat will reduce SS costs dramatically.
Brilliant. And evil to the core.
Maybe stringing together 41 votes in filibuster is doable though (Nelson-NE and Byrd-WV).

We’ll see how this goes over in Nov. 2010. Could end up costing the Dems their House majority but I would say that is unlikely at this point. If the economy is doing better and 0bama’s popularity is up I fear too many Americans will put their financial health above concerns over government taking over health care. We shall see.

It will only get worse if the abortion passes. If it does pass, I agree that the House will flip back, and the Senate will be in play.
I would also suspect pressure on parents to abort a child if amnios show spina bifida, dpwn’s syndrome, or other conditiond whose treatment will bend the curve upward. Perhaps threatening these parents with no insurance for the newborn.

There have been a lot of rumors about health care in the past few weeks. There was going to be a vote before the recess before there was not going to be a vote before the recess. Then Rahm said the vote was back on, then Pelosi said there was not hurry and it could wait until Sept.

You left out one other factor. The estate tax kicks back into gear 2010.....kill ‘em..and clean out their retirement....
No more RICH doctors driving around in Mercedes, they will all get the same pay, and same will go for nurses & other h.c. workers!
I know of several nurses who work as "weekend warriors" they work two 12 hour shifts on the weekend & get paid for 40 hours. That will end!!! They need to organize & revolt against this!

The Senate will be shut down if they use reconcilliation. Much of what the Senate does is by unanimous consent. If they go to reconcilliation, then the GOP will request roll call votes on every Senate action. Complete gridlock.
I saw Morris on Hannity. He did a real disservice to the audience in not mentioning this, particularly when it was threatened by the RATS a couple years ago over judicial nominations.
I was only talking about the one bill killing two problems.

There would never be a second civil war with any bloodshed. The blue state loser leeches are too lazy to get a job at McDonalds, much less pick up a weapon and lay down the ultimate sacrifice. What would the blue states be fighting for anyway? Their right to have an out of control federal government?
And what high level military officer is going to carry out the orders from Commander in Chief to attack American citizens? Secession by referendum will never be challenged, period.
There is no solution. Both programs were doomed to destruction from the day each was enacted. It was only a matter of time for each one.
