Ominous times for Murtha
Timothy McNulty | July 22, 2009
The feds are drawing closer to Jack Murtha, say these stories in Roll Call and TPM.....
SNIP
Ominously, O'Hair has said he will cooperate with the Feds. Coherent's CEO, Richard Ianieri, who earlier this month pleaded guilty to soliciting kickbacks, has also indicated he'll cooperate.

I really think that the Dems have reached apogee, and that the tide will soon turn. Murtha’s been teflon coated since ABSCAM, and it’s about time he’s removed from his perch.

That is a face in bad need of a fist. Not for all of his crooked dealings, but for the lies he told about our troops. Dirty treasonous bastard.

Yes, it’s long overdo. Not just the lies but a retired Marine (Ex-Marine) speaking that of Marines!

he doesn’t have the balls to resign.
To: The Cajun
While I’d personally prefer to see him hanged, there would be more satisfaction in seeing him become a bunkmate to some other much younger ex-Marine who went bad.

I put him in the same catagory as john glenn. He was a hero of mine during the 60’s as a Marine Corp avaitor and astronaut. But when klintoon needed him to block the senate investigation and he took a ride in space in return, well, trash that. He blew it with that crap. Murtha has been nothing but a pos and a enemy of the Corps. What a waste. I hope he gets defeated and goes home broke.

How great to see this in the mainstream, local, press! Gotta hope the momentum stays strong. At the moment, the Obamers have more important fish to fry than Murtha’s career.

I saw a headline in today's Daily Times that the polls have Specter & Toomey tied.
The Times is a pro-Sestak paper so I suspect they are trying to make Arlen look bad to Sestak's benefit but it still says something.

Agree, Red. Zer0 and his flunkies not only have other things to screw up but they’re probably not happy that Fat Jack went against 0 on the F-22. Of course as soon as the Senate voted it out Fat Jack hurried to fall in step with 0, he must have figured he could salvage a few points.
I’d forgotten about the series Smooth posted of Murtha being kicked out and disgraced, that’s most appropriate for the back stabber.

I agree with you regarding the behavior of John Glenn, but I have a hard time begrudging him for his second ride in space, however it came to be.

How great to see this in the mainstream, local, press! I agree, Red. There have been more stories in the local papers that circulate in Murtha's district about these Fed investigations than anything involving Murtha in the past.
One of my biggest frustrations back in '06 was the lack of negative Murtha coverage locally. That's changed dramatically, which can affect voters like never before.
