DALLAS - A north Dallas neighborhood is up in arms after another attack on the American flag has reignited anger among residents. The incident happened at Preston Valley Villas off of Spring Valley Road.

Two weeks ago, a homeowner came home to find his American flag in ashes on his front yard. Last night, it happened again.

Preston Valley Villas has become a noticeably patriotic neighborhood. But some of the American flags are now flying as a message to whoever is burning them. "It's kind of an 'in your face' type of situation," said resident Bill Sendelback. "If people are going around burning the flag, I'm not about to take mine down."

Texas is not the Texas of just ten years ago.

In Texas? Someone is really taking their lives into their own hands.

I will say this again:
Remember Obama has distain for the USA. Flying the American flag is a way to show defiance against the one.

We have got to put an end to the swarming of our large cities, by foreign nationals, I don’t care who they are.

The citizens of this nation have a culture, have a right to that culture, and should not have to surrender it to tens of thousands of newcomers.

I think some “aversion therapy” would be best in this situation. In this case, a motion sensitive camera, and a canister of pepper spray rigged to give the perp a horse dose. And I’m not talking about one of those little pepper sprayers, but a big, police style, “whoosh” pepper sprayer.

Hopefully, recording the event on video.

I hope that's not true. I'm not from Texas, but I've always had an affinity for it, I've always seen Texas as a wellspring of true Americanism. They say as California goes, so goes the nation, and that may true for economics, but I have always seen Texas, rightly or wrongly, as being a bedrock of the traditional American way. If Texas is changing for the worse, then so will America.

Perhaps the statement on California is true after all?

When you elect liberals into office, you get this. When you elect Conservatives into office, you get Liberals whining about why they cannot do this.

I don’t feel the allegiance to the flag that I once did. I thought well the way things are going and if this is the new US I might become a flag burner also.

We knew it back in 97 when prop 187 was tossed by the Feds.

What happens here happens to the rest of the nation in a few years.

We now have Pelosi in charge of legislation and Panneta our security.

Someone needs to patent an American flag that squirts lighter fluid at anyone who messes with it.

Go ahead, light that match, moron!

I would love for the hippie who is doing this to get caught in action. And then I would love for someone to give him a quick swift kick in the seat.

Mel;

You should free even stronger feelings of support-as our flag represent our constitution, and not our social climate.

When the going gets tough, the tough get going!

Be encouraged! The silent meddlesome creeping against our way of life is now en vogue and they will be coming out of the woodworks, making them much easier to identify and defeat.

God Bless and Hang On!

I bought a US flag on 9/11 and flew it until 11/8/08. Then I took it down. Last month I bought a Gadsden flag. That’s what I fly now.

It doesn't have to be about YOU all the time! Don't mistake your self-righteousness for actual righteousness. What you wrote is a very selfish thing to say, and I can't help but hear an influence from our "me-first" narcissistic culture (a very pernicious influence in our country lately).

My point is, out of respect for past generations who lived and died under that flag, I'd hope that you don't become a flag burner someday.

Why is it illegal to kill a bald eagle. It’s not because it’s endangered (it isn’t — hasn’t been for a while now).

It is illegal to kill a bald eagle because it is a national emblem.

Now tell me how it can possibly be okay to burn the flag.

As far as I'm concerned, the flag represents this great and good country, not the rot and filth in Washington.

I’m not sure that I understand why they don’t strike the colors at dusk - especially given the hostile circumstances.
