As her week of Senate Judiciary Committee confirmation hearings draw to an end, Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor has received a bounce in the polls.
Rasmussen Reports national telephone polling conducted Wednesday and Thursday night shows that 44% favor Sotomayor's confirmation while 37% are opposed. Thats a big bounce from yesterday when just 37% favored her confirmation.
Tracking data has been reported all week on a two-day rolling average basis. Looking back on the individual nights of polling, Monday was a good night for Sotomayor following the opening day of the hearings. Polling on Tuesday was much less favorable for the nominee. The past two nights have been better for her.
Rasmussen Reports will conclude our daily tracking with a final update Saturday morning at 10:30 EDT. Premium Members can get an advance look at the daily numbers in the Daily Briefing from Scott Rasmussen.

Well, the Klan with a Tan has got to pleased with this. :(
Looks like the limp-wristed crap weasels known as republicans had no intention of fighting agains this racist, commie dingbat.
Everything these days turns into a popularity contest. I don’t give a darn if 90% approve of her, she is still unqualified, a dunce and a racist. All this poll tells me is about 44% of the American public are clueless and deserve the governance they get. The future of our nation is at stake here and all we get are stupid, insipid polls reflecting the uninformed opinions of stupid, insipid people.
Ahh, the un-employed welfare groups have weighed in!!
Just confirm the beast and get it over with. If there is anything good that will come out of this is that we wont see or hear much from her once she’s wearing the robe.
You forgot frumpy. She looks like a freak'n laundry bag
America continues to voluntarily choose the path to destruction.
So, we were betrayed AGAIN by our RINO Senators.
well there is a reason for that....Americans (at lest 52% of the voting public and those on the right who stayed home on election day 2008) are a bunch of @$$h0le$
I wouldn’t count on that. You will hear plenty from her, though hopefully, it will be in dissenting opinions. And, I expect her to go on a speaking tour espousing why a wise Latina woman should vanquish whitey.
Yep - done. Now, what will we do after we get EFCA, ENDA, universal healthcare, immigration “reform,” cap-n-tax, etc.?
This woman is a bag of wormes. She misuses words on a regular basis, as Rush counted off yesterday, and speaks slowly to be sure everyone hears her remarks. Sotomayor is bent on “passing” and getting on the Court because she knows it is safe and for life. She is the shadow of the Obamanation in the Wh and has BIAS written all over her face. Her words in earlier court cases nail her real thinking.
Why they did not ask her about her Private Law Frim work, while being employed as a DA, is an example of the Senators being in the tank for the Club of Power.
The Dems did a GREAT job of orchestrating this idiotic interview.
The GOP, PREDICTABLY, rolled over and played dead.
Hence, the poll results.
wow....that’s underwhelming...as was her performance...
I wonder what Senator Jeff Sessions approval ratings have done this week?
I’m much less likely to answer the phone than such persons are, I think. And I suspect I have company on this side of the aisle.
