So even though she's about as left-wing a nominee as is ever likely to come down the pike, I predict she's very unlikely to change other Justices' votes by superior legal reasoning -- nor is she on the track to author deeply researched and thoughtful opinions that will be cited time and again over future decades. So her influence will probably be even less than that of the late, non-lamented Justice Souter.
On the other hand, Øbambi could have nominated a left-wing intellectual superstar like Cass Sunstein or Elena Kagan -- whose long-run influence almost certainly would be much more malign than the putative effects of a Justice Sonia.
Come to think of it, let's have the audacity to hope that those who know a little Spanish lingo may come eventually to think of her as Señora Sotomenor!

I just looked at the transcript and it seems to have kind of cleaned up the testimony.
The transcript doesn’t seem to match word for word.
Yes, her midget intellect won’t faze Scalia.
Cornyn asked her if she agrees or disagrees with the statement by Roberts, Chief Justice;
“The best way to stop discriminating based on race is , stop discriminating on the basis of race”.
She could not agree with that statement even when given two shots at it.
Her answer “should” earn her a one way ticket back to the monopoly school. The charge, excessive use of mumbo jumbo and inability to see past her prepared remarks. No matter the content of the question, just answer every question with “I rule on the basis of the Constitution”
Then he asked, “do you agree with Martin Luther King, when he said”, “I hope to see the day when all men are judged not on the color of their skin, but on their character”.
“Yes, of course, I think every American agrees with that statement”.
I vote no. Go directly to sensitivity training, and do not collect 200 dollars.
