Daily Kos user aggregatescience reported that MSNBC / CNBC’s Donny Deutsch has called for a boycott of Glenn Beck’s advertisers due to Beck’s asinine claim that President Obama is a racist. Deutch announced the charge on his show, The Big Idea:
DEUTSCH: He called this president a ‘racist’ and a ‘hatred of white people’, okay? This has to stop. Here’s the only way this stops. The reason this man does this, this Glenn Beck does this, is because it attracts viewers, it creates controversy…
If you’re an African-American or white American who’s tired of this kind of talk, write to the CEO’s of those companies and say: ‘you know what, put it somewhere else on Fox News, I’m not saying take it [your advertising] off of Fox News, take it off this man’s show.
So now, Daily KOS, MoveOn.Borg, and MSNBC itself are now trying to organize a boycott of Glenn Beck's advertisers.

Donny Deutsch has a program on CNBC at 10:00pm that is sometimes interesting. He made a fortune in advertising and then decided to do this. His show is all about entrepreneurship. He is never more happy than when he has some self-made entrepreneur on his show asking him or her how they succeeded with their idea/business model. I admit I sometimes find it inspiring.
However, it seems like he must be running out of successful business people to chat up. I can’t believe he’s using his show for political rants.
I believe he bankrolls it himself. He certainly does whatever he damn well pleases. His show has never attracted significant ratings.

Donny Deutsch, the recently-fired insufferable CNBC host and official Gawker Douchebag, has been photographed in an affair with another man's wife, and it's all over Page Six. The other guy, Andrew Sandler, is not entirely unlike ad-man Deutsch, in that he inherited his business from his father. Apparently he grew suspicious of wife Lisa, hired a private eye and ended up with a picture of the two kissing.

I wish I could! I have to have cable... My city only allows 1 cable company - Time Warner, no competition - and I need HS internet for work... TW will NOT do Internet only, I can't get dsl or fiber (like Uverse or FIOS), and satellite's latency causes all sorts of problems with my VPN connection for work.
About all I watch is Fox News, though there are some others... Discovery, SciFi, Comedy Central...

No, TW doesn't make one get their entire package, but there's a minimum tier (I believe that it's about $17 a month) that consists of local channels that you have to order. It would be really nice if I could order just those channels that I'm interested in, but they won't do that. I have the minimum package that's required to get Fox News, Comedy Central, SyFy (SciFi), and just 1 discovery channel. I really miss the other discovery channels and Speed! But I'd have to spend an additional $20 a month at the very least for them.
