Some fantastic news to report on thanks to the hard working efforts of national blogger Mike Stark and Firedoglake who have been canvassing Washington, DC for progressive members of congress that will stand up for a public health care option and demand that it must be part of Obama's health care reform.

After a 4 minute walk with Doggett in DC, he became the 12th member to pledge to do just that.

He lied and voted for cap and trade and now he's pushing hard for Obamacare. I know Austin's liberal, but come on..... BTW, look a little further down at the upcoming events and you'll see just how many "grassroot suppoters" Obama has in Austin...4?

Austin is a disgrace to Texas. The capital should be moved to Dallas.

No! There are enough shenanigans in Dallas with the city council and the school board. We don't need the state govt up here on top of all that.

Lloyd Doggett, however, IS a disgrace to TX. All my fellow Texans that live in his district .... vote him out!

NO...that Cap should not be moved to Dallas. Its full of liberals now too.

Move it to a city that represents Texas values. Cowtown!

Fort Worth!

Or TYLER!

Austin is a mess and (along with California) possibly a harbinger of things to come in Texas. However, I live in Austin; and Republican Lamar Smith is my Congressman. Smith’s voting record is not perfect, but it is pretty good. It would be nice to have a Congress full of Lamar Smiths.

I’d vote for Waco (there isn’t anything else there worthwhile!), Fort Worth, or Abilene... Good conservative areas....and while they are at it make one of those cities the capitol of the Republic of Texas rather than the state of Texas... fly the Lone Star proudly !!

Austin has been a socialist lib hippy haven for a long time, and so far it has not proved a harbinger of things to come for the rest of Texas.

Doggets have been Yellow Dog dems forever.
