LA Timies: Obama setting the priorities on immigration
LA Times ^ | July 26, 2009 | By Anna Gorman

As Congress moves slowly on immigration reform, President Obama is making numerous policy changes in enforcement and other areas that are designed to shift priorities and boost confidence in the administration as it lays the groundwork for possible legislation.

The recent administrative changes include:

* New guidelines directing immigration agents to target employers who hire illegal immigrants rather than simply arresting undocumented employees.

* A requirement that all local police agencies deputized to check immigration status and turn criminals over for possible deportation sign new agreements pledging to focus on those who pose a risk to public safety.

* The implementation of a rule that requires federal contractors to use E-Verify, an online employment-verification program.

* The expansion of a program that uses government databases during the booking process to find illegal immigrants in the nation's jails.

$100 says Zer0 is about to find “common ground” with McQueeg and Pansy Graham on Amnesty for 25 million++ illegals.

Plus they will all become beneficiaries of the new “health care reform” (did anyone think it had ANY other purpose than to insure illegals?).

As for the “requirement that all local police agencies... sign new agreements pledging to focus on those who pose a risk to public safety,” that means “ONLY those who pose a risk” as was attested to this week by the Arizona sheriff who was ordered by DHS to release several illegals he’d detained, because they did not “pose a risk.”

Forcing local police agencies so “sign a pledge” sounds like the former Soviet Union.

It is. You didn’t realize that communist sympathsizers fooled the Founders into incorprating the “Commerce Clause” as part of the Constitution, thus assuring our eventual collectivist State?

“Like agriculture, the food-processing and preparation sectors rely heavily on immigrant labor, much of it illegal.”

Including our meats processing plants and restaurants.

Is it no wonder we repeatedly have problems with e-coli/deadly bacteria in our foods?

The first place to look for illegals is inside the Social Security Administration records of “NON-MATCHING NAMES?NUMBERS”. That is the ground floor of workers who should not be employed using someone elses ID or number or both.

Over 60 McDonald’s employees were arrested in Reno a couple of years ago because one guy was using the name and number of a WOMAN who lived in Truckee- 30 miles away- and she has a office manager at a big construction company. SHE kept pursuing everything when the IRS sent her a letter about ‘unreported income’ which she failed to put on her tax return and pay taxes for”.

Due to her persistence, these 60+ persons were caught at a number of McDonald’s in Reno- and that was only one shift of workers. Reno is a 24 hour town.
The owner of all those McDonald’s was Luther Mack- a black man who was the poster child of the local business community for his “abilities”.
Mack was fined 1 million dollars for these illegal hirings. I don’t know if he still owns any McDonald’s stores. He sure isn’t profiled at every possible excuse on the TV or other media here anymore.

How can you make enforcement any worst than the lip service enforcement of the bush administration. Have the border guard act as coyotes. Oh, wait a few were caught doing that under bush.

He’s getting ready to dust off the Bush/Kennedy/McCain amnesty bill and bring it back as Obama/Kennedy/McCain.

Giving CA to the Mexicans would be like giving NY to the Quakers. What would they do with it?

Update on the murdered border patrol agent and our UNSECURED border, something that doesn’t concern DHS. Be sure to note the comments by the border patrol.

Three arrested in connection with slain Border Patrol Agent Robert Rosas

Slain BP Agent Rosas

Whether it was illegal immigrants or drug smugglers is not immediately clear. What is certain is Border Agent Robert Wimer Rosas, was killed in the line of duty by unidentified individuals at 9:15 PM on July 23rd while on patrol.

A three-year veteran of the Border Patrol and working out of the Campo/Pine Valley Station here in the high desert of Southern CA, Agent Rosas was reportedly in pursuit of suspected illegal border crossers with two other agents. They were tracking a group within a hundred yards or so of the border when shots rang out. Agents found Rosas mortally wounded with gunshots to the body and head. FBI and DHS are conducting an investigation and have asked all non-essential personnel including citizen border watchers to stay clear of the area.

KPIX in San Francisco is reporting that two men and one woman were arrested in relation to this case in a San Jose Hospital where they were seeking treatment. Reportedly, a blood sample of one of the assailants was found at the scene. Reports that the Agent may have been shot with his own weapon are unconfirmed at this time.

*********This tragedy underscores the need for a better fence and tighter control over the United States Border with Mexico. It also signals an escalation of the violence on this side of the fence or lack thereof. The area where the agent was killed is still only protected by the decades old ten-foot fence that smugglers and illegal immigrants have been scaling or crawling under since it was installed.

Local residents and citizen border watchers are stricken with grief, many of whom knew and worked with Agent Rosas.

“This is a tragedy and our hearts go out to the Agents family and co-workers. It is a dangerous job made more so by shortages in manpower and a relatively open border despite reports to the contrary. The duty of our elected officials is on the line here, our local, state and federal government needs to step in and secure the borders of this country now. ************It is a shame on every elected official that they actually let this go so far. Our Border Patrol agents are some of Americas finest and hardest working agents in law enforcement and for this they get treated like second-rate citizens with little if any support from 95% of the politicians.************** Politicians have taken a sworn oath to protect and serve this country, it is time that they made good on that OATH ” Said Ken Dreger Director of The Homeland Security Policy Institute Group, sponsor of the Border Patrol Auxiliary.

Agent Rosas is survived by a wife and two small children. Flags across the area are flying at half-staff.

I was talking to my niece the other day who is in the landscaping business in CA. Her view is they have to hire illegals to compete for jobs because everybody else in the business does. All the workers have SS numbers which are obviously bogus. They have had no problem with immigration so far but it is never far from their mind.

Giving CA to the Mexicans would be like giving NY to the Quakers. What would they do with it?

Pretty much anything they want to, like they're doing right now. It's already mostly Mexico.

A little example....

There's a beautiful restaurant in Laguna Beach which started as the Victor Hugo Inn, around 1938. For decades it represented elegance on the beach. In 1979, an outfit now called Real Mex Restaurants bought it and renamed it Las Brisas. They also own El Torito and other familiar upscale Mexican food brand name properties.

But what did they do with the old Victor Hugo Inn? They populated the establishment with nothing but Mexican males. After all, it's a Mexican restaurant, right?

Not a Caucasian (or even African) male in sight. And a beautiful sight it is: perched on the bluff overlooking Laguna Beach. A view that American men fought and died for, amid hills that Americans built up from the 1880's onward: the Spanish and later the Mexicans had nothing to do with the development of Southern California as a resort.

And that is what they are doing with California: taking over what they can not, did not, and would not build. Like a giant parasite invasion, the moocher culture will simply fasten itself onto the civilization they could not create, bleed it dry and then camp out in the ruins.

So don't be too glib. It's a crime against humanity that this thug invader population simply walks in and intimidates the citizenry into handing over all that was won and all that was built, and says that they have a right to do it because of the perceived "injustice" that our ancestors "took our land!", which is patent nonsense.

And so I have a little proposal, unearthed to the world right here on FR, to remedy all of this.

My ancestors in the Revolution were given Bounty Land for their service. One of them was given 6000 acres in Virginia, for example.

I propose that the Congress expropriates all land not already Federally owned in the most highly desirable areas of the United States....like the coast of California. And once owned, that a program of patenting this land to military veterans be undertaken, with recipients of honors being given preference, then by rank, and then by length of service.

This instead of what is happening now: the expropriation of land on the coast of California for "low income housing"...a code phrase for "illegal alien housing".

Within short order the coast line will belong to those who earned it, but probably couldn't afford the private land. And shortly after, the parasite population would begin to disappear, because I guarantee you that the military types will not be voting for the kind of politicians who give away American dirt to an enemy population (San Diego county is an example of this, although even that place is being overrun by the constant outflow from the disaster known as Tijuana).

It's too important to just walk away from our country. They don't deserve it, and our people who fought for it do.
