Salon is paving the way for an "it's OK" rationale just in case BO did commit fraud regarding his birth certificate. Salon's wisdom includes "How did this discriminatory clause get incorporated in the Constitution?" and "Some of the greatest traitors in American history have been natural-born citizens."
Let's watch for a continued effort in the media to create a "So what?" context for the possible revelation of a birth certificate fraud by their messiah.

It matters not how the clause was incorporated into the Constitution. The fact is, it’s there. And, it should be operational, functional, and enforced.
There is also a process spelling out how to CHANGE the Constitution. And, that process is NOT just having some manner of liberal cranial flatulence, or a change of seasons.

I disagree. Most of Americas worst enemies are natural born citizens, the majority are currently residing in Washington D.C..

If zero is natural born, which I sincerely doubt because of resistance in producing a legitimate birth certificate, any adoption papers, Indonesian school paperwork, a legitimate passport (expired’s fine - reference to Pakistan visit which wasn’t allowed at that time) and of course transcripts from all schools he attended, I’ll accept it. If he’s a fraud which many of us suspect, he must answer to the killing of American service men and women, and a whole string of other wrongdoings which will be one hellofa mess to sort out.
Even naturalized citizens like myself are not eligible. Salon.com is living in the world of ought-to-be (not the world of how-it-is).
I am starting to think that the ones on our side that are giving up on our constitution are trying to protect Romney at this point. His father was born in Mexico to American citizens. Perhaps they are fearful that if we make a big stink over Obama, that the left is going to make a stink about Romney?
It shouldn’t matter though. Both of Romney’s parents were US citizens. Obama’s father was not a citizen at all.
Something very evil is going on though. If Romney isn’t qualified...so be it. Most of us can’t stand him anyway. But to make an ‘exception’ now for Obama or Romney, spells disaster in the years to come. The son or daughter of Osama bin laden could concievably become Potus one day for crying out loud if this kind of thought becomes the law of the land!

Citizenship and the Presidency
To amend the Constitution requires the approval of 35 of the States. The wisdom of The Framers.
Listen. And listen damn well.
We will NEVER, EVER, EVER, allow the Constitution to be amended to allow naturalized citizens to become President. You can take that to the bank.
Any attempt to change that provision, by fraud, or coercion, or deceit (re: ACORN tactics) will provoke a Second Civil War, and the dissolution of this nation.

Now, show us the Long Form Birth Certificate, with the attending physician’s signature and the name of the hospital, just as mine and my child’s has.

Sorry Charlie, you must change the Constitution to do this. I don’t think you want to open a Constitutional Convention because it may not go they way you Liberals want. Lots of great men were not US Citizens but they can’t run for president at this point. That old piece of paper—the Constitution, has done a good job these last 200 years or so—lets not fix what aint broke.

Sorry, I should have stated it more clearly. I do NOT want to change the Constition. I want to keep the requirement as it is. And no, I am not a liberal.
