EXCLUSIVE: No. 3 at Justice OK'd Panther reversal
Washington Times ^ | Thursday, July 30, 2009 | Jerry Seper

Associate Attorney General Thomas J. Perrelli, the No. 3 official in the Obama Justice Department, was consulted and ultimately approved a decision in May to reverse course and drop a civil complaint accusing three members of the New Black Panther Party of intimidating voters in Philadelphia during November's election, according to interviews.

The department's career lawyers in the Voting Section of the Civil Rights Division who pursued the complaint for five months had recommended that Justice seek sanctions against the party and three of its members after the government had already won a default judgment in federal court against the men.

Front-line lawyers were in the final stages of completing that work when they were unexpectedly told by their superiors in late April to seek a delay after a meeting between political appointees and career supervisors, according to federal records and interviews.

The delay was ordered by then-acting Assistant Attorney General Loretta King after she discussed with Mr. Perrelli concerns about the case during one of their regular review meetings, according to the interviews.

Ms. King, a career senior executive service official, had been named by President Obama in January to temporarily fill the vacant political position of assistant attorney general for civil rights while a permanent choice could be made.

She and other career supervisors ultimately recommended dropping the case against two of the men and the party and seeking a restraining order against the one man who wielded a nightstick at the Philadelphia polling place. Mr. Perrelli approved that plan, officials said.

Those videos on election day were chilling. In this country, such behavior should not be permitted to happen. Under fascism it is encouraged.

From Wiki:

First Service at United States Department of Justice

In 1997, Perrelli left Jenner & Block to join the Department of Justice and served as counsel to Attorney General Janet Reno. He subsequently rose to Deputy Assistant Attorney General, supervising the Federal Programs Branch of the Civil Division, which represents virtually every federal agency in complex civil litigation. In that role, Perrelli led a staff of 100 attorneys charged with defending the constitutionality of federal statutes, defending federal agency action and regulations, representing the diplomatic and national security interests of the United States in courts of law, and conducting significant Title VII, personnel and social security litigation.

Perrelli also supervised the Justice Department's Tobacco Litigation Team in its litigation against the major cigarette manufacturers. In addition, he played a leading role on significant policy issues ranging from medical records privacy and the use of adjusted figures in the census to Indian gaming and legal ethics.

Perrelli is a big fan of the New Black Panther Party (NBPP), going so far as to vacate findings against the party for their voter intimidation acts that were caught on tape in November 2008. The department's career lawyers in the Voting Section of the Civil Rights Division who pursued the complaint for five months had recommended that Justice seek sanctions against the party and three of its members after the government had already won a default judgment in federal court against the men. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/jul/30/no-3-at-justice-okd-panther-reversal/?feat=home_cube_position1

When voting in PA just bring a baseball bat to be on the safe side.

No big deal.

Heil Obama!

The THUGS have gained control of the government.
They will do to America what they did to Zimbabwe if they're not stopped.

“The charges against Mr. Jackson were dropped because police who responded to the polling place ordered Mr. Samir Shabazz to leave but allowed Mr. Jackson to stay. He also noted that the department approved “appropriately tailored injunctive relief against Mr. Samir Shabazz for his use of the nightstick.

The injunction prohibits Mr. Samir Shabazz from brandishing a weapon outside a polling place through Nov. 15, 2012, and Ms. Schmaler said the department “will fully enforce the terms of that injunction. “

I presume that after this onerous injunction expires, Mr. Shabazz will once again be allowed to brandish his weapon at the polling place of his choice.

If I lived in one of those neighborhoods, my husband and I would bring our own baseball bats to vote if we saw some black panther type trying to intimidate people and wielding a nightstick or a baseball hat.

We may have to do just that...Eric Holder won’t protect our freedom to vote without intimidation, so we must do whatever it takes to get the job done. If the police can’t help us fast enough, what other choices do we have?

Jenner and Block is an old liberal/leftist law firm. Albert Jenner was a leftist smuck, and nasty too.

The whole Civil Division of DOJ has been corrupted by the Clintons and Obama/Holder. It’s spreading to a lot of other divisions in DOJ, and America and Americans are a lot less safe because of this leftist invasion of cowards and ideologues.

A decent investigation of Reno, Gorelick, perhaps Perrelli, and others in the Clinton Administration would shock the hell out of you (covered Mafia donations to the Clintons and the DNC, quashed asset seizure indictments against organized crime-LIUNA, Teamsters, other unions; let terrorists go - via pardons, etc).

This borders on treason in a rational society.

The Sturmabteilung (SA) were nothing more than paramilitary thugs who were used for raw political intimidation for an evil man.

There is no difference between them and the Black Panthers.

Obama's In-Justice Dept is out of control.

What's all the fuss about? Were it three KKK members instead of three Black Panther thugs, the "Justice" Dept. would have ruled the same.

The only thing preventing it are the guns.

On a more chilling note, I think it is possible that the reason they advocate going to public schools is to make it possible to confiscate kids of parents who don’t lick the boots of the new regime during school hours.

Come on now.. these guys are just communty organizers!

So what are they going to do in the next election, when the "New White Panthers for Self Defense" show up to join the "New Black Panthers" and do an impromptu production of Westside Story? Call them to the White House for a beer with the President?

obamanation was mentored by the same person who mentored the founding black panthers. This corruption goes so deep that it is mind boggling.

http://www.newsmax.com/timmerman/obama_sutton_saudi/2008/09/03/127490.html

“Barack Obama was closely associated as early as age 25 to a key adviser to a Saudi billionaire who had mentored the founding members of the Black Panthers.

In a videotaped interview this year on New York’s all news cable channel NY1, a prominent African-American businessman and political figure made the curious disclosures about Obama. (See Video Clip Below)

Percy Sutton, the former borough president of Manhattan, off-handedly revealed the unusual circumstances about his first encounter with the young Obama.

“I was introduced to (Obama) by a friend who was raising money for him,” Sutton told NY1 city hall reporter Dominic Carter.

“The friend’s name is Dr. Khalid al-Mansour, from Texas,” Sutton said. “He is the principal adviser to one of the world’s richest men. He told me about Obama.”

[Editor’s Note: Read the Newsmax Article “Who Is Khalid al-Mansour?” Go Here Now].

Sutton, the founder of Inner City Broadcasting, said al-Mansour contacted him to ask a favor: Would Sutton write a letter in support of Obama’s application to

IF a man had said comments before an election like typical black people and his wife had said comments like she feels better with her own kind.
Then there is other actions bozo has took and now this the left would be going mad.

But this just shows the hypocrisy of the left.

If it were 3 KKK or 3 black panthers it is wrong and it would be said on here it is wrong and that we have a bunch of bigots in power looking at all these events and comments.

But

Nothing from the left about this at all, why are they now i the streets going mad?
Where is the state run media who wold go mad if this was reversed?

Without a doubt this last election was a massive fraud and expect it to be even worse at the next because bozo and his left fascists know that many have woken up and they need to stay in power to finish their job .
