Spokesman belittles WND reporter, asks 'what reporting' has been done
White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs today refused to confirm that a letter posted by the Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women and Children in Honolulu – purportedly from President Obama claiming the facility as his birthplace – is, in fact, real.
The issue arose today when Les Kinsolving, WND's correspondent at the White House, asked Gibbs about the letter, which the hospital also used in a magazine fundraising article.
However, when WND reported on the posted images and questioned their authenticity, the hospital concealed the Internet image it had posted, and then refused to confirm that the letter even exists.

The letter looks seriously fake.
He can’t comment because if he did and it turned out to be disproved at a later date, then he would have lied, or perjured himself. In either event, a crime would occur. Better to just stand there with that pukey smirk on his face and hope that eventually people will lose interest. Like that’s going to happen.
If a Hospital, or any Institution, Organization or Individual is forging Letters and the President’s Signature for Financial Gain or ANY Reason, You would think the Presidential Spokesman would want to know and track down Fraudulent Activity that reflects on the President. You would hardly expect Baghdad Bob Gibbs to ridicule the Messenger that brings a major item like this to their attention, unless of course Baghdad would rather make it disappear like every other document relating to the subject.

This administration is in trouble. The facts are coming to light quickly each day, especially all the scrubbing done last week. The inevitable is coming, and it’s not going to take 4 years.
I’ve posted details on Zero’s b.c., past records, passport breech, last names, Washington State history, etc on another extremely nutty liberal site. Besides the flames, name calling and pissed off subjective moderators, there is no response. How can there be? The evidence is chilling, mounting, and is coming round to kick Hussein’s ass.

Is that supposed to be some sort of threat? That would be the best thing to happen! What a nitwit Gibbs is. And he doesn't know the exact name of the hospital where Obama was born yet dismisses the issue!
Something tells me this letter was a ruse by someone working for the hospital. Why is there no emblem on the letterhead?
With more and more people becoming disallusioned with his presidency, the more likely the prospects of something coming of this issue.

I've seen two versions: one where the emblem is blue and one where it is white and raised. For some strange reason, it's cut off in the internet image of the letter supposedly provided by Obama.
Their standard tactic is to answer unwanted questions with smug disdain instead of answering the question.

so...Neil Abercrombie reads a letter from obama to the illustrious guests at a Kapi'olani dinner - the Kapio'lani website proudly displays the letter on its website and now it's gone...of course I believe it! Who wouldn't believe Neil Abercrombie? He's the same Neil Abercrombie who is the only one on Hawaii who ever saw Stanley Ann Dunham and Obama Snr together, remember? (sarc.)

I may be mistaken, but I thought I saw where someone did a screen capture of where Kapolini Medical Center had posted that letter on their web site before they pulled it.

This whole situation makes me wonder if anyone in the Obama administration is beginning to wonder about Obama’s birthplace. Sure, they’re liberal Democrats but they probably care about the country and the Constitution (in different ways than I do, but still). So many lawyers in that administration, trained in logic and the psychology of defense mechanisms...what do they think when they see Gibbs’ hysterics and mockery? Even if I were an Obama loyalist, I would start to have doubts and a weird feeling in the pit of my stomach.

The next time a reporter asks Gibbs a question like this, he or she should preface it with the following: “Without giggling or showing other dismissive gestures, please answer the following question.” Put him on notice that his adolescent equivalent of eye-rolling is wearing thin.

An attempt to get the pronunciation closer to the way the Hawaiians say it. Sort of like the change in spelling of Bombay to Mumbai.
I work with a guy from there, an old guy, he's Indian not British, although I think, like BHO, he was born a British subject, but he doesn't like the change.
Baloney. If Mr. Gibbs does not answer this question, then it is because of willfulness rather than ignorance.
