'Birth certificate' seller vanishes into thin air Dubious eBay character dodges agent, lawyer, verification team
(Excerpt) Read more at wnd.com ...
Did WND really take that “auction” seriously? If so they have to be the dimmest bulbs on the planet.
I didn’t think that this “naranja” was worthy of a “front page, breaking news story”. But I don’t run WND either.
Enough time has passed that it was off the radar anyway.
You just knew this idiot was a scam artist.
There likely exists data that could cause problems for 0 though. The actual long form BC must have damaging info, also most phone calls are stored in case they need to be accessed in the future. The idea being that simply recording calls is not a breach of privacy as long as no one ever listens to them.. but a secret court order could give a 3 letter agency license to pull one up and decrypt it. This is a dubious scheme to get around constitutional rights to privacy IMO, but just imagine what a few thousand Chicago phone recordings might have on them.
The BC must have something embarrassing. Maybe there isn’t a father listed, who knows. He could have stopped all this and release the information.
He still could be a CIA creation.
My guess is he was for real.
I don’t know either way, all I can say is, “COWARD”..
Personally, I think the “birthers” are looking in the wrong direction. If there is anything out there, it relates to Indonesia and Mr. Soetoro.
It would be nice to know if he was admitted to Occidental as a “foreign” student. But as with everything Obama, what do we really know? (With the exception that he is a Marxist and destroying the country)
>Did WND really take that auction seriously? If so they have to be the dimmest bulbs on the planet.
The objective of WND is NOT the actual auction but to keep alive the issue of the Magic Negro’s BC. That’s it.
Also to spotlight Ebay’s idiot verification department who couldn’t shut naranja down after what..6 attempts?
if only it was true...
I can’t believe how fast he and his compadres in crime are selling out this country. Even I didn’t think that he’d do it this fast.
If anyone has the goods on Obama, the time would be now to lay it out, before he’s destroyed what’s left of America or given away what’s left.
Every time I see a picture of Gomer, it reminds me of the “Citizens A-ray-est” episode.
I am not sure if WND took the auction as seriously as they did those pterodactyl sightings in Africa, but there were quite a few posters here who bought the seller's claim.
“Personally, I think the birthers are looking in the wrong direction. If there is anything out there, it relates to Indonesia and Mr. Soetoro.”
I happen to be a “birther”, if that’s what you want to call us.
I am focused on one thing only, and that is the release of
Obozo’s ORIGINAL, or copy thereof, birth certificate,
as issued in a hospital, with a doctor’s signature, and name of hospital.
I do not understand why he refuses.
As posted here before, it would look like this:

Personally, I think the birthers are looking in the wrong direction.”
Perhaps if the ‘birther’ is kept alive until the next election, voter ID may be brought to fruition.
That would be worthy, if nothing else.
Left Wingut over at this site has this to say about Free
Republic.
“Over at Free Republic, theyre posting this story and praying, LORD, GOD, PLEASE MULTIPLY THE SPREAD OF THIS INFO INTO EVERY EVEN PARTIALLY PATRIOTIC AMERICANS CONSCIOUSNESS, IN Your Name, Lord.
He has a screen shot of the nutjob Von Brunn at FR and he has this to say”
***”The writings of white supremacist shooter James Von Brunn on Free Republic, and right-wing readers’ positive reaction to his writings, is mirrored here for historical reference. Free Republic has taken the post down, trying to shove it down the memory hole.
To all the scoffers and doubters, I just say:
SHOW US THE ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE.
[crickets chirping]
but some guy named Olderman keeps bidding up,
so they better hurry if they want in ....
“Left Wingut over at this site has this to say about Free
Republic.”
Well, there is a ton of “stuff” all over the internet
about the birth issue. Much of it is just a lot of noise on both sides. The issue, however. continues to grow, and hopefully will reach the point where Obama will have to address it.
Focusing on just the real birth certificate is all that is needed.
It is sad that so many on our side ignored it as just some
kooky conspiracy theory, instead of considering it as real.
It is a classic case of “Can’t see the forest for the trees”.
“Perhaps if the birther is kept alive until the next election, voter ID may be brought to fruition.”
Maybe so, but ACORN would, no doubt, be running the printing plant.
He’s hiding something. What it is remains to be seen. He must have had more on the Clintons than they had on him. Hillary has been neutered.
World Nut Daily also takes seriously claims made on Wikipedia.
A snippet of the article at WND...
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa The eBay seller who first offered and then promised to reveal to WND an alleged Barack Obama birth certificate from Mombasa, Kenya, has dropped communications with a team of people offering to help him verify the document, only fueling belief the sale was a scam.
As WND reported, an eBay seller known originally as “colmado_naranja” claimed to have an authentic document from Coast Provincial Hospital in Mombasa proving Obama’s birth there at 7:24 p.m. on Aug. 4, 1961.
Demand the truth by joining the petition campaign to make President Obama reveal his long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate!
WND followed the ongoing saga, as “colmado_naranja” attempted several times to sell the document, or photos and stories surrounding it, on eBay, only to have the auctions repeatedly removed by site administrators.
Eventually, the seller promised to make a YouTube video of his story and reveal the “birth certificate” to WND. Neither promise was fulfilled.

You asked — Did WND really take that auction seriously? If so they have to be the dimmest bulbs on the planet.
—
Actually, it was a bunch of FReepers who believed the eBay seller... LOL... There were a significant number of FReepers trying to help get that “birth certificate” out to someone and offered the guy whatever help they could extend to him and “pumped it up” here on Free Republic...
I kept warning that it sure sounded like a scam and that I thought it was a scammer and it had all the earmarks of a scammer — and I got *hammered* because of me thinking he was a scammer... LOL...
“Maybe so, but ACORN would, no doubt, be running the printing plant.”
Possibly so, but that would hopefully leave an additional ‘paper’ (payment) trail.
While realizing your (sarc) about Acorn and acknowledging same, they already have printing ‘plants’, media and a network.
If our elections need to be accomplished with a “finger dipped into a bowl of purple ink” so be it.
(mild rant, not towards you)
You said — My guess is he was for real.
—
If by that you mean he was real in that he did have the Kenyan birth certificate to sell on eBay — I would say — *No way!*...
He was nothing but a scammer and he has proven it fairly well...
You said — If anyone has the goods on Obama, the time would be now to lay it out, before hes destroyed whats left of America or given away whats left.
—
If someone could — they would... and that’s the problem. No one is able to produce “the goods” on Obama....
well I bought it ....(not literally) for a while
I love these off=beat stories...
Nice.
You said — I am not sure if WND took the auction as seriously as they did those pterodactyl sightings in Africa, but there were quite a few posters here who bought the seller’s claim.

I posted that *one reference* to pterodactyls that you mentioned in that eBay scammer thread too... and it was nothing more than a “one-sentence reference” to *reports* that some had given about seeing them in some remote regions of the world. One sentence about someone else’s reports and nothing else ever mentioned about the “pterodactyl” word in at least ten years.
It sounds more like you’re trying to find something to support your own personal dislike for WorldNetDaily’s “Christian worldview” in their articles and writers — than anything else. I don’t find a problem with WorldNetDaily and their reporting.
How did you know?
I fully agree. We need voter ID.
There is no doubt that Frankenstein is in the Senate, thanks to voter fraud.
The Dems, now Marxist, are famous for it.
You asked of the other FReeper — “How did you know?”
—
Well, the report above, from WorldNetDaily pretty much makes it clear that this whole thing was a hoax and a fraud, like I was saying at the beginning of it, in that it sure sounded like this was a scammer on eBay...
WorldNetDaily has some very interesting information about that guy in their article.
You said — I didnt think that this naranja was worthy of a front page, breaking news story. But I dont run WND either.
—
Well, WorldNetDaily has been “hammering away” at the Obama birth certificate issue for a very long time now. And so..., this fits right into keeping the “Obama birth certificate” issue alive and in front of people...
I mean, WorldNetDaily is also paying for billboards all over the U.S. asking “Where’s the Birth Certificate”...
They’re going after this birth certificate issue “big time” — and so that’s why this is “front page news” for WorldNetDaily.
It was not just a one sentence reference by some random contributer to WND who stated that he believes that pterodactyls are flying over out heads, it was the Editor-in-Chief on WND who states that he believes that pterodactyls are still living on this earth.
And no, it was not more than ten years ago that the Editor-in-Chief of WND wrote that he believes that pterodactyls are still alive, but rather it was in 2004.
It sounds more like youre trying to find something to support your own personal dislike for WorldNetDailys Christian worldview in their articles and writers.
Sorry, but the idea that pterodactyls are flying over Africa is not part of any rational Christian worldview.
Every Senator signed the Patrick Leahy, Clair McGaskill, Obama, Clinton Senate Res 511 stating unequivocally that a natural born citizen has parents who are citizens - not one parent - and is born on US Soil (McCain's problem) http://leahy.senate.gov/press/200804/041008c.html Two dozen attempts at least have been made to amend Article II Section 1, and none have succeeded. The term-of-art has been defined and defined in supreme court cases and its origin cited unambiguously. Here is one of the earliest, the decision written by Chief Justice John Marshall in The Venus of 1816 http://supreme.justia.com/us/12/253/ By our (former!) constitution, Barack Obama, or whatever his legal name is, cannot be president if his father is not a citizen. He may have a birth certificate, but if the father is who Obama claims, Barak is not a constitutional president, and its a travesty that our judiciary, our legislators, and most of our legal scholars have not the courage to defend the our foundation as a republic.
I agree that they have been doing the work that the msm won’t. It’s just this guy, naranja was odd.
You said — I agree that they have been doing the work that the msm wont. Its just this guy, naranja was odd.

Yes, he was odd and I thought there were signs that he was a scammer, from the beginning. And you can see my many posts to that effect on the issue of whether he was a scammer or not. However, a lot of other posters really hammered me for being skeptical and saying it was fishy....
But, what WorldNetDaily was doing, was simply *reporting* the issue, and just giving the facts as they knew it at the time. They weren’t “buying into it” but were merely using the story to pump up their hits for their *real point* which is — “Where is the Birth Certificate?” ... LOL...
And I don’t see anything wrong with them reporting such things. And I was *really happy* when I saw that eBay scammer say that he was going to give it to WorldNetDaily — because I knew, then, the issue would be quickly exposed as him being a scammer, when he ended up refusing to give it to WorldNetDaily or verifying it or cooperating with anyone, about this document.
I believe the more rational thing for people to do in this Obama birth certificate issue is to get state laws passed requiring specific documentation or a candidate cannot be on the ballot. That’s something that would *get results* as opposed to be gullible about scammers on the Internet... :-)
Absolutely. No one had the balls to run before that wasn’t a citizen. Now one possibly has, we need to address it.
He’s a guy with pretty much a shallow history.
Don’t get me started on trying to get a copy of a birth certificate. Mine (from ‘57 in a small Texas town) has gone “missing”. I have tried til I’m blue in the face to get a copy. No luck.
God Bless,
Roy
Maybe you don't exist.
In Mombasa, you can buy any birth certificate you want, in any name you want, and for relatively samll money.
This issue will be resolved by governments, or it won't be resolved at all. A "Kenya birth certificate" that is not validated by the Commonwealth Office in London is worthless. Similarly, a "Hawaii Birth Certificate" that is not confirmed or endorsed by the State of Hawaii is also worthless.
