Former fighters from the Kosovo Liberation staged Thursday a protest demonstration in the capital of the Kosovo Republic Prishtina.

About 50 men who fought in the KLA in 1998-1999 rallied in demand of an increase of their government pensions, BGNES reported.

The demonstrators even threw a hand-made bomb and two explosives in the yard of the Cabinet headquarters in Prishtina but they failed to go off.

NATO troops from KFOR arrived at the spot of the incident in order to remove the explosives, and the police isolated the whole quarter.

The leaders of the KLA protesters have vowed to continue with their rallies.

"Paying pensions for separatist guerrillas on our dime, and leaving KFOR to clean up the explosives. Nice "thank you" to us, huh?"

"You serbs will get you thank you in good time, don't worry. It never fails. .....

The "thank you to us" referred to "us Americans" whose soldier sons had to deal with the explosives the KLA left behind.

As for the Serbs, you've stolen their land, burned their churches, gotten NATO to bomb them for 78 straight days and driven several hundred thousand from their homes permanently. Don't you think that you Albanians have done enough?

"I just posted what your pathetic people think....

"My pathetic people" are Americans, so if you are calling Americans "pathetic", boy are you on the wrong board!

Or should I quote from the Nazi collaborator and Serbian hero, Draza Mihailovic?

As for Mihailovic as "a Nazi collaborator" -- tell that to the 500 American pilots he saved, to former President Harry Truman who gave the highest American award that can be given to a foreign national the Legion of Merit -- and to President George W. Bush who saw that the Legion of Merit was finally delivered to Draza Mihailovic's daughter

....The creation of Greater Yugoslavia, and within it Greater Serbia, ethnically clean within the borders of Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Srem, Banat, and Backa;"

You just make this stuff up as you go along, don't you? Everything you just mentioned was already IN Yugoslavia, there was no point to calling that "the Creation of a Greater Yugoslavia" -- it was already Yugoslavia..

The cleansing of all national minorities and anti-state elements from state territory;"

LOL! Too stupid for words! So, while fighting the German & the Italian invaders and fighting a civil war with Tito's communists, Mihailovic (who even had these minorities in his ranks), was supposed to try "ethnically cleansing" 65% of the entire population of Yugoslavia? That's just impossibly silly!

5. The creation of direct common borders between Serbia and Montenegro, as well as Serbia and Slovenia by cleansing the Muslim population from Sandžak, and the Muslim and Croat populations from Bosnia and Herzegovina

Just when I think it can't get any dumber it does!

So now, Mihailovic is also adding to the list of those he's supposed "to conquer", the Montenegrins, a Bosnian SS Division and the German-backed Croatian Ustashi military who are already running deathcamps for Serbs?

You have an active (although bizarre) imagination, DoG*. Or is it that you think that if you throw enough garbage at Serbs, some of it is bound to "stick"? Well, it's sticking alright, but pretty much only to you.

C'mon, DoG*, we all can tell from your language that you are the multiply-banned super-troll Ronly Bonly Jones. You've been banned many, many times before, and you'll be banned again very soon, if your history is any guide at all.

Why do you keep finding ways to sneak back onto this forum, to spew racist drivel with no meaning whatsoever? The only thing that it means is that you hate Serbs, other Slavs, and Orthodox Christians. We all have known that a long time ago. There's no need to keep sneaking back and showing off your hatred (something that you should be ashamed of--NOT show off) over and over. Isn't it just an exercise in futility?

Why don't you find something constructive to do with your life? There's a whole world in need out there. Maybe you could contribute to the betterment of at least a small number of people rather than spewing hatred.

BEGONE, DISRUPTOR!!!!

Great DoG*, it figures that you'd quote a website where the author admits:

"I have been variously accused of being a neoconservative, Trotskyite and Croat nationalist and a supporter of Islamism and Western imperialism. Depending on how you define these terms, some or all of this may be accurate."

Yeah, real credible information there -- what are you going to use as a source next? Das Kapital? You are just ridiculous.

At the height of World War II, in 1943, Ruth Mitchell (Sister of Billy Mitchell, regarded as Father of the US Air Force) wrote a book entitled “The Serbs Chose War” to document and celebrate the valiant fight of the Serbs against German Nazism, and against Nazi allies within Yugoslavia. In her book she reproduces in full a letter

“...written by a Jewish physician, a professor in the Department of Medicine in the University of Belgrade, to a friend in London on his escape from Yugoslavia in 1942. As the writer is a Jew, for the sake of relatives who remain in Yugoslavia his name cannot be used.”

This letter tells a remarkable tale of Serbian moral bravery. Here it is:

[Text Of The Letter Begins Here]

“In Yugoslavia there were 85,000 Jews, including Jewish émigrés from Germany, Austria, Poland and Czechoslovakia. Thanks to the Serbs, the Yugoslav Jews had succeeded in saving and rescuing many of their compatriots from Germany and German-occupied countries. Service rendered and assistance given to Jews by Yugoslav consular officials in Austria and Czechoslovakia has specially to be recognized. Of the total number of Jews in Yugoslavia about 7,500 were refugees.

“After the [Nazi invasion in 1941]...the Jews came under the rule of various regimes, including Pavelich’s ‘Independent Croatian State’.

“The ‘solution’ of the Jewish question in the Independent Croatia devolved upon the Croatian Ustashis. [This was the clerical-fascist regime set up in Croatia with Nazi approval.] In Serbia, however, the Jewish problem was not dealt with by the Serbs themselves. This the Germans reserved for themselves. There are special reasons for this. When they occupied Serbia, the Germans did not find any anti-Semitic feeling in the country. They could not persuade either the local population or the local authorities to take any anti-Semitic measures.

“The fact that Nedich [the Serbian quisling government, installed after the Nazi invasion] twice demanded from the German commanding officer in Serbia and the Banat that he and his government should be given the right to settle the Jewish problem, against whom no drastic measures should and could be taken in Serbia, shows the feeling of the Serbian people toward the Jews. The following reasons were given by Nedich to the Germans for this demand. If the Germans wanted the Serbs to calm down, it would be of first importance to stop the terrible persecution of the Serbian Jews. The Serbian people could not and would not accept such treatment ‘of their compatriots of the Jewish religion.’ The Serbs consider Jews as their brothers, only of a different religion. The answer which Nedich received from the Germans regarding this demand was ‘that the Serbs have not attained a culture to the degree necessary to enable them to deal with the Jews. We ourselves shall settle the Jewish question in Serbia.’

“With regard to anti-Semitism, Yugoslavia can be divided into two parts, i.e., districts where this feeling was latent, and Serbia, where, it can be said without any exaggeration, anti-Semitic feeling has never had any root.

“During Yugoslavia’s twenty-three years of existence, Serbia has always professed the free democratic tradition existing in the former Kingdom of Serbia. There in the nineteenth century, and later in the twentieth, the Jews always had full civic rights and complete equality with their Serbian compatriots. This equality was not only granted in various constitutions of the Kingdom of Serbia and later of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, but it was also a true expression of the relationship between the Orthodox Serbs and the Jews in their everyday contact. This friendly and amicable relationship also existed in the economic, financial, and political life in Serbia. The small group of Jews living in Serbia gave their contribution towards the cultural and political life in Serbia’s struggle for the formation of a state of South Slavs. The Jews had in Serbia members of Parliament. In Serbia’s struggle for liberation, the Jews gave their contribution. Several were awarded the Karadgeorge Star for bravery in the battlefield - equivalent to the British V.C.

“About a year before Yugoslavia was attacked by Germany, by pressure from the Reich and in their attempt to suit their policy to the dictators, the Tsvetkovich-Machek Government passed the first anti-Semitic measure in Yugoslavia. The Government was not unanimous on this point. Dr. Koroshets, leader of the Slovenes, upheld the measure as Minister of Education. Serbian cabinet ministers, however, including the Minister of War, refused to apply the act. The application of it was confined to the Ministry of Education, under the Slovene, Dr. Koroshets, and the Ministry of Trade and Industry, under the Croat[ian], Dr. Andres.

“In all the schools and universities, numerous restrictions were applied by circular, but in Serbia, Serb teachers and professors succeeded in avoiding or sabotaging the regulations.

“In this regard Serbia completely differed from Croatia under Dr. Machek and the district governor or Ban, Shubashich. In Croatia anti-Semitism was inherited from Austria-Hungary. Anti-Semitic centers had always existed. Dr. Shubashitch’s Croatia had even prepared elaborate laws and regulations just before the war broke out in Yugoslavia in 1941. A large part of the industries in Jewish hands in Croatia was to be confiscated and nationalized. Anti-Semitism was particularly stressed in Croatia by the right wing of Dr. Machek’s Croatian Peasant Party.

“This report could be divided into two parts - the first beginning with the entry of German troops into Belgrade in April 1941 to the beginning of August 1941; the second from the middle of August 1941 until the closing down of the office of the ‘Jewish section’ late in 1942. The section was closed because there were no longer any Jews in occupied Serbia. During the first stage the Jews were tortured, persecuted, maltreated, taken for forced labor. Well-known Jews and Serbs were taken to German concentration camps. Women of the intelligentsia class were forced to clean latrines in the German barracks, to clean floors and sweep streets under the supervision of the S.S. troops. They were made to clean the windows of high houses from the outside, and several of them lost their lives through falling down. Jewish girls were violated and taken to ‘Militar-Medi’. Already during the first stage the Jews were deprived of all their property and most of them were evicted from their homes.

“In the second period male Jews were sent to concentration camps. But quite a number of men and young Jews succeeded in escaping to the villages, where they lived with Serbian peasant families. A number later joined the guerrillas. A considerable number of youths from the Jewish Zionist organization, which co-operated with the Serbian organizations for the preparation of resistance, actively helped the guerrilla fighters. Many collected hospital material for the guerrillas or posted anti-German posters in Belgrade streets. The name of Almozmo, a schoolboy of ten, the son of a well-known Belgrade dispensing chemist in Peter Street, should be mentioned. He threw bombs at two armored German cars and a tank in Grobljanska Street in Belgrade and blew them up. His elder brother, a medical student, is still fighting in Bosnia, in spite of the order that the mayor and members of the rural councils would be shot if such cases were discovered in their villages.

“Some forty of my relatives were shot in Belgrade by the Germans. I am, however, very proud to say that today two small relatives of mine, one of five and one of seven years of age, whose parents were shot by the Gestapo, are being hidden by two Serbian mothers.

“No German measures in Belgrade were able to upset the friendly relations between the Serbs and Jews. During the forced-labor period Serbs talked to their Jewish friends in the streets even in front of the German soldiers and police. During the period well over 300,000 Serbs were massacred by the Croat Ustashi in Bosnia, Herzegovina, and Lika and some 60,000 shot by the Germans in Serbia, during the period when Serbian students and peasants were hung in the main square in Belgrade, the Serbs of the capital had sufficient courage to protest publicly their indignation at the treatment of the Jews.

“When Jewish women were transported in lorries to the concentration camps, Serb shopkeepers in the streets through which these processions passed closed their shops and their houses, thus expressing not only their protest, but also emphasizing the fact that the entire population of Serbia, yesterday and today, does not and cannot participate in the extermination of their Jewish neighbors.

“The example of the Serbian people with regard to the Jews is unique in Europe, particularly in the southern part of the continent. In spite of intensive German propaganda in writing and through the wireless, the Serbs remained unaffected. When we consider what happened to the Jews in neighboring countries, in the “Independent State of Croatia,” Hungary, Rumania, and Bulgaria, the Serbian example shines out.

“Today there are no more Jews left in Serbia, except some children hidden by the Serbs and those fighting along with the Serbs in the forests. I saved my own life thanks to my Serbian friends. I was saved from certain death. Serbian peasants and my other friends also saved from death my only son, who was on several occasions sought by the Gestapo in Belgrade.

“It is my desire as a Jew and as a Serb that in free democratic countries where Jews are still enjoying full freedom and equality they should show gratitude to the Serbian people, pointing out their noble acts, their humane feelings, and their high civic consciousness and culture....

“I cannot conclude this report without mentioning how the Serbian Orthodox Church, the Patriarch Gavrilo, and his clergy tried to save Serbian Jews and Gypsies. Up to the present day the Germans have massacred I70,000 Gypsies, men, women, and children, in Serbia and the Banat. Serbian Orthodox priests and the Serbian peasantry risked their lives not only to save ordinary Jews and their children but also to save those Gypsies and their children. Today the chief rabbi of Yugoslav Jews lives in America. He was saved from the Gestapo, being smuggled out from Serbia from monastery to monastery by the Serbian clergy. He was handed over by one Serbian church to another, by one Serbian priest to another until he was passed on to Bulgarian territory. There, with the assistance of the Orthodox Bulgarian clergy, some of whom were his personal friends, he arrived at the Turkish frontier.”

"Someone translated it and no one else seems to have challenged it. So tell me, is it a cookbook or Nazi Draza’s instructions to kill non-Serbs?"

For all this supposed "genocide against Albanians" and "suppression of Albanians" Serbs are supposed to have done -- then tell me why there Kosovo Albanian population numbers seemed to grow faster than any population in Europe? Why did Albanians keep illegally immigrating TO Kosovo, instead of FROM Kosovo during the old Yugoslavia? If everything was as bad as you say, Albanians should have been LEAVING Kosovo in record numbers over the years, instead they just kept coming!

ALBANIAN POPULATION GROWTH

by Louis Zanga

Summary: This paper reviews the latest data on
the population growth in both Albania proper and
the largely Albanian-inhabited province of
Kosovo. The Albanians have the highest growth
rate in Europe, with those from Kosovo having a
higher rate of growth than in Albania. In Kosovo,
which is one-third as large as Serbia, the
population increase this year will be 39,000, whereas
in Serbia it will only be 30,000. Suggestions
have been made to curb the high rate of growth.
In Albania the opposite is the case, with the
authorities urging a continued population
increase.

* * *

The Albanian population (in Albania and in neighboring
Yugoslavia) has the highest growth rate in Europe, with an annual
increase of 100,000 people. In Albania proper, with a current
total population of 2,800,000 the annual population growth for
the past 10 years has been 54,000 (2.2% a year).[1] The annual
population growth of Yugoslavia’s Autonomous Socialist Province
of Kosovo (with some 1,500,000 Albanian inhabitants) is 39,000
(2.6% a year).[2] If one takes into account the growth of the
approximately 400,000 Albanians living in the republics of
Macedonia and Montenegro, then the total annual increase easily
reaches the 100,000 mark.

The demographic structure of the Albanians in the Balkans is
of more than local and sociological interest. It has a potential
effect on international relations in a region where two opposing
systems exist and actively compete for ethnic Albanian loyalties:
sovereign, “Stalinist” Albania and Kosovo, an autonomous province
of “Titoist” Yugoslavia. Further complicationg factors are the
official, nationalistic claim of the Tirana leaders that theirs
is the motherland of all Albanians; Kosovo’s Serb-Albanian
antagonisms; and the question of preventing the formation of a pure
Albanian ethnic bloc in Kosovo. The 1971 census showed the

Albanians’ numerical preponderance in Kosovo to be 73.6%. This
preponderance remains unchallenged and is growing, because of the
high birthrate of the Albanians and the emigration of Serbs and
Montenegrins from the province. Today, the Albanian nationality
group is 77-80% of Kosovo’s total population.

Two studies from Albania and Kosovo about the regions’
respective policies on population growth recently became available.
In this field, too, there are strong differences in ideology and
demographic policy. In Kosovo, for example, despite some signs of
growth “transition,” the population continues to increase at
dramatic rates, the highest recorded in Yugoslavia as a whole. As a
consequence, senior provincial officials have not begun to
suggest to the people the application of some sort of birth control,
a taboo theme until now. It was the Albanian Fadil Hoxha (no
relation of Tirana’s Hoxha), Kosovo’s representative on
Yugoslavia’s collective State Presidency, who discussed the
question of population growth in Kosovo during a recent visit to the
province.[3] He made, for instance, the startling announcement
that in Kosovo, which is one-third as large as Serbia, the
population increase this year would be 39,000, whereas in Serbia the
increase would be merely 30,000. He then suggested that his
audience should pay some attention to the problem of growth, though
he added quickly that he was not recommending birth control
through measures such as contraception but the establishment of
some sort of “order” and that everyone strive for the “best and
most secure” future for his children. In the field of demography
also, as in many other areas, the watches run differently in
Kosovo form the rest of the country. Because of the low overall
birthrate, Yugoslavia as a whole has initiated a policy of
population growth, yet to his Albanian audience in Kosovo Fadil Hoxha
repeated his appeal for caution, because, “like everything else,
in this direction also some sort of order and family planning
exists.”

Of course, as Fadil Hoxha himself implied, the problem of
population growth in Kosovo is not confined to the question of
the creation of an ethnic balance in the province but is also
related to other issues, such as unemployment and youth problems,
which continue to act as strong destabilizing factors there. When
he spoke about the “security” of children, he had in mind the job
factor, which, with the province’s current 80,000 unemployed (in
addition to the 50,000 migrant workers), constitutes one of the
most pressing issues. Then there is the youth problem and the
question of education. He pointed out, for example, that in
Vojvodina the schools remained empty, while in Kosovo, despite
the construction of new schools, thers was overcrowding.

Quite a different picture is presented by Albania. There,
the attitude is “the more the better,” especially in view of a
slight drop in the rate of population growth in recent years. In
a recent article the theoretical monthly Rruga e Partis
examined the country’s past, present, and future demographic
processes.[4] Apparently, the annual increase of 54,000 people during
the past 12 years had been 4 times higher than the average annual

[page 3]

RAD BR/253

increases in other European countries. During the same period the
urban population had grown annually by 22,000 and the rural
population by 32,000, in accordance, therefore, with the established
policy of proportional population growth. Through a strict
control of domestic emigration and by curbing deruralization, Tirana
has managed to keep unemployment under control. Moreover, Albania
has a population in which the young generation predominates:
those under 15 years constitute 37% of the total population, in
contrast to 21-27% in other European countries. The article
pointed out that the population under the age of 15 had been
growing during the past 10 years at a slower rate than the
population of working age, something that might affect the
availability of the labor force in the coming 5-year plan period. In
quoting Enver Hoxha, the article recommended that the rate of
population increase should be kept “more or less” at the present level,
by increasing the number of births and by lowering the infant (up
to one year old) mortality rate. To overcome the apparent drop in
the rate of population growth registered in the 1970s, Tirana had
passed a law in 1981 to extend the period of child birth leave
for mothers form 84 to 170 days. As a result, it was claimed in
the article, the average number of annual births had grown from
71,400 in the period 1978-1981 to 77,300 in 1982, an increase of
8.3%. A similar growth picture was also given for marriages: in
1970 there were 6.8 marriages per 1,000 inhabitants; in 1980, 8.1
per 1,000; and in 1982, 8.9 per 1,000.

The article predicted a population of 4,000,000 in Albania
by the year 2000 and said that growth was likely to continue at
approximately the present annual rate, whereas the average age of
the population would be about 28 years compared with 26 today.

"What does the Albanian population growth have to do with anything? Is it illegal?"

No, but it's immoral when you steal and force other to support you!

Besides, when you are screaming "genocide" yet your population growth numbers are continuously (without a hiccup) dominating all other populations in Europe or the US -- so much so that you steal other people's land & resources, whose supposed to feel sorry for you?

"The West at least is advanced economically and culturally, what’s your excuse?

For an entire population whose sole economy is drug-running, sex-trading and illegal arms sales, combined with foreign aid from our pockets, that's a hell of a question -- especially to an American!

We don't "owe you" a red cent nor should a single drop of American blood be sacrificed to defend your genocidal, mafia-ridden, church-burning butts.

As far as I can see, the only things that Albanians have done "for America" is to give us an Albanian Mafia and try to kill as many US as possible at Ft.Dix. If you call that "culturally advanced", then you've got some very different ideas about "cultural advancement" than the rest of us do!
