Uh, that’s WHY he WON’T show it! If he can make the right-wing look like “kooks” for believing he’s not a natural born citizen, even though he’s shared his COLB which “proves” he was born in Hawaii to the masses, it helps him politically. He marginalizes his opposition. He was born in Honolulu but I dont think he’ll ever prove it. it helps him to have this ‘out there’.
The leftists are using this scene as proof that the Republican base has gone off the deep end. Just like they used the polling data last year that 20% of voters believed Obama was muslim. Hmmm, before he went to Turkey to say USA wasnt a Christian, appeared to bow to the Saudi king, and grovelled and pandered in Cairo.
I wonder if he’s partly doing this bat-sh*t-crazy stuff just to make the right go nuts. I dont for a second think he’s a muslim, secret partial or otherwise. he’s a leftist and there’s a big difference.
Rush touched very gingerly on this issue a few times in the past few weeks with his jokes about God and Obama not having birth certificates. But this is the first time I’ve heard of his raising the issue in a more serious way.
I have though for some time that he COULD have raised the issue in a non-confrontational way by saying that there were numerous lawsuits, or that others were concerned. Not that Rush was suspicious, but that others were. But up to this moment he refrained from doing that.
So this strikes me as a significant moment. Rush wouldn’t have done this without careful thought. Because there’s always some version of the Fairness Doctrine hanging over his head. Or maybe an income tax audit, which was one of clinton’s favorite punishments for anyone who questioned him.
And why is he sending teams of lawyers all over the country at a cost of tens of thousands of dollars to fight the lawsuits? No economist, he. A $12 copy would have ended all the problems -- unless there's something to hide.

FWIW I got a fundraising mailer from Judicial Watch this week. I didnt check if they were using the birth cert stuff to raise money. I just threw it out.
Larry Klayman WON for the Association of Physicians and Surgeons who SUED by name hillary for her horrific health care debacle because she ILLEGALLY closed all sessions of her 700 plus committee (those who stood to get FILTHY RICH WITH HER REWARDS FOR THEIR WORK!).
They were fined over 200,000 and all court costs thanks to DC Judge Royce C. Lamberth...who very kindly sent me a copy of the judgement!

That may be the case, but I think it’s beginning to backfire on Obama in that it makes him appear arrogant and tyrannical.
Since so many ordinary Americans have to present their birth certificate in order to get a driver’s license, a passport or other documents, I have to think ordinary people are beginning to wonder why it is okay for someone to become president and refuse to reveal his birth certificate.
This afternoon on American Family Radio, Dr. Orly Taitz spoke about O’s ineligibility for president because he is not a “natural born citizen”. Under the U.S. Constitution, one of the requirements is for BOTH parents to be U.S. citizens. O’s dad was a British/Kenyan Colony Citizen.

The case of the “missing” birth certificate grows more and more curious. It has been fascinating to see how quickly various news sites have been frantically altering their assertions regarding Obama’s birth hospital ever since Jerome Corsi broke the news of Barack Obama’s letter to the Kapi’olani Medical Center for Women and Children on July 6. This means that Obama was either born twice in Hawaii, or he was not born at Queen’s Medical Center, as he claimed (or, more accurately, was reported by UPI to have claimed), in 2007 when he first announced his presidential candidacy in Springfield, Ill.
The attempt of the Obama administration to confuse the issue by substituting a computerized Certification of Live Birth for an actual Certificate of Live Birth – which contains information about the birth hospital as well as the signature of the attending physician or midwife – has failed, as WorldNetDaily had no trouble explaining the difference between the two to the American public.
While numerous attempts to clarify the historical record have been successfully fought by the administration’s lawyers, the issue became much more serious when Maj. Stefan Cook, a U.S. Army reservist with deployment orders to Afghanistan, filed a lawsuit regarding his questions about the legality of a deployment order based on the command of a potentially illegitimate commander in chief. But rather than contesting the suit, the Army took the highly peculiar step of revoking the major’s deployment order, suggesting that the Pentagon generals are not entirely confident that they can demonstrate the legitimacy of their purported commander in chief.
The doubts this action raised about Obama’s legitimacy were further increased when Maj. Cook was almost immediately fired from his civilian job at a private defense contractor, reportedly due to pressure from a federal agency under the Department of Defense, the Defense Security Services Agency. Although the obvious purpose of revoking the deployment order was to render the lawsuit moot, the firing only provides Maj. Cook with additional ammunition for broadening the scope of his lawsuit now that he has suffered demonstrable material damages.

I agree with you 100%. I just want to see it. Why doesn’t he show it? It would shut down the entire subject and make the doubters, all or mostly conservatives, look like fools, so it would be politically expedient for him to do it.

I’m just guessing. From what I know of him, Rush has very sound and definite principles. But he does sometimes keep quiet about things if he things it would be better not to speak out for some reason—because it wouldn’t do any good, or because it would be counterproductive.
For instance, he was pretty gingerly about criticizing Bush through most of his time in office. Not that I’m sure he didn’t often differ with him, but because on some issues it may have seemed better to stay quiet than to weaken a Republican in office who was doing at least some good things.
The downside of Rush’s mentioning the birth issue strikes me as two-pronged. It risks bringing on the Fairness Doctrine or other controls on free speech. And it doesn’t seem to be getting any traction where it would actually accomplish something—in the courts, congress, or among voters who don’t already oppose Obama anyway.
So his mentioning it now suggests that maybe Rush has decided that we are reaching a turning point, and that it may actually do some good to raise the issue. Maybe he knows something that we don’t. Maybe he has a sense that the public is turning on this issue.
I know that I have been raising the issue and reporting on developments in a dominantly liberal forum, and that recent developments have pretty much shut up the usual knee-jerk liberal response—namely, the COLB. They now pretty much understand that Obama has abandoned the COLB and it’s no longer available as an automatic answer to crazy right-wing conspiracy theorists. Then there’s that curious hospital business. Which one was Obama born in, anyway?
Maybe the dam is breaking, and Rush has decided it’s time to weigh in. Let’s see if he raises the issue again.
The pressure is starting to mount on Obama so I expect the bats will be out to protect him with their nonsense.
Lets make this an issue. Obama isn’t showing the BC because there is something on it he doesn’t want us to see. What ever it is—I want to see it. When we get Conservatives/Republicans and/or Independents in charge—I demand an investigation into the whole Birth Certificate thing—If old Obama hasn’t got a fake one in place by then. While Obama is popular and controls congress we can do little. But, his days are numbered once his popularity falters and his Democratic-Socialist Party is weakened in the polls. We must keep this issue and more before the public least they—like 9-11—forget this man and his ideas.

You can't directly prove it and you can't force the Kenyan to produce his BC. He doesn't want to come off too forceful and look like a nut but wishes to nourish a growing belief that Obama is hiding something.

Didn’t happen. And UPI didn’t state that in their article. The article is vague and poorly worded. Read the sentence in question and think about the different ways it could be interpreted.
It is unclear where UPI got the idea that he was born at Queens. But it wasn’t in the speech. You can find the speech on Youtube. I listened to the whole 22 minutes and didn’t hear it.

A birth certificate, a piece of paper, is tangible, and not having one in-hand may be easier to understand for those of us, and I include myself, who haven't read much about our history. Obama’s father was a British/Kenyan citizen. Our founders believed that the allegiance of ones parents provided some assurance that a child, born on US soil, both of whose parents were citizens, is more likely to have unwavering allegiance to our principles as enunciated by the Declaration, and Constitution.
Obamas Dreams from his Father were for a Muslim/Marxist government for predominantly Christian Kenya. It is our constitution, regardless of where Barak was born, which disqualifies him from being president.
There have been over two dozen attempts since the 1870s to amend Article II Section I, all failed. Obama’s legal friends (look up Sarah Herlihy in Chicago-Kent Law Review, 2005/2006) wrote many legal briefs arguing that Article II was “stupid”. Article II is a constitutional requirement which, thus far, no congress with 3/4 of the states has seen fit to change.
That is definitely harder to follow than a lack of a birth certificate. Of course, if Obama was born in Kenya or out of the US, he is not natural born, but I'm guessing he will eventually come up with some documents, and the press will claim the “Birthers” were idiots - issue settled! That is a smokescreen. Obama, assuming Obama senior was his father, is not legitimate because, as Leahy, and John Jay, and Madison, and Washington, and Clinton, and Obama said, both of his parents must be citizens. They could have been naturalized citizens; naturalized citizens often know more about the constitution than natural born citizens. But Obama’s father was not naturalized, and, from what I've read, as a Muslim and Marxist, never intended to immigrate. His dreams were for a Muslim-Marxist Kenya, perhaps not so different from those of his son for the United States.
