Speaking at a town hall meeting in Raleigh, N.C., President Obama defended his stimulus plan and poked fun at Newsweek ...
... for its latest cover, declaring: "The Recession is Over."
"I don't know whether you've seen the cover of the latest Newsweek magazine on the rack at the grocery store, but the cover says: 'The Recession is Over,'" Obama said, prompting chuckles in the audience.
"I imagine you might have found that news a little startling," he continued, to more laughter. "I know I did."
I’m glad he finds this so *&^*&^ funny...
I’m tired of his negativity. A little hope? Please?

Bend over America, here I come.
Obammy, Obambi, ObaMao really wants to be a stand-up comedian doesn’t he. Or as a friend of mine said, a stand-up commodian.
Wait,....he already is.
Cept, he ain’t funny.
Translation: It’s still too early for people to think I own the economy. I’m still planning to bame Bush for a few more months.
Corrected headline
The Obamessiah thinks the Pravda Media (Newsweak) overplayed their hand in declaring “MISSION ACCOMPLISHED”?
Investment and spending required to stimulate the economy require hope, a positive expectation of a return. By keeping hope dead he’s making it easier to push his communist agenda. Its what coomunists have always done.
His “mission” is not to end the recession.
Oooh....the Kenwai’ian made a funny...
President Obama’s right on this - it’s NOT over.
It’s his economy and his recession, so he oughta know.
That's correct- Uhbumma has ended the recession by turning it into a Great Depresion. Real unemployment in the 15 to 20% range, income tax revenues down what, 50%? Wait till the remaining shoes fall. ( Credit cutoff by China )
True that.
The difference between a recession and a depression.
In a recession, you’re laid off.
In a depression, I’M laid off.
He’s mocking the cover only because he’s jealous of the one time the cover hasn’t featured him in the last two years or so.
The Teddy issue was about health care, not the 40th anniversary of Chappaquiddick. I just looked at the issue in a bookstore--there was a timeline of Teddy's career that completely ignored Chappaquiddick.
Must go negative again in order to get the next “stimulus” package thru.
Hmmm... one liberal rag mocking another liberal rag.
Man bites dog
