White House ‘Dirty Tricks’ Torpedo Palin

White House ‘dirty tricks’ torpedo Palin

Sarah Baxter in Washington

Sarah Palin, the former vice-presidential candidate, has accused members of President Barack Obama’s administration of a dirty tricks campaign to derail her political career.

Palin’s bizarre announcement that she would quit her post as governor of Alaska on July 26 stunned political friends and foes and has been greeted with derision by a growing number of prominent Republicans. Some conservative insiders have accused the charismatic mother-of-five of succumbing to “paranoia”.

Among the many explanations for her abrupt departure – from an alleged desire to be free to pursue the presidency in 2012 to money worries and ethics problems – the theory put forward by her spokeswoman, Meg Stapleton, is that members of Obama’s White House are to blame.

Palin, 45, complained in her resignation speech on July 3 that she was being hounded constantly by “frivolous” ethics complaints. “This [is] political absurdity, the politics of personal destruction,” she said. “Todd [her husband] and I are looking at more than half a million dollars in legal bills to set the record straight.”

Palin and her advisers believe the most damaging ethics accusation concerned “Trooper-gate”, when Palin was accused of pursuing a vendetta to get her former brother-in-law, Mike Wooten, sacked as an Alaska state trooper.

A month before the 2008 presidential election, in which she was Senator John McCain’s running mate, the Alaska legislative council found Palin guilty of abusing her power after an investigator concluded that “impermissible pressure was placed on several subordinates in order to advance a personal agenda”.

If the Zero and Nancy Pelosi had just spoken up together and told the Democrats that this was very unseemly and to please stop it at once, they would have kept Sarah Palin pretty harmlessly bottled up in Alaska. But no, they had to go throw “Sister Rabbit” in the briar patch. They will intensely regret this in 2010 and 2012.

Obama chose not to because he is responsible for it. Taking out his opposition in this manner has been his MO throughout his political career.

A Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation (”SLAPP”) is a lawsuit that is intended to intimidate and silence critics by burdening them with the cost of a legal defense until they abandon their criticism or opposition. Winning the lawsuit is not necessarily the intent of the person filing the SLAPP. The plaintiff’s goals are accomplished if the defendant succumbs to fear, intimidation, mounting legal costs or simple exhaustion and abandons the criticism. A SLAPP may also intimidate others from participating in the debate.

...and no one has been charged. People were inside but escaped. The exits were targeted.

Now who would do that? Guesses?

“Kim Elton, the Alaska state senator who chaired the legislative council, is a friend of Peter Rouse, Obama’s former Senate chief of staff, who used to live in Juneau, the capital of Alaska. Rouse now serves as a senior adviser to Obama at the White House and Elton was appointed director of Alaska affairs at the US Department of the Interior in March”
So heres a smoking gun, quid pro quid and it merits no further discussion in the lengthy article?

“CHICAGO THUGS?”

And we’ve not heard much at all, even with $1mm+ in damage. With people inside, including at least 2 children, and accelerant at the doors, this was attempted murder. She didn’t win the ticket. They wanted to kill her anyway, along with the congregation. Burning down a Christian church and attempting murder, with impunity, is not a hate crime, apparently, especially for the enemedia & WH. IMO, that was the new Reichstag fire; we are all targets now.

Just more examples and proof that the left doesn’t just see their ideological opponents as opponents, but as enemies to be killed.

And kill us they will, if they get the power to get away with it.

It makes people like me who had my doubts about her root for her more. If nothing else, she has the “it” factor. She is a star. Sure she might need something here or there, but who doesn’t? If nothing else, she is learning in the hardest way possible how rotten the elites of BOTH parties are. They think they know better than all of us. Witness all the Republicans who have been in the Beltway too long, or the Dems who are beholden to Wall Street. The difference it seems is visible in what happened to Palin (she is too “smalltown” or too “Christian”), and to blue collar supporters of Hillary (they were said to be “racist” for not supporting Obama). It is both sides of the same coin. I know a lot of Dems who are the salt of the earth people, who only vote Dem cause their families do, or for supposed economic reasons. In the media, they are called “white trash” or “blue collar” or “rednecks,” but they are Americans. Palin has qualities which can appeal to them, and to soccer moms, and values voters and entrepreneurs and rugged Westerners and people who are sick of slick Beltway hacks. I could go on and on...

A lazy reporter decided to put out the story without thinking or saying anything original. It’s typical journalistic malpractice because they want a pay check without having to actually think or work.

The Brits are usually better than our media, but there are crappy reporters in every locale.

It seems as if there is huge pressure for Sarah Palin to reveal her "plans." The enemies to Sarah are pressuring her to reveal those plans. I see it in this paragraph from the Times article:

"Prominent Republicans, including governors who are seeking reelection, are proving reluctant to invite her to speak or fundraise for them, despite her ability to garner crowds, until her motives for quitting and future plans are clearer.

They will only believe in her if she reveals the plan and if the plan has merit. If only she will reveal it so they can once again believe in her. Well, sports fans, this is war. Anything that reveals the strategy to the enemy would be like the other team knowing what was said in your huddle. You will know the plan when the ball is in play-- Saracuda! And the fight will be more difficult than what she has endured in Alaska. The fight in Alaska just got her warmed up. It just revealed to her the face of the enemy: Zer0's surrogates and his coterie. It was a fight that will prepare her for the fight ahead. And if it prepares her for the race to the presidency, so be it. The real game is to defeat this monster that has been unleashed by the Marxists in Washington DC. If it takes Sarah Palin as President to win this battle, there are many of us who will give our thumbs up and give her all of our support.

Sarah Palin has experienced the tyranny that exists in this country by the forces opposing freedom. Sarah's freedom as well as ours are under assault. This experience is not "paranoia." It is real (just ask Joe the Plumber) and it has been ignored by the GOP since Ronald Reagan. The GOP has fallen down on the job in fighting this attack on our freedom. Just look at how GOP has shown their inept irresponsibility by not stepping up to the plate and defending Sarah Palin against those bogus ethics charges. They have let her spin in the wind; hoping she would fall by the wayside. They have blamed it on Alaska being so far away and it is too hard to follow what's going on up there. B.S. to that. Shame on the GOP!

We will see how Sarah Palin fights the tyranny that is being created by the Obama machine and the aiders and abettors who favor collectivism over freedom. It can only be fought when the opposition has a leader and a fighter--something the GOP could not come up with if its life depended on it.

We will know when the ball is in play.

The Republicans are dropping like flies,” said Larry Sabato, professor of politics at the University of Virginia. “The party is beginning to look third rate. It could take a generation for the Republicans to return to power, as with the Tories after Margaret Thatcher.”

Keep your fingers crossed, Sabato, the falsifying of your statements may be so near at hand this time that people will remember them and you'll be unmasked for the fool you are.

Obama isnt doing the dirty work. That is what he has his henchmen for. Instead of blackjacks and tire irons, they attack with lawyers and lawsuits. Obama just sits back, hits a button and out they go. They come out from whatever rock or latrine they rest under.
Obama destroyed the two people running agaisnt him in Ill that way.

According to a new study from Accuracy in Media, the Obama administration spends $100,000 per week on message control. It seems in ObamaWorld, a picture is worth a thousand paychecks — $5 million a year distributed in salaries alone. Everyone from ethnocentric Message Coordinators to Town Hall Organizers to Speechwriters will divvy it all up.

One of the little secrets in ObamaWorld is that, while the President made good on his promise not to raise salaries, he quietly added more high paid staff. Lots more. Hence, an army of image makers are paid by taxpayers to ensure the president’s message saturates the daytime airwaves, grocery aisle rags, demographically desirable blogs and that twitters are at full tilt. Or, is that twit?
