The latest poll ratings suggest that many Republicans have turned negative towards Gov. Sarah Palin after her surprise resignation announcement. Reports CNN:
A majority of Americans think Sarah Palin is stepping down as Alaska's governor for political reasons, according to a new national poll, with a majority of Republicans now saying that they do not believe that Palin would be an effective president.
Only 33 percent of Republicans questioned in a CBS News survey released Monday night say that Palin would have the ability to serve effectively as president. Last fall, 71 percent of registered Republicans felt that way.

Its a CBS poll, which means they asked Democrats who pretended to be Republicans what their opinion of her is. I saw a poll that showed that 80 percent of Republicans would vote for her. CBS is in the tank for Obama, like every other media outlet

The GOP today would eagerly rally behind Lindsay Graham for president, and would proclaim him the savior of the Republic. I would not be among them.

This poll smells fishy. I wonder what the sample looks like and where they ran the poll. Maybe in Romney’s office?

A majority of Americans think Sarah Palin is stepping down as Alaska's governor for political reasons, according to a new national poll, with a majority of Republicans now saying that they do not believe that Palin would be an effective president.I would hardly characterize this as "turning hostile" to Palin, especially since she hasn't even announced plans to seek the Presidency.

Its a CBS poll, which means they asked Democrats who pretended to be Republicans what their opinion of her is. One problem is that if the Republicans continue to have open primaries, Dems pretending to be Republicans will be a large number of those voting for the nominee.

Another poll shows Palin getting 72% of the GOP vote. So who is lying? I would say those who are already known to be liars, CBS and CNN. And another article said that Palin had “broken” the GOP, but now has taken control. There would not be nasty daily articles if she was not such an extremely popular, conservative, Christian white woman.

Sorry it was only 71%:
“When it comes to a potential presidential run, the USA TODAY Poll displays Palin’s strength in the Republican base and weakness among swing voters, who traditionally decide national elections. Republicans by 71%-27% say they’d be likely to vote for her if she ran for president in 2012..”

So, there are no more reasons for more negative attacks against Sarah Palin by, both, the MSM and the RINOs, because she’s “losing support”, according to this article. I’ve been criticizing Sarah for supporting RINO Senator McCain’s re-election to the U.S. Senate in ‘10, while defending true conservatism.

The CBS poll seems somewhat at odds with polls by reputable organisations such as Gallup or Rasmussen.
More importantly, it seems very very weird:
VIEWS OF SARAH PALIN
All Reg. Voters
Favorable 23% 26%
Not favorable 37 37
Undec/havent heard enough 39 36
Can you believe the undecided, haven’t heard enough numbers?
Also:
All Rep Dem Ind
Favorable 23% 38% 11% 24%
Not favorable 37 15 56 33
Undecided/havent heard enough 39 45 31 42
LOL, 31% of identified democrats have not made up their mind whether they like Palin or not? Unbelievable. And 38% of REp have Favourable opinion of Palin doesn’t reflect many polls done in May and June and July. In fact her VERY FAV has been up to 45% with Rep.

Bingo! You really have hit it.
I've dealt with Doug Bandow indirectly for a long time, as apparently you have also. Staff of the CATO Institute.
This guy has absolutely nothing to say, nada, about most anything; but for some reason gets press time.
He is a prime reason why the CATO Institute is about at the same level as the rest of the mass media journalists of the USA. Empty suits.

None of this matters now. What matters, is what Palin does next. Her Op-ed in the Washington Post attacking 'cap and tax' is a good start. Palin could launch a grassroots movement to push opening America's energy supplies that would make the 'drill, baby drill! movement look like Sesame Street.
This movement could put so much pressure on Congress that their heads will spin.
What are all of her competitors doing? Romney? Still on his listening tour?

I never did, and I acknowledged that in my first post on this thread. But I’m pointing out that if a pollster calls you and asks you the question and you say no, it doesn’t make you a RINO.
You guys are delusional the way you assume everyone who doesn’t agree with you is “confused” or “just doesn’t get it.” It’s the most arrogant, narrow-minded response possible, and it seems to appear on every thread involving Palin.
