Dubliners angry over the around-the-clock dismantling of U2's monumental concert stage mounted street protests Tuesday, snarling the Irish band's plans for the next stages of their European tour.
...
But U2 managers said the protests meant more than 50 trucks carrying much of the band's 390-ton stage, TV screens, lighting and sound equipment missed their intended morning ferry.

Do as I say, not as I do!
What a waste..and think I used to LOVE these guys! Our band used to play their music....what a pity!
You too?
But... but... he didn’t hug Bush! They should love and idolize any noise the band makes!

_______
That’s why my band writes its own music. We don’t have to vet anyone’s politics before we play their music.
Bono and U2 are the wealthiest combined entity in Ireland but he pays almost no taxes due to offshore companies. He wants taxpayers to fund everything for the third world and Africa but he does not want to pay for it.
He is a phony and their music is so lame.
“singer Bono, guitarist The Edge, bassist Adam Clayton and drummer Larry Mullen Jr. were told of the Dublin disruption about 5 a.m. Tuesday as their private jet landed in Nice, France, where they are staying in between European gigs.”
I just went and searched to see if Bono had spoken out on “Climate Change”. He did appear with Gore at an event back in January but in the story I saw, he is only quoted on his signature issue of poverty relief and not climate change.
I may be wrong and he is a huge advocate for the bogus claims of global warming but I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt until I see it.
Boner is your typical elitist limo lib. Do as I say, not as I do; I can do what I want because I’m important.
God bless Leona Helmsley; at least she was open and honest when she said “taxes are for little people.”
Just another Liberal Globalist eco-fascist phony...
Bono’s arrogance is much like Obama’s. They are both amazed that anyone would oppose their almightiness-es.
I found the same thing. Poverty and Aids are his big causes. He has even pointed out that going cold turkey on carbon emissions would be dangerous.
But, you see, he is rich, an independent thinker and, yes, sometimes leans a little farther left than I am personally comfortable with. Therefore, even around here he is subject to the same kind of class envy that fuels the Obama revolution. I don't agree with a lot of what Bono advocates, but I do agree with some and I still love U2's music. So I guess that makes me the enemy in some people's eyes.
I am getting a little weary of how so many of our 'FRiends' feel like this forum is primarily a venue to spew clever little insults against those they disagree with as opposed to rational discussion. (I will go put on my asbestos suit now.)
