A further analysis of this poll:

1)While Sarah has a 7 point lead over Obama is a head-to-head matchup (the first I am aware of where she has the lead)her favorables/unfavorables are only +4 (46/42)which leads me to believe that a small percentage of Sarah’s vote is anti-Obama rather than pro-Sarah.

2)In the BO/SP regarding gender this is the closest Sarah has come to Obama among women (42 to 46) and destroys Obama among men (56-38). There is no way Obama can win LA with this type of gender gap.

3)In a matchup with Obama garners 53% of the Independent vote while Obama gets 33%, a 20 point gap. This is otherworldly. For months Sarah’s standing among indies was shown to be in the tank-WOW!

4)Among white voters Sarah beats Obama 68% to 32%.

5)And Sarah beats Obama by 13% in the 30-45 age range and 17 points in the 65+ age range

NB: Remember Louisiana is one of the American states the furthest from Alaska in proximity, has a governor who is supposedly a main rival to Sarah and again Sarah has not had any national political presence in the lower 48 since Dec 2008 for Chambliss.

These are fantastic numbers. And that takes me back to the main story of the day: the AP story that Sarah did something wrong.

Obama and his war room have every right to be scared of Sarah’s political potential.

Is Jindal a natural born citizen? I seem to recall that his parents were naturalized after his birth, but I could be wrong.

Who is a natural-born citizen? Who, in other words, is a citizen at birth, such that that person can be a President someday?

The 14th Amendment defines citizenship this way: “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.” But even this does not get specific enough. As usual, the Constitution provides the framework for the law, but it is the law that fills in the gaps.

Currently, Title 8 of the U.S. Code fills in those gaps. Section 1401 defines the following as people who are “citizens of the United States at birth:”

* Anyone born inside the United States *

Anyone falling into these categories is considered natural-born, and is eligible to run for President or Vice President. These provisions allow the children of military families to be considered natural-born, for example.

Interestingly Hannity pressed Coulter on his show last night to name a candidate, placing Romney at the top. She implied that she could support Romney, but he needed to explain why his Romney care failed and why.

She did say that she voted for Palin last time but would not commit to the next election.

Pressed about Newt she obviously has a personal issue with him, declaring him to be a good talker, and he should be appointed as talker for the GOP.

Pressed a second time all she would say was "Good Talker."

I surprised by Coulter’s enthusiasm for Romney. She was dead set against McCain until he picked Palin, but now she’s promoting Romney. She ignored Hannity the first time he asked her about Palin. On the 2nd try she just said Romney or Palin, and seemed reluctant to include Palin. Isn’t Romney pretty much like McCain, so why is she so enthusiastic about him?

Worse in my opinion, because he actually has a brain. Coulter may be holding back until Palin actually says something, this could come after she is officially no longer Governor, which if memory serves is this Friday.

Just reported what Coulter said. Romney is a looser in my opinion, and unworthy to even be a candidate. Romney Care should be sufficient evidence of his worth.

Re: Romney, she seem to be hedging based on how he deals with the failure of romneyCare.

Only all positive comment was for Sarah and that was somewhat limited - perhaps until she formally announces as you mentioned.

Folks when you are a high profile member of the ‘chattering class’ and that includes Rush Limbaugh your predictions or ‘love shown to a particular candidate’ can come back and bite you in the ass’ because of a poor performance by or a scandal surrounding the politician.

For example Rush Limbaugh came out with high praise for Bobby Jindal (not an endorsement) and two days later Jindal bombs in his rebuttal to Obama’s SOTU. Rush came out with egg all over his face with his love directed towards Jindal.

Rush is now taking a huge risk in his love now be shown to Sarah Palin. But what I think was the tipping point was Sarah’s resignation. Rush knows now she wants to be player and knows better than anybody how to read the tea leaves.

Ann Coulter is being a little more cautious than Rush IMHO. She is waiting for Sarah to finally break free after July 26th before going on the record regarding Sarah Palin.

I predict after Sarah makes her debut in the lower 48 sometime after July 26th many more pundits and politicos will jump on board.

Hey with a current 81% favorability rating among conservative Republicans, 64% among moderate Republicans, and 76% among all Republicans (all #1)these folks aren’t stupid. They know Sarah is a major player and has a real good chance at the GOP nomination in 2012.

I think Palin’s lead in LA is largely due to Jindal’s massive popularity in LA. He’s going to win the re-election by a landslide and taking the Republican party to great strides here.

Obama vs. Palin at this point is tough and unless Palin gains a lead with independents, she’s not going to stand a chance in states like New Mexico, Nevada, OH, PA etc. Romney could hypothetically carry some of the states such as NV, CO etc. just because he’s a mormon.

Jindal will be ripe and set to go in 2016 (if Obama gets re-elected which seems likely vs. Romney) and he’ll be a force to reckon with, mark my words. The guy has star written all over him.

The only problem is lack of charisma but I think he’ll get it by 2016 easily as 2 terms as Gov will do him a world of good.

Maybe so, in Jan. 2013. He’s another pro-life, conservative that the left fears. Watch for the attacks.

The only problem with Jindal is that he is too nice, including to those who would not be so nice to him.
