The whole birth certificate issue gets weirder still:
"I, Dr. Chiyome Fukino, director of the Hawaii State Department of Health, have seen the original vital records maintained on file by the Hawaii State Department of Health verifying Barack Hussein Obama was born in Hawaii and is a natural-born American citizen. I have nothing further to add to this statement or my original statement issued in October 2008 over eight months ago...."
But why are we supposed to rely on the testimony of Dr Fukino, whom I believe entirely. It is not my job as a journalist or yours as a citizen to take public officials on trust. They are not to be trusted, whoever they are. It is our job to demand all the evidence we want or need. I know the electronic record is legit. I have no doubt that Obama has every constitutional right to be president. I think the Birthers are nuts. But there is no reason on earth that the original cannot be retrieved and shown. Jon Klein and CNN were wrong, and I retract my apology of yesterday.

But the topic is interesting, even though I'm agnostic on it.
This is the feller who thinks (still) that Trig isn’t Sarah’s son, so we all have to make the same allowances for Sullivan that he pretends to make for the birthers. Nevertheless, he’s picking up on the salient point - why is everyone so eager to ridicule the birthers when the disproof is yet to be produced?
This might be something of a blogosphere tipping point.

Then you must be nuts too, because all the so called "birthers" want is to see the original certificate as well, which Obama has made into an issue because of his refusal to comply with the law and show it, and because he has spent so much money refusing to provide it.

Try explaining this reasoning to some of our FRiends who take the word of Dr. Fukino as proof positive of Obama's birth on American soil and his eligibility to be President.
I think the “money amount” thing is probably a spurious meme, whether quoted at half a mil or whatever, because it would be so hard to be privy to that.
But I think the liberals are now taking him and the good Hawaiian doctor at face value, and asking him please publish the durn thing and get this growing crowd of scoffers off our backs.

At this point, the only way to prove birthers are nuts is to provide a certified copy of Obama's long form birth certificate.
Anyone can be bought and paid for to say they 'witnessed' seeing it, which brings another question to add to the gerowing list of others. Why was this person able to see it? Did he break the law in doing so? Was he ORDERED to viwew it? By who? HAHAHAHA! These leftist moonbats keep digging deeper and deeper in their conspiracy to foist an illigitamate Usurper upon the nation, who's every action is null and void, even if he does serve a full term, and it is later found everything he did was illegal because he was not legal.

There can be one one logical reason. Obama is a fraud.
Birthers, broadly, come in various closely related flavors. It depends on their personal understanding of the law and their personal suspicions. Not all would be satisfied with the same level of demonstration. I believe they should be careful not to destroy each other while watching to see what Obama will actually do.
My suspicion is that he is talking about the COLB, not the original long form birth certificate, as that was the only document in question in 2008.
They are playing word games, but being careful not to entrap themselves, and maintaining plausible deniability.
If the statement by the Hawaiian doctor had been sooner (and a bit more specific) I believe most would have given Obama a pass who are vocally doubting him today.

This is a play on words, hashing over the same thing, the COLB. It may very well be the "official" document on Hawaii's registry. Doesn't mean it isn't a forgery, and it ISN'T the origional long form birth certificate issued on the day a child is born in hawaii.
You know, when even liberals begin to see the hypocrisy in Obama's secrecy, you know the bigger picture is becoming painfully clear to all but the ignorant and the faithful.
This guy Sullivan admits that he believes Obama is legitimate, but that hasn't caused his powers of reason to lock up.
This is the second article I've seen today, where a prominent lib came out and said something on the order of, "You know, it doesn't make sense that the President won't release his records. This is making him look very suspicious."
Has anyone asked Dr Fukino her definition of “natural born” and her qualifications to make such a determination?
It seems to be. The focus is starting to narrow down to the paper we are wanting to see.
I just hope someone made a copy of the numbers, so we can see who was bumped off to give Obama his number for that forgery they have to make....
To me, it isn't a question of IF Obama was born in America. He's already proven he wasn't. There was absolutely no reason to create this issue, other than hiding the truth.

Oh yes it did. I worked for government in my younger years. Numbered documents like that were handed out sequentially, any destroyed ones were recorded as such. Hospitals had to be accountable for every slip of numbered piece of paper they handled on behalf of government.
Maybe 1961 seems like they were ancient times to you, but not to me. The nation was highly organized by then.

Crooks and con artists aren't all that smart. His cronies, the Democrat leadership, and his campaign staff all knew about (or suspected) the fraud, but they all sold their country down the river for a shot at the crown, thinking (as all criminals do), that they could get away with it.
Once they all signed on to the Big Lie, there was no going back. They're "all in", as they say, and have no choice but to help Obama maintain the con.
But, it's much worse than that. They're now in a position of no possible retreat, and must build what is perhaps the most elaborate con job in the history of our country, in order to survive.
The stakes couldn't be higher. With every passing day, it becomes more evident that some devastating secret is being hidden from public view by Obama. The controversy has passed the point of spontaneous combustion, and is now burning out of control.
The only thing that will put it to rest at this point is full disclosure of all his records, yet Obama continues to stall while the political damage grows like some virulent cancer.
Simple reason indicates that he would gladly end this controversy by releasing his personal documents if they would prove his eligibility, but he continues to withhold them, ergo, his personal documentation proves him to be a fraud and a liar.
I can't imagine the amount of pressure and sheer panic this must be causing Obama and his inner circle. They know that if the whole ugly truth gets out, that they will all hang for it.
What he has done is show that he doesn't what his original birth certificate public. Could there be other reasons? What could they be?
His parents weren't legally married?
Who was the doctor?
Dual citizenship?
Footprint has six toes?
Or does he want to birthers getting attention as a diversion from what he is actually doing?

I’m trying to figure out why people who say they love the Constitution think Obama has to incriminate himself.
I mean, that within a day the slips, if ordered by time of delivery, wouldn’t be ordered by serial number, even if they all were if grouped by day. Some irregularity would occur in the time order that the births got recorded. So anybody born that day, who had since died, would be OK to reuse. (If Obama needs to forge one.)
When Obama begins to overtly take the Fifth, we have reached a significant point. So far, there is no movement to “Bush” him.
I think that some people are under the illusion that the GOP is still electable, or serves some purpose in being elected, or something along those lines.
Personally, I am done with the GOP. I don’t care either way what happens to them. I support the constitution of my country, and not one damned thing else. If that means that they lose even more seats in the future, then so be it.

Why doesn’t *someone* ask Nancy Pelosi, who swore (under oath in the nominating papers of the Democratic Party that were submitted to the states in order to get on the ballot) that Obama was constitutionally eligible to hold office, what documentation she looked at before doing so?
If she didn’t see proof that he was a natural-born citizen and yet SWORE he was, she committed perjury.

Which means, essentially, it’s a matter of civil law. Nobody is threatening Obama with prosecution for a crime, and it would be vanishingly unlikely with the current Rat Congress. The Fifth doesn’t apply to proceedings of civil law, only of criminal law.
So it’s perect the left who are worried about Obama can use the premise that they believe he is a citizen and all and that it is the right wing extremist nutjobs who are crazy that beleive Obama is not a citizen and that it is the right wing who are unrelenting in getting the birth certificate so to show what crazy loons the right are why not just show the birth certificate- so the left gets it both ways-they want to see it but they swear only to shut up the birthers——
That is a very important point to stress. it isn't "just' his long form birth certificate anymore. Because of his efforts to hide it, ALL his records which he has hidden are now suspect, and in order to reduce the possibility of forgery, ALL must be produced.
It would be much more difficult to produce an entire lifetime of forged documents that jive with each other.

Sarah Palin is worth a good look still. She represents an older GOP, in what is almost another land (Alaska), not its current RINO incarnation. And there are other remnant worthies, Jindal comes to mind, and maybe Barbour. Don’t vote for the GOP as such if you can’t, but do consider these people.

All of it can be likened to the 14 year old boy telling his Dad:
“Hey, Daddy, I just discoved that if I put the bill of my cap in front, it keeps the sun out of my eyes.”
What if his long form birth certificate says that he was delivered not in a hospital by a doctor, but in a well known house of prostitution by a notorious prostitute's midwife? Would Obama have tried to prevent that information from being released? How much good would it do conservatives to have a sobbing Obama on the evening news, confessing that he tried to prevent the information from being made public in order to protect the reputation of his sainted mother?
Or what if his stonewalling is just a political rope-a-dope, to humiliate conservatives when he finally reveals his perfectly legitimate long form certificate along with his birth records from Kapoilani Medical Center?
Too many people seem to think that the only possible reason for Obama's stonewalling is that he was born outside Hawaii. When you don't know something, it is risky to pretend that you do.
Even a biased queen like Sullivan can see that CNN blatantly lied.
